King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 868 - 868 856 The Seventh Demon King
Chapter 868: Chapter 856: The Seventh Demon King Chapter 868: Chapter 856: The Seventh Demon King “Prince Muria!” Seeing the sudden appearance of a Space Rift, and the black-haired young man with golden pupils emerging from it, Solon didn’t bother to observe the Law any further and quickly bowed his head to greet Muria.
“Hmm!” Muria, having torn through space to arrive, heard these legends who had come to observe the Light of Law greet him, slightly nodded in response.
He also noticed the human legend Solon, who was markedly conspicuous among these figures. However, Muria didn’t pay him too much attention. When Solon had brought his own Pirate Fleet to join him, Muria was quite surprised by his current achievements and identity.
Firstly, Muria hadn’t expected that a thoughtless act of his from years ago could create a human legend; secondly, Muria hadn’t expected that this sister-obsessed man would actually stray off course to become a pirate, and even make a bit of a name for himself.
Initially, Muria’s first reaction to a pirate’s allegiance was to refuse, but Solon insisted he was different from other pirates, having committed no atrocities or wanton slaughter. This prevented Muria from rejecting him outright.
Of course, Muria was not deceived by appearances. He still sent someone to investigate the Ionian Subcontinent, subsequently discovering that this Pirate King, Solon, was less a pirate and more a keeper of the sea’s order.
It was for this reason that Muria allowed him and his band of pirates to become part of Xena Pus’s irregular legion. Beyond this, Muria provided no special attention to him.
Since Muria owed Solon nothing extra, everything Solon had achieved was still a gift from him, so whatever Solon wanted to gain from within Xena Pus, he had to work for it.
After scanning the legends under his command, Muria turned his gaze to the spectacle of the World Law revealing itself before him, islands swiftly covered by lush forests, an expression of the World Law assimilating these foreign laws.
“Cassio, the World Law I’m seeing now, can you tell me what caused this?”
This was a habit Muria had developed. Whenever he encountered something he couldn’t understand, he would directly ask his spirit, Cassio. Connected to the vast database of the Titan Tribe, Cassio could be considered almost omniscient, at least to Muria at this moment.
“Your Majesty! This phenomenon is caused by the Divine Offering of an Epic Being’s Remnants. You should currently be standing at the sacrifice site of a deity!” Cassio quickly concluded based on Muria’s description and the current events, and informed Muria.
“Divine Offering?” Muria was slightly taken aback.
“Master, not long ago, just beyond the World Barrier, an epic battle erupted. Judging by the emanated fluctuations, among the combatants, one side was the deities of this world, and the other, the Evil Gods of the Demon Race that our Epic Titans have battled. The deities emerged victorious from this war.”
Cassio revealed important intelligence to Muria, who obtained information from outside the Void for the first time since leaving the Titan Islands with his grandmother.
“Based on previous cases, parts of the Epic’s fallen body remain, which the deities sacrifice to the world…” Cassio imparted knowledge that Muria was previously unaware of.
“I see!” Muria nodded, and after a brief thought, he understood the reason. Every Epic being merges with a great deal of source power, and their bodies, left behind after death, are rare food for the world.
The process of the world absorbing the remnants of an Epic being presented an invaluable opportunity for a legend like Muria who had not yet ascended to the Epic Realm.
“To have missed such an opportunity, what a pity indeed!” Muria watched the nearly completed transformation of the sea island and couldn’t help but show a tinge of regret in his eyes.
Such a straightforward chance to observe the World Rules was rare, and throughout his four hundred years of life, he had only witnessed it once on the Nocchio Subcontinent. However, due to his low power at that time, although he saw the nearly materialized Light of Law, he didn’t gain much from it.
“Your Majesty, if you regret missing the process of the world assimilating the Epic Remnants while revealing the Light of the World Rules, you need not feel so.
What you are witnessing now is just the world digesting less than a tenth of the Evil God’s body to form this spectacle, which is nothing to speak of. So far, our Epic Titans have slain exotic Evil Gods and obtained over ten sets of Epic Remnants. If you wish to witness it, you can apply in advance to the clan, and then you can see the world digest a complete Epic body and reveal the World Rules.”
“…” Hearing the legendary news from Cassio, Muria fell into silence, at a loss for words to express his current emotions.
He thought he had missed a once-in-a-millennium opportunity, but Cassio now told him that, to ordinary people, it indeed was such, but for him, it was available whenever he wished.
“Then… I’d like to witness the process of the world merging with a complete set of Epic Remnants now, would that be possible?” Muria tentatively asked Cassio.
“Not now, Your Majesty. All the Epics are engaged in frontline battles. You cannot witness this process at the moment. You’ll have to wait until the war is over to see it!”
“I see! Well, that’s okay.” Muria nodded, showing no signs of regret, he was just trying his luck with the question, “Do you know when this war might end?”
“This cannot be predicted for now!”
“Then, are our Epic Titans—no, is the epic of our Erathia World prevailing on the battlefield?” Prince Muria asked the question that concerned him most thus far.
“Yes, Prince Muria! Our side’s Epics are gaining the upper hand. So far, every Epic from our clan who has entered the fray has downed at least one Evil God on average!”
A voice tinged with pride echoed in Muria’s mind. Cassio, with its own emotions and wisdom, already considered itself a member of the Titan Tribe.
“That’s great! That’s really great!” Upon hearing the intelligence regarding the state of the war beyond the Void, a radiant smile couldn’t help but appear on Muria’s face. The Legends beside him were somewhat puzzled, not understanding why Muria was suddenly so happy.
…
Within the distant and unknown Community of Worlds, beings whose mere existence caused ripples in the fabric of space and time were gathering, exchanging information with each other.
“Jin Li, Ghost Blade, Mo Yuan… To have so many Demon Lords die within less than thirty cycles of day and night since the war began is disquieting!”
“There’s no helping it; the Epic Races we’re at war with this time are just too formidable!”
“I fought them once. Never have I seen Deities with such mighty battle prowess!” a somewhat feeble voice interjected into the discussion, “These Deities, it’s as if they were born to fight, engaged in battle from their first breath. Their combat power is the strongest I have ever witnessed.”
“I don’t know how strong they really are, but I do know that we have lost over twenty Demon Lords already. And if you include those imprisoned wastes, our losses in this war have already exceeded acceptable limits. We must make a change.”
“Change? What change? Surrender? Or continue sending Demon Lords?”
“Surrender? Are you joking? I admit those self-proclaimed Titans are mighty in battle, but they have a fatal flaw that cannot be remedied—their numbers are just too few.”
“If we can’t defeat them one-on-one, then we’ll send two, if two are not enough then three, and if that still fails, then ten will fight together—I don’t believe we can’t kill them that way!”
“Cough, Ghost Hell Demon Lord, I must remind you, although the Titan Deities are few, our Demon Race doesn’t have ten times the number of Demon Lords compared to them!”
“Then what do you suggest we do?”
“Prepare to awaken the Demon King! If we continue to fight and alarm the Demon King with the death of too many of our kin, none of us will fare well. It’s better for us to take the initiative now to wake the Demon King and end this war.”
“Then, which Demon King shall we awaken?”
“Just wake the Seventh Demon King. Those Titan Deities, no matter how strong, have not reached the realm of the Demon King!”
Having decided how to deal with the war against the three Epic Races of the Erathia World Community, the group arrived at a Void Vortex.
This was a massive spectacle of the Void, emanating a colossal pulling force that, unbeknownst to them, attracted the surrounding worlds to draw closer irresistibly. One could see that within this vast Void Vortex, hundreds of worlds were submerged, rotating around the central Black Hole with the Vortex’s gravitational pull.
“Mighty Demon King!”
“Mighty Demon King!”
…After the Demon Lords arrived around the Void Vortex, they began calling out to the being slumbering at the core of the Vortex. However, at the start, the Vortex was still; no sound emerged, and the lofty Demon Lords appeared like a bunch of fools.
“Hmm?” But as the Demon Lords persisted tirelessly in their calling, the spinning Void Vortex finally responded, a majestic and powerful voice emanating from the center of the Vortex. As soon as this voice emerged, the pulling force of the Vortex began to visibly decline.
Then, the worlds rotating around the Vortex, propelled by inertia, were flung outwards. Some fortunate worlds were cast away far and wide, while the unlucky ones, following the Vortex’s cessation, collided directly with one another.
