King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 840 - 840 828 Fratricide
Chapter 840: Chapter 828: Fratricide Chapter 840: Chapter 828: Fratricide “We’ve only managed to cultivate seven so far, and their strength has just stepped into the realm of Legend,” replied Golden Dragon Mother truthfully when Muria inquired about the number of legendary battle beasts they’d bred.
This world was the same one that the Ancient Prison Master had saved. Since the Ancient Prison Master had acted, Muria, as his descendant, had the right to freely enter it without facing any malevolent suppression from the world’s rules.
Even though the Ancient Prison Master had saved this world, he did not place it under the World Dominion Palace’s management afterward but cast it aside. To the Ancient Prison Master, it didn’t hold much value.
Moreover, compared to a mere medium-sized world, the Ancient Prison Master’s attention was actually focused on the community of worlds abandoned by the former rulers,
Although those worlds had been nearly obliterated by the group of Evil Gods, the abundance of resources contained within them was not to be underestimated. And even if they were damaged, with careful management, they could still gradually recover. As for source power, one should not even think of extracting it from those worlds.
Describing that community of worlds, it was like a group of patients, fatally sick and with only a few days left to live. Hoping to extract the source power that determines their longevity and bestow it upon them was nothing but a fool’s dream.
Of course, all these had nothing to do with Muria. He had simply chosen this world, which the Shiyu Dominator might have already forgotten, as a temporary cultivation ground for his Subordinate Army. To be more precise, the true ruler of this world was now Golden Dragon Mother.
However, although Golden Dragon Mother controlled this world, the first batch of minions she fostered after managing this world turned out to be Muria’s.
“Just this many? The number is a bit low,” Muria frowned. He had heard that his Father’s legendary battle beasts had already exceeded ten.
“There’s no helping it, this world has already been seriously damaged, and the resources it can produce now are limited; being able to cultivate these is already good,” replied Golden Dragon Mother.
“Fine then, the basic three million battle beasts are already enough,” Muria said, his face showing a satisfied smile as he watched the neatly organized battle beast legion advancing towards them. He particularly liked the scene before him.
“Oh, that’s right, take all the battle beasts I’ve cultivated as well!” Golden Dragon Mother gestured with her hand, and the giant beasts shaped like dragon snakes that followed her immediately rushed down, circling around her. These battle beasts were few in number, but each one possessed strength above the Soul Intent Level.
They came in seven different types, corresponding to the Seven Main Attributes, and were capable of adapting to various harsh environments to combat in different settings.
“Isn’t that a bit inappropriate?” Muria felt a bit embarrassed looking at the pitifully cultivated thousand-plus minions by the Golden Dragon Mother, yet his heart felt warm.
“What’s inappropriate about it? Feel free to use them. I just need to keep a few for breeding seeds,” Golden Dragon Mother said bravely, as opposed to Muria’s hesitant attitude.
After figuring out how to rule this world, she used most of its resources to cultivate a battle beast army for her son, and a small portion to foster this small contingent of dragon snake army for herself. Now, she was prepared to let this small contingent she had nurtured join Muria on the battlefield.
“I’m your mother; there’s nothing for you to refuse about the things I give you. After you finish this war, just remember to share some of the spoils with me, as you are definitely going to win,” Golden Dragon Mother declared assuredly.
“I understand,” Muria agreed. Since Golden Dragon Mother insisted, he no longer had any reason to refuse. Although the dragon snake battle beasts were few, they represented high-end combat power within the Subordinate Army.
…
In the Coastal Area of the Senapus Subcontinent, a team gripping various rugged weapons departed from a dilapidated city towards the coast. This was a hunting party.
However, the composition of its members was a bit odd. Most were strong-bodied adults, but among them were a few youths who had just grown and an old man who walked with a faltering gait.
The air was filled with visible, murky qi. Even at a glance, one could tell that the air quality here was shockingly poor. Ordinary people could hardly survive for long in such conditions, but these hunters had grown accustomed to breathing this air from birth. Those who couldn’t adapt had already died at an early stage.
“Haha, Nick, you’re really generous, bringing your old man along. We’re definitely in for a good haul today,” laughed a burly man with arms like beast claws, eyeing the elder in the group excitedly.
“Of course, those monsters most enjoy feasting on humans, using blood to attract them is the most suitable method.” The mature man known as Nick replied, his face covered in fine black scales. The humans living on this continent almost all had dominant non-human characteristics, as normal humans couldn’t survive here.
“Tell me, Nick, have you completely emptied your old man’s brain? If you haven’t learned everything, don’t use him as bait; it’s such a waste.”
A burly man advised, but his words were quite horrifying. The old man prepared by this hunting group to be used as bait was actually one of the hunter’s father.
“Don’t worry, I’ve already learned everything that was in his head long ago. I even drugged the old fellow quite a bit to coax those things out of him.”
Nick looked at his own father by blood, and there wasn’t a trace of the normal feelings a son should have for his father in his eyes, just an icy coldness as if he were looking at a stranger who had nothing to do with him.
“Nick, have you really learned all the skills I had?” Already knowing that he would be used as bait to lure the sea beasts, the drooling old man cackled strangely, looking at his son. His mind was clearly somewhat muddled.
“Smack!” A whip, covered with thorns, viciously struck the old man’s body, causing him to stumble and leaving a centipede-like trail of blood, “Cut the crap, you old man, I’m already as strong as you were back in the day.”
“That’s right, you’re as strong as when I was in my prime, and I’m already old. If I had known it would come to this, I shouldn’t have hesitated back then and just killed you.”
The old man, whose face twitched with pain from the whip, was also speaking emotionlessly, as he faced imminent death, regretting not killing his own son in time to prevent him from becoming a threat.
“Regretting is useless now. Letting the Demon Shark swallow you whole is my last act of mercy toward you. You should feel grateful.” Nick said coldly, his bare body covered with dense, centipede-like scars—the mementos of his father’s lashings from his youth.
This was the relationship between people on the Senapus Continent, even between father and son, where there existed only the purest form of utilitarian relationships. If one was useful, they could survive; if not, they would be killed, lacking any normal father-son kinship.
Soon, this hunting party boarded a ramshackle ship amidst sporadic conversation and set sail.
Quickly, once the ship reached a certain sea area, the man named Nick personally administered a potent poison to his father. This wasn’t to kill him—such was unnecessary wastefulness—but rather it was a poison prepared for the Demon Shark.
Quickly, an inhumane scene unfolded on the ship. Nick impaled a huge hook harshly into his father’s chest and then cast him into the sea below.
Blood diffused in the polluted water and soon attracted a school of bloodthirsty sea beasts. After a struggle, the strongest Demon Shark swallowed the old man whole. The hook hidden in the man’s chest pierced into the beast’s lower jaw.
Then the potent poison earlier injected into the old man started to spread inside the Demon Shark. The intense agony caused the gigantic shark to thresh violently, plunging into madness. It then locked its gaze onto the hunting ship above the surface and charged at it like an arrow…
As the Demon Shark burst through the water and stormed the hunting ship, a brutal battle ensued. The hunting team finally managed to kill the monster that ventured out of the water, but not without paying a steep cost.
“Shadow, bring me the healing potion, and be quick!” A man, missing an arm and half his chest with his exposed black and red innards, lay on the shattered deck, weakly roaring at a young man.
“Father, with such injuries, even if you survive, what use could you be?” The timid young man who had always been submissive to his father now displayed not a trace of his former cowardice but rather a ruthless demeanor.
“You dare? Without my protection, do you think you can live?”
“I’ve already said, with your injuries, even if you survive, you are of no use.” Shadow pulled out a dagger, slowly advancing towards his father,
“You’ll at best become a food-consuming, dung-producing machine, but I have no intention of providing for you. I’ve nearly learned all of your skills already.”
“No!” A roar filled with anger, unwillingness, and resentment erupted across the sea area, as the young man slit his father’s throat with his dagger.
