Chapter 1399: Chapter 1367: I Think You Need Help_2 Chapter 1399: Chapter 1367: I Think You Need Help_2 “This is the construction legion under my command, whose combat capability is relatively weak among my legions.”

“…” Toran really didn’t know what to say, as he looked at the entity across from him. It seemed there was no intention of boasting about his legion, yet these plain and matter-of-fact words shook him greatly.

“But this is the strongest legion I have ever seen in my life.”

Not silent for too long, Toran chose to express his most genuine thoughts from the bottom of his heart. Such thoughts would definitely not infuriate the other party, for they were words of absolute flattery.

Indeed, he had never seen a legion with such exaggerated average strength and such luxurious equipment. Each member, an armored giant with an average height of about 20 meters, was armed to the teeth.

Such a legion, if he did not intervene, could flatten the domain he ruled without any trouble and would not need to pay too high a price.

It is quite distressing for a god to admit this, but not only he, perhaps not even the main god under his command, could find a legion that could compare to it. Yet such a mighty legion, in the eyes of the other, was just a construction legion. That was indeed infuriating.

“Just this is the strongest in your eyes? Then your vision is truly too narrow. Someday, I will have the opportunity to take you to broaden your horizons.”

Muria said so in a very self-assured manner, without caring about what the other party would think or understand from his words.

“My lord, please give your command!”

While Toran’s thoughts drifted because of Muria’s words, three Legendary Mountain Giants approached Muria, ignoring the less conspicuous divine being beside them, and respectfully asked for instructions.

This was an extremely annoying scene for the deity, being a world manager exalted above all things, yet to be overlooked by mere mortal things. But even with so much discontent, he had to hold it in at this moment.

“Go assist this lord in cleaning up the monsters that threaten civilization in this domain, and then restore the ruins caused by the destruction of battle.”

“As you command!”

Accepting this seemingly benevolent order, the hundred-thousand-strong giant legion passed by in front of the deity Toran, with the roar of the earth, rendering the dignity of the deity completely nonexistent.

“Let’s leave it at that for now. You’ve seen it; this Ancient Giant Beast is just a crippled body, and there are several other remnants that have spread to other domains. I still need to go and seal it to prevent excessive destruction.”

“You are truly kind-hearted, my lord.”

Toran, against his conscience, spoke nonsense he didn’t even believe, while trembling in his soul, because the being in front of him seemed even colder than he imagined, not just his domain was being targeted.

“How great it would be if such a powerful, yet thick-skinned and black-hearted existence, belonged to my main god!”

After Muria had left, the Hunting and Guarding God, having retracted his avatar, murmured to himself within his Divine Kingdom.

The reason for his suddenly disloyal thoughts was not because of his own wild imagination but because of Muria’s offhand remark not long ago: I will take you to broaden your horizons.

It was this very statement that set Toran’s mind wandering; if one dives deep into its understanding, it really is enough to make a god’s heart flutter.

As a deity, binding oneself with mortal loyalties is rather laughable. Every alliance of divine systems is formed, not out of any kindred spirit, but purely for profit.

So when a being clearly more powerful than his own main god appeared, revealing a hint that seemed to be angling to steal him away, it’s no wonder this weaker deity entertained some thoughts.

In times when one cannot ensure they’re a pillar unto themselves and need to seek a powerful backer, who wouldn’t want the strongest one?

“Would that being be willing to accept my allegiance?”

Like a teenage boy interacting directly with a girl he’s fond of, a deity who had existed for ten thousand years and witnessed the rise and fall of countless nations also fell into a state of anxiety and uncertainty.

After careful consideration, Toran decided to take a cautious approach, watching and waiting.

“If that being really intends to subdue me, there should be more actions in the future. Once their attitude is clear, I won’t suffer by joining them. But if I blindly pledge loyalty now, I might appear too eager and be looked down upon by that existence.”

Having determined his path forward, the deity of hunting and protection could only continue to do what he was capable of at present—seeking assistance from his current principal deity and reporting the scene unfolding in the domain he ruled.

“A powerful divine force with a Divine Wheel spinning behind it? Divine Wheel? Muria, wasn’t he just of intermediate divine strength? He has advanced so quickly? The Mountain Giant Legion? Assisting with reconstruction? Hmph!”

The deity who harnessed the Furious Wind gazed at the Giant Beast that could be reached with a simple lift of his hand and launched into the depths of the clouds, letting out a cold snort as the Gale surrounding him grew even more violent.

“So that’s how it is!”

Having received a report from his Subordinate God, the king of the Wind Elves understood everything: the origin of the Monster rampaging in his directly governed domain, why his limbs were maimed and unable to heal, and what the being behind it all wanted to do.

Having realized Muria’s barely concealed scheme, the Wind Elf king increased the strength of his efforts. His Subordinate God’s domain had been invaded, and he needed to deal with it quickly, or it would soon be his turn.

Even as the controller of the winds and soon to be an Intermediate Divine Being who no longer had to hide his strength, he could not resolve the incomplete power of the Giant Beast before him before a presence he didn’t want to encounter appeared.

“I’m truly sorry, King of the Wind Elves, for my fault that you’ve been dragged into such a difficult fight.”

An apologetic voice echoed in the sky, filled with hurricanes, and not even the wild winds could mask the gentle nuance of that voice.

After this voice appeared, the Giant Serpent, which had been suppressed by the Elf king, entered a Berserk State, almost mad, an experience of being skinned and deboned it would never forget.

“Muria!”

The deity made purely from Elements shouted the name of the voice’s owner with a gritted anger, and that figure, which had once been quite dazzling among the congregation of Gods, appeared in the sky.

In the Sky Dome where the Furious Wind howled, silence fell as an invisible wave swept through, and within a radius of a thousand miles, most materials came to a complete standstill; even the furious Giant Serpent was forcibly pressed down onto the earth by an invisible force, unable to move.

“It seems you need help,” Muria said gently, ignoring the Giant Serpent that stared at him with extreme Hatred, and focusing on the Divine Being around him who still had winds flowing.

“Help? Ha, Muria, such a simple scheme, do you take us for fools?”

“Such matters are not important and don’t need much attention. After all, I just need an excuse that works for the outside world,” Muria replied carelessly, the smile disappearing from his face, “So, do you need my help?”

“I don’t need your help. Leave immediately. This is my territory.”

The heaven and earth, restrained by Muria’s arrival, began to flow with a gentle breeze, and the Elf King with a strong sense of territoriality was put on the spot.

“No, I think you do need my help.”

Ignoring the Wind Elf King’s anger, Muria stretched out his hand and gently grasped the Giant Serpent, now in an uncontrollable rage and growling, and sealed it back into the Fixed Star Beads once again.

“Get away!” Millions of Furious Winds, like White Dragons, swirled toward Muria, carrying the wrath of a deity.
