Chapter 1357 - 1357 1341 Serpents Spine
Chapter 1357: Chapter 1341 Serpent’s Spine Chapter 1357: Chapter 1341 Serpent’s Spine Mountains collapsed, the earth shattered, and vast rifts and abysses sprawled before the sight, casting a dreadful spectacle akin to the apocalypse itself. In the skies above, dark clouds stretched end to end; within the dense clouds, enormous thunders like dragon snakes shuttled back and forth.
However, among the nine beings present, not a single one was shocked by such a terrifying scene, for them, although it could not be considered a minor affair, it was only moderate at best.
Roar!!
Bellow after bellow of vigorous roars emitted from deep within the earth, and amidst the collapsing mountains, one could vaguely discern segment after segment of a massive serpent’s body writhing within.
“Giant Serpent, Giant Serpent, this one truly is colossal.”
As increasingly more of the serpent’s body became exposed beneath Muria’s feet, he couldn’t help but marvel. In all honesty, it was his first time seeing such a gigantic monster. He had already realized:
Thousands of miles of mountains and rivers were actually formed upon the Giant Serpent’s body. When the Giant Serpent was sealed and unable to move, as the years passed, dust and dirt gradually covered its body, thus forming these undulating majestic mountains.
And when the seal was lifted, the sand and soil on its body were shaken off by the awakening Giant Serpent, causing the mountains to crumble and the earth to crack.
Indeed, this was akin to a mortal getting out of bed and flipping off the blanket, but such a simple and ordinary action, when done by the Giant Serpent, resulted in a catastrophic scene like the sky shattering and the earth splitting. Such life, such form, how could it not be feared by the people, how could it not be hated?
“Such a monster must be one of the Ancient Giant Beasts from the dawn of the world! To be able to survive until now, truly remarkable, this could be considered a miracle in the Void,” remarked Muria sincerely, looking at the behemoth that was roughly estimated to be tens of thousands of meters long. Such a monster naturally could not exist in groups; it probably came into existence naturally and could be considered among the born spirits.
In some sense, the Giant Serpent with such a colossal body could also be regarded as a kind of Ancient God; however, unlike the true Ancient Gods, it lacked the wisdom to match its enormous body, possessing merely this huge form. In the eyes of real Ancient Gods, the Giant Serpent could only be viewed as a wild beast.
Elasia, too, once had such enormous Giant Beasts, but over the course of time, those who merely moved and caused landslides and floods, the avatars of natural disasters, all died out.
As intelligent species evolved in the world, there was no longer a place for such Giant Beasts. They either had to choose to venture into the Void like the Ancient Gods or wait to be slain by deities. In short, they could not stay.
Of course, it’s uncertain; it’s possible that somewhere in Elasia, a few Ancient Giant Beasts are still hidden, but they are essentially harmless now. This is something that, after the world develops to a certain extent, is inevitably abandoned.
And now, in a Different World, Muria saw a true Ancient Giant Beast. Putting aside everything else, the sheer size of the Giant Serpent gave Muria a tremendous visual impact, providing him with a much clearer concept of these Giant Beasts from the same era as the Ancient Gods.
Just as Muria was sighing in wonder, contemplating how powerful the now-extinct Ancient Gods of this great world might have been, a pitch-black abyssal giant mouth silently appeared beneath him, then swallowed toward where he stood.
“Alas, with such intelligence, it would be strange if it weren’t eliminated.”
Muria didn’t even glance at the abyssal giant mouth beneath his feet. The Damo Sword appeared, gripped by him, and then he gently swung it downward. A torrential and surging river of blood appeared, rushing across the shattered earth, filling the ravines.
The vigorous life force nourished the originally barren earth, mingling with sand or broken trees, and thousands of monsters were spawned by the forming of the blood river.
However, the Giant Serpent paid no attention to its newly spawned “minions”, although their size was considered giant beasts to mortals, to the Giant Serpent, they were no different from dust, unworthy of notice.
Although the creator neglected them, the created monsters were very diligent. The new monsters, hardly any smarter than their creator, all set their sights on Muria, who stood suspended in mid-air, and with an outburst of roars, they charged at him continuously.
“Lacking intelligence also means no possibility of being tamed, and the cost of subjugation is too high. Such beings, yet possessing the power to destroy the world—who else should die if not you?”
With a slight movement of the blade in his hand, the storm formed by the Sword Qi ground the monsters born from the blood river into pulp, and at the same time, thirty-two Fixed Star Beads appeared around him, stabilizing everything in the vicinity, including the twenty-three serpent heads that were biting at Him.
But Muria’s resistance only incited the Giant Serpent’s desire to attack. The thick serpent’s body wound towards the domain solidified by the Fixed Star Beads, and under the watch of the eight silent gods, a massive serpent ball was formed.
This was a serpent ball that touched the Dark Clouds filled with Thunder at its apex, and its size continued to grow, with the core being the space supported by Muria’s Fixed Star Beads.
“Such exaggerated brute strength!”
Muria, feeling his Divine Power being rapidly depleted as if a breach had opened within him, lamented, “What a pity, why did you choose me the moment you came out?”
“Even a brainless beast should be able to distinguish between strong and weak!”
As he whispered, the Titan Body of kilometres, refined a thousand times over by the power of the world’s rules, appeared amidst the serpent coiled around it. Then the Radiant eighteen-colored Divine Light shone brightly, and the already towering Titan Body began to grow visibly larger at a pace that could be seen with the naked eye, before bursting out from the inside of the serpent ball.
From the outside, in the view of the gods, they could see the Giant Serpent wrapping its body into a massive ball like a mad creature; however, this act only lasted for a short time before a majestic air, which even gods would tremble at, exploded from within the serpent ball.
Then, the serpent ball expanded, Radiant light pouring out from the broad gaps between the serpent’s body, and a massive hand reached out from the gaps, seizing a section of the serpent’s body.
Splash!
The Giant Serpent’s heavy scales, under the power of this hand, were effortlessly crushed like paper mache, and then the hand violently plunged into the body of the Giant Serpent,
Click—
The sound of some massive, hard object shattering could be heard as the blood-soaked hand emerged, holding what seemed like a piece of pure white serpent bone, slowly retracting from the serpent’s body.
