Chapter 1400 - 1400 1368 Powerful Divine Forces
Chapter 1400: Chapter 1368: Powerful Divine Forces Chapter 1400: Chapter 1368: Powerful Divine Forces “You really do need my help.”
Facing the thousands of Gales, Muria was not concerned, she raised her hand and with a light tap, her gray Domain began from her fingertips, instantly enveloping the entire Sky Dome.
In that very moment, time stopped, all things lost their color, turning into a lifeless gray, then, each wind that could easily carve open an Abyss on the earth completely collapsed, turning into turbulent Qi disrupting all directions.
Even the Elven King of Wind’s body trembled, with several bursts of cyan Divine Light exploding on him, like several dazzling blooms of Divine Light.
“You need me to teach you how to maintain the due respect when facing an existence more powerful than yourself!”
“Death God Power? How is that possible?”
Maintaining his shaky form, the Elven King of Wind looked at Muria with an incredulous expression.
It didn’t surprise him that Muria had ascended to Powerful Divine Force before him; lately, her foundation had indeed been deeper than his, and coupled with Muria’s lazy excuse to blatantly invade his Domain, he wasn’t too angry.
Because if he had ascended before Muria, he reckoned he would have done something similar. Anyone who wasn’t a fool could see that this was a rare era for a great struggle.
The foundation accumulated during this chaotic period would determine the position each Deity would have once the order was established. Therefore, it was perfectly normal to shamelessly plunder the Faith Resources of other Deities.
What truly angered him was himself, for being so weak that he had missed this crucial step, leading to becoming a target for other Deities to plunder.
“What’s so surprising about that?”
“How could you possibly wield such a profession? What exactly did you do?” The Elven King of Wind could hardly believe it. Such a powerful Supreme Divine Position was usually held in the hands of the oldest Deities; for newcomers like them to even get close was impressive enough.
Originally, Muria’s revelation of both sun and Death Power, although stunning to the Gods, faded into insignificance afterward, because all the Deities saw that the Divine Position in Muria’s hands was really too minor, barely touching upon the edges.
But now everything was different. A newly emerged Deity who had used Death Power as a means to ambush an ancient being was now using Death Power as her main form of attack, judging by the way she was squandering it, Death might have already become her main Divine Position.
What did this mean? The Elven King of Wind was very clear; it meant too much. It meant that she could sit on equal terms with the oldest group of Deities, it meant having the qualifications to wield that huge knife that could divide the world. More importantly, it meant that a Deity he once aspired to could now only be dreamt of from afar.
Such a significant disparity, even for a Deity, was hard to accept calmly. The Elven King of Wind admitted, he was jealous. Supreme Divine Position, ah, how much sweeter it was than an Elemental Divine Position. Although Wind was powerful, there was still a very clear gap from the Supreme Divine Position.
“Before you express your doubts to me, shouldn’t you adjust your current attitude?”
Muria stared at the Elven King of Wind. Since he had already become a Deity, he should abide by the order among Deities, respecting rank based on strength.
“…” The Elven King of Wind fell silent, regained his composure, and then tentatively asked, “Newly ascended master of death, what do you want?”
“Hmm, not bad.” Seeing the Elven King of Wind instantly erase the hostility from his persona, taking on a somewhat humble stance, a look of approval appeared on Muria’s face. She liked Deities that could bend or stand as necessary; it saved her a lot of trouble.
Even if such Deities were brought under her command, there was no loyalty to speak of, but Muria didn’t care. In her vision of the future, any Deity who joined her ranks, even if they were just average, would have no chance to regret or switch allegiance.
“Don’t you think my force is a little too weak for the power I now possess?” Muria hinted at something close to a direct suggestion.
“Why me?” The Elven King of Wind asked somewhat helplessly. This new Powerful Divine Force was very clear; she had taken a fancy to him and wanted to subdue him as her Subordinate God.
If he were a weak or minor Divine Power, he should feel lucky. But he was an Intermediate Divine Strength, one who, in the near future, had a chance to rise to Powerful Divine Force.
Even if the Divine Position he controlled wasn’t a Supreme Divine Position, it still wasn’t bad. He could certainly fend for himself at a minimum. Of course, with his current strength, self-preservation didn’t seem to be a big problem either.
“Because I find you quite pleasing to the eye, your Elemental Body aligns well with my aesthetics,” Muria replied with an answer that could hardly be considered one.
“Is that all?”
“What else? Although I also possess a part of the Wind God’s Profession, I think killing you to plunder your Divine Position would be a waste. It would be better to bring you under my command.”
A threat, an unmistakable threat. Her words were clear—if he dared reject the offer, his fate would be destruction. What wasn’t obtainable had to be destroyed.
