King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 866 - 866 854 Humans Have Limits

Chapter 866: Chapter 854 Humans Have Limits! Chapter 866: Chapter 854 Humans Have Limits! “Why? Even though our powers are almost equal, how can you crush me so effortlessly every time?”

That was the unanswered question plaguing the Giant Ape Demon Lord, the most unbearable and frustrating aspect for him. In his perception, he was indeed on the same level as this deity, yet the gap between him and the deity was terrifyingly wide; he had absolutely no power to fight back.

“You, nothing more than trash that simply accumulates power, think to contend with me?” Hearing the enraged roar of this exotic epic, Hades couldn’t help but let out a contemptuous laugh.

Boom—

And then he punched the Demon Lord attempting to escape, shattering him once again.

“Lord Hades, allow me to assist you!” A somewhat sinister voice rang out from the side, followed by an invisible presence that began to pounce towards the Demon Ape as it reconstituted its shattered body.

“Get lost!” Annoyed by the voice, Hades drew his Battle Sword from his waist, sliced through the air, thinking whoever dared to snatch his peach must be tired of living.

A dazzling black Sword Qi swept across the Void, transforming into a Sword Qi storm in mere moments, engulfing the Void, followed by agonized screams echoing through it.

As a deity in charge of godly assassinations, even Hades found it difficult to discern Shirek’s whereabouts. However, it was not important to see him clearly; he only needed to know the deity was there. After all, as a god fond of assassination, how strong could his defense be? Any random sword strike would do.

“Hades, do you intend to hog this exotic epic for yourself?” Shirek, wounded by the slash, his godly form tattered and leaking golden blood, shouted angrily, “Aren’t you afraid of provoking the wrath of the gods?”

“The wrath of the gods?” Upon hearing these words, Hades, who was about to continue dealing with the Giant Ape Demon Lord, glanced at Shirek and then at the other gods, “Which gods?”

Even the deities glanced over by Hades silently took a small step back, signaling they had no intention of clashing with him— even those deities with powerful divine forces sidestepped Hades’ gaze. After all, this was a formidable deity who had slain three Epics and ascended to the position of a god.

“This is my prey, who dares to anger me?” Hades asked again, his gaze sweeping over gods of fear and tyranny. These fearsome deities also avoided his gaze, not wanting to conflict with the Hades.

After all, this newly ascended Hades was not only incredibly powerful, but he also had a complicated relationship with the Epic Titans. According to some unreliable information, it was said that after he became the Hades, some Epic Titans visited him in the Underworld he had evolved.

With such overwhelming strength and a powerful network of relationships, it was enough for any clear-headed deity to give serious thought.

“Idiot!” The gazes of a few deities swept over Shirek, who stood to the side with a face full of anger yet dared not speak out, conjuring up an assessment.

Desperately trying to claim a share of this fierce deity’s spoils without any justifiable reason, if not foolish, then what?

“This is your prey, no god will dispute it with you,” said Dawn God Lorshanda, looking straight back at Hades when his gaze fell upon him. Although Hades was indeed very powerful, he didn’t yet warrant Lorshanda stepping back, nor would he bow even to the greatest divine powers. However, being just in nature, he acknowledged Hades’ right to control the exotic Demon Lord.

“You deities dare to insult me like this! Wait and see, destruction and doom will sooner or later descend upon your heads!” The Demon Lord, regarded as mere prey by these gods, was beside himself with rage—an intolerable humiliation for him.

Only weaklings babble on and on—strong ones speak with their fists! This was one of the tenets Hades lived by. Hearing the threat from the Demon Lord, he unceasingly crushed him again; such words, he had heard hundreds, if not a thousand times while wandering the Void.

“Suit yourselves!” After discovering the uncanny resilience of this Demon Lord, Hades finally stopped pounding him and, instead, took action to seal him; he planned to take the Demon Lord back for thorough research on how to utilize him.

Thus, after dropping that line, Hades took the epic prey and rode the Hades’ War Chariot back to his Divine Kingdom of the Underworld.

“Truly powerful!” Witnessing the Hades’ grand display of demon slaying without making a move, many deities were deeply shaken by his imposing manner; some deities began to contemplate whether to pledge themselves to him, hearing that Hades had no subordinate gods to serve him yet.

“Alright, everyone come together to divide the world and prepare for the sacrifice!”

Hum—

When the melodious Dragon Chant sounded, causing the entire Pirate Fleet to panic, the impending tsunami immediately collapsed, breaking into waves that merged back into the sea, calming the tumultuous sea into serene stillness.

“It’s the Sea God, the Sea God saved us!”

“Great Dragon God, I offer my body and soul to you, please grant us your protection!” Some pirates, overwhelmed by the Sea Emperor Dragon’s display of might, saw it as a divine miracle and began to worship.

This is also a necessary step that most Legendary Ascensions must experience, showing mortals a force they perceive as insurmountable and unattainable, thereby gaining faith.

“This tsunami wasn’t caused by the Sea God. There must be another reason. If the Sea God truly wanted to destroy us, he wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of saving us,”

The Sea Emperor Dragon took action to appease the marine disaster, allowing the Pirate Fleet to settle down, no longer panicked and anxious. If it were merely a natural disaster, they wouldn’t be afraid; they were pirates, used to braving storms spawned by nature itself.

“If the tsunami wasn’t triggered by the Sea God, then what was the cause of this tsunami?” Solon, the commander on the flagship, looked at the calmed sea, with a pondering look in his eyes.

But before he could figure it out, another white line appeared at the distant horizon, where the sea met the sky, its scale surpassing the previous wave beyond comparison.

“Another tsunami?” Seeing the rapidly approaching waves reaching over fifty meters high, even Solon’s face couldn’t help but show a hint of astonishment.

He had estimated the scale of the tsunami and knew that with his strength, if he exerted full force, he could barely keep his fleet safe once.

If it were like now, wave after wave relentlessly coming, then his fleet could basically be declared finished. Human strength cannot contend with the force of nature, at least that was the case for him.

Though already legendary, he had not exceeded the boundaries of humanity. He could temporarily withstand the force of nature, but he lacked the power to sustain such resistance for long.

Fortunately, another long, resonating Dragon Chant came from afar, and the ferocious tsunami collapsed once more, dissipating into nothing.

“Commander Solon, we have just received orders from Xena Pus. The Sea Monitoring and Early Warning Department has detected disturbances in our sea area and has commanded you to personally investigate the cause of this peculiar tsunami,”

“What’s there to investigate? Isn’t it just a submarine earthquake that provoked it? What else is there to look into?”

“Are you stupid? How could a submarine earthquake trigger such a massive tsunami? And it’s not just one wave!”

“Stop arguing, it’s just an investigation, not a battle!” Seeing his subordinates quarrelling incessantly over the orders from Xena Pus, Solon felt a headache coming on.

He knew that his subordinates were not well-regarded within Xena Pus, where pirates were generally regarded as laborers, and the disposable kind at that.

Now, because of him, the pirates had barely obtained a combat arrangement, but from various orders from Xena Pus, it was clear that they were treating his pirate subordinates as cannon fodder.

That’s why there were so many complaints within his ranks, but despite the numerous grievances, there weren’t many suggestions to leave, as many pirates saw a future for their children in Xena Pus.

Not many pirates wished for their children to inherit their profession. They hoped their children could live a safe and free life, a brighter future surely being better, and these, Xena Pus could offer to their offspring.

For the future of their progeny, these pirates could endure a lot… the discrimination from the Eternal Life Beings of Xena Pus, the unfair treatment in commands, being used as cannon fodder.

These issues, witnessed by Solon, a human legend yet not taken seriously, weighed heavily on his heart, but he had no better solution and could only silently endure them.

“Humans have limits!” Solon remembered the scenes of interacting with other legendary beings upon entering Xena Pus and couldn’t help but sigh. Pure-blooded humans, compared to those with special bloodlines, faced a chasm that even techniques couldn’t bridge.

“How sad it is, for a deity to be toyed with like this!” Prince Mureya couldn’t help but feel sympathy as he watched the Evil God’s Avatar imprisoned in this area by the Land Emperor Turtle, unable to retrieve either consciousness or divine power, being pummeled in turns by one Titan after another.

It was truly pitiable! The portion of divine power the deity had sent down was relentlessly drained by the Titans, its avatar beaten into a pulp by one after another.

“Prince Mureya, 156 miles southwest of Xena Pus, an unidentified object fell from the sky, causing a great tsunami!”

Just as the battle was drawing to a close, Mureya suddenly received this report, though it didn’t catch his attention much.

After all, it was just a tsunami. In his understanding, there were many things that could trigger tsunamis. For instance, he himself could cause a massive tsunami if he so desired.

“Your Highness, I think you need to come back and see this. An archipelago is rapidly forming less than a hundred kilometers from Xena Pus!”

As Mureya remained uninterested, even preparing to converse and exchange techniques with the Epic Titans, a more urgent report reached his ears.
