King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 795 - 795 784 Working for Dad
Chapter 795: Chapter 784: Working for Dad Chapter 795: Chapter 784: Working for Dad Whoosh!
In the sky, a giant white-feathered eagle with golden pupils appeared. Upon seeing Muria, it quickly descended, finally settling gently on Muria’s shoulder. It chirped crisply at Muria, who nodded knowingly from atop a ferocious beast resembling a Tyrannosaurus. Muria then issued orders in the Titan Language to the highly intelligent beast beneath him.
The Violent Dragon Beast receiving Muria’s command raised its head in an excited roar. The surrounding trees rustled with the sound of their mighty friction, and even beneath the earth, faint sounds of movement could be heard. From within emerged beasts similar to the Tyrannosaurus beneath Muria, though smaller in size.
“Let the hunt begin!”
Muria rode on the back of the alpha Violent Dragon Beast, leading hundreds of other Violent Dragon Beasts toward the prey spotted by the white feathered giant eagles above.
After crossing mountains and rivers, at the edge of a shimmering grand lake, Muria found a herd of beasts that seemed to have encountered trouble while seeking water.
They were enormous wild beasts, resembling a mix of rhinos and wild cows. They stood seven to eight meters tall at their back, with the most superior individuals reaching heights of nine or ten meters. Unquestionably, the size of these giant beasts qualified them as food for the Battle Beast herd; hence they had attracted the attention of the White Feather Giant Eagle.
The already distressed herd was thrown into further chaos upon realizing a predator was approaching. The herd leader let out an urgent call, trying to prompt its kin to retreat quickly.
However, hearing their leader’s call, the herbivorous beasts felt helpless. It wasn’t like they could just run away now. The White Feather Giant Eagles were preventing them from escaping by attacking them relentlessly from the sky.
Once the formation of the herd was disrupted, their young ones became exposed to the skies. Just now, during their failed escape attempt, more than a dozen young beasts had been snatched away by these despised giant eagles and had never returned to the earth. Only a few drops of blood had trickled down from the sky.
“Perfect!”
Above the nearly thousand-strong beast herd, Muria observed hundreds of predatory birds circling, similar to the white-feathered lead eagle. Occasionally, an eagle would swoop down, causing the startled giant beasts to emit terrified cries. The eagles kept the beast herd engaged, preventing them from escaping.
“Let the hunt begin! But remember, we only hunt the adult and aged beasts. Do not kill the female or young beasts.”
Under Muria’s order, the Violent Dragon Beasts charged forward like mad. Some drool dropped onto the ground due to their swift strides and intense hunger. They were always hungry due to their rapid growth and digestive rates, and the hunger only intensified these battle-bred beasts’ combat power.
When the Violent Dragon Beasts rushed into the herd of herbivores, the ground beneath them swelled, producing earthen mounds. From these, armor-scaled Battle Beasts, the colour of soiled yellow, emerged, curled into balls, and stormed through the herd.
They were similar to the pangolin but far from peaceful. Born naturally as slaughter weapons, each edge of their scales was extremely sharp. When they coiled into a ball, they resembled a sphere made up of countless blades.
This was just one of their methods of attack. They could also stretch out their bodies since their limbs also harbored sharp claws, and their heads bore crushing horns, useful for both burrowing into the earth and attacking.
As these two types of Battle Beasts began to slaughter, the White Feather Giant Eagles in the sky descended to join the blood-soaked feast.
Blooms of blood splattered around the edge of the lake. The large herbivorous beasts, on par in size with the Violent Dragon Beasts, stood no chance against these born killers. Their thick skin could not withstand the single horn atop the Battle Beasts’ heads, claws, and the tail blade of the Violent Dragon Beasts. Also, the crushing horn of the burrowing dragon beasts and the claws of the White Feather Giant Eagles sliced through them easily.
…The bloody battle erupted and ended quickly. The migrating herd by the river was soon decimated by the Battle Beasts, leaving only the female and young beasts that Muria had ordered to be spared.
“Let them go!”
At Muria’s command, the Battle Beasts, despite the greed in their eyes and their reluctance, obediently cleared a path. In their minds, their master’s command was paramount.
In the end, the beast herd, reduced to only a tenth of its original size, fled frantically after a few tentative attempts.
Only a few males remain in these beast groups, which essentially guarantees that the bloodline of these groups won’t become extinct. Of course, with only a handful of males, the safety of these groups cannot be guaranteed. However, it doesn’t matter; the carnivorous beasts in this area have almost been completely wiped out by Muria and her battle beasts, leaving only a few females and cubs, maintaining a most vulnerable balance.
After all, she came to conquer, not to destroy. Even with a great craving for flesh, Muria would let these battle beasts leave seeds that would allow the creatures to continue to reproduce.
“Once these guys finish eating, we’ll have to move to another place, or else the ecosystem of this area will collapse,” Muria thought, watching the battle beasts eat. Because of bloodline limitations, three completely different kinds of battle beasts can peacefully eat together.
“Now I have three different types of battle beasts.” Seeing under her command, she had only just over three hundred battle beasts, a smile appeared on Muria’s face, and a sense of inexplicable satisfaction and accomplishment welled up in her heart.
At the request of the Golden Dragon Mother, Muria didn’t have to wait long. Her father, Ansol, directly allocated some of the first batch of newly hatched battle beasts for Muria to raise.
However, since this was the first batch of battle beasts that had completed the process of acknowledging their master, their real master could only be Ansol. Thus, Muria could command them but didn’t own them; her so-called breeding was just raising them for her father.
But, as a recompense for the breeding, when these battle beasts mature and reproduce, all the eggs they lay would belong to Muria. Upon hearing this relatively fair deal, she immediately agreed.
Then came this scene: Muria took these three beast groups for hunting throughout this primitive world, accelerated their growth by devouring a large amount of meat, and obtained their eggs in the fastest way possible.
Her father Ansol’s assigned world was not the same as hers. Although there were many intelligent creatures in this world comparable to humans, their lifestyle did not produce a civilization.
This world was always in a state of division, and no powerful creature ever emerged that could rule over everything. There were only various beast kings who ruled their territories.
So when Ansol descended on this world and started a killing spree, it didn’t attract much attention from powerful creatures. Thus, Muria could now roam freely.
In addition, Ansol, different from the average Titan, came to this world with a method of conquest that supplemented his killing spree.
Because of the existence of Akmonde, master of the wilderness, Ansol had another option. He could get the flesh by slaughtering and then cultivate those battle beast eggs, and then rely on them to conquer the entire world.
Of course, Ansol, who likes to battle but not to slaughter, did not choose this path of slaughter. He still opted to prioritize conquest supplemented by slaughter.
Also, due to these battle beasts, many times, the object that Ansol chose to subjugate was generally based on his liking. If he liked them, he would subjugate them, if not, he would slaughter them and feed them to the battle beasts under him.
Like that eight-headed giant snake, Ansol was originally planning to slaughter it because he didn’t like the stench on it. However, at the suggestion of Muria, Ansol spared the snake.
Because Muria suggested that the legendary giant snake with strong recovery power could be treated as a continuous meat production machine capable of producing high-energy food. After all, a creature of the giant snake’s level could be satiated no matter what it ate, right?
At that time, when Muria made this suggestion, Ansol stared at her for a long time, then said nothing, and executed the plan. A fate worse than death was to turn this snake into a meat-producing machine following Muria’s advice.
…
“It feels like I’m working for my dad.” Muria, who had once again successfully accomplished a perfect hunting mission with her group of battle beasts without any losses, sighed. After all, she would have to honestly return these battle beasts after they’ve grown up to her father.
And as a reward for her hard work raising these battle beasts, she could get the eggs that these battle beasts lay. Wasn’t it just like working for her father?
“The fourth kind!” After sighing for a moment, Muria looked at her beast group. At this moment, her beast group had an additional type of battle beast, the one that her dad had just sent over through the Void Battleship.
This kind of battle beast is similar to a giant ape and it’s more of a defensive type. Compared to slaughter, it places more emphasis on defense. It has four arms, and giant bone plates grow on those arms. When its four arms close together, it forms a huge shield that can perfectly cover its body…
