King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 1358 - 1358 1342 Giant Serpent

Chapter 1358: Chapter 1342 Giant Serpent Chapter 1358: Chapter 1342 Giant Serpent The destruction of a section of its spine rendered even the Ancient Giant Serpent temporarily unable to control part of its body. Consequently, the towering sphere of snake that had stretched to the Sky Dome instantly collapsed, revealing the majestic figure of Titan, standing between heaven and earth.

Such agony awakened the ferocity of the Ancient Giant Beast, which had roamed and ravaged the land since its birth. The monster, with nearly a hundred heads, roared and each head lunged at Muria, as if trying to tear the Titan deity apart.

Already possessing a thousand-meter true form, Muria, empowered by the outburst of Divine Power, grew to three thousand meters. Although his strength did not double with his size, his momentum was not to be underestimated, at least, in the eyes of the eight deities watching the battle.

Even against such size disparity, they still felt an equal sense of confrontation. But the unfolding battle soon proved that the impression of equal momentum was an illusion; in the ongoing clash between the two beings, one side clearly dominated the other.

Bright fountains of blood sprayed across the sky. At some point, the previously unarmed deity had acquired a Battle Halberd in hand. With it, he swung and severed every Giant Serpent head that bit at him.

And so, the Giant Serpent’s wails of agony echoed through heaven and earth as its headless necks flailed, blood spurting out like fountains, quickly filling the ravines beneath it. Meanwhile, an endless tide of monsters birthed from beneath its body.

Even the severed heads, shrouded in a layer of blood light, transformed into blood cocoons out of which thumping echoes, like war drums, resonated, signaling new monsters being nurtured within the remnants of the Giant Serpent.

“So powerful!”

As the God of Slaughter, who had faced the Giant Serpent ten thousand years ago, watched Muria’s ease in combat, he couldn’t help but exclaim, well aware of the monster’s immense strength.

And for the Giant Serpent, the ten millennia sealed and the passage of time were like a brief nap, affecting its combat prowess not at all,

Yet such a terrifying monster, when facing this foreign deity, was truly as insignificant as an ordinary beast, devoid of any power to resist and easily slaughtered.

“Indeed very powerful, but just this level of strength will still encounter some difficulty in defeating the Giant Serpent.”

Heavenly Master wore a worried expression. Observing Muria’s overwhelming vigor, even as Muria had the upper hand, he was not optimistic about the outcome of this battle. A monster that had rampaged across the land could not be vanquished so easily.

Back then, they could only use the resentment arising from the Giant Serpent’s rampages, along with the collective will of all beings, coupled with advantageous timing and location, to temporarily seal it. They were incapable of inflicting any fundamental harm.

Moreover, the monsters spawned from the flesh of the Giant Serpent during that battle continued to proliferate in this domain, still unleashing threat upon the land’s civil intelligent races, an ongoing aftermath of that war.

Now the battle had only just begun, and the monsters sprouting from the Giant Serpent’s flesh already far outnumbered those from the past. Should this war fail, even merely replicating the past victory by sealing the Giant Serpent would leave consequences far more dire than before for the land.

However, what unfolded next alleviated all of the Heavenly Master’s concerns, as a phantom world appeared behind the powerful deity.

No, it wasn’t a phantom world, but rather a projection of a real world, now linked to the battlefield. Hence, the legion eager to emerge rushed out to join Muria in slaughtering the monsters born from the Giant Serpent, reducing the battle’s distractions.

“Isn’t this a form of cheating? Could this truly count as one of Mr. Mu’s personal achievements?” questioned the Rain Nest God, who resembled a toad, as he watched the conflict escalating and the battle intensifying.

“How could it not count as Mr. Mu’s power?”

“If we consider this valid, after his elite legion defeats the Giant Serpent, do we not then have to submit to him, at his beck and call?”

The Rain Nest God was somewhat reluctant, having enjoyed thousands of years of freedom as a deity, the idea of suddenly being under someone else’s command was naturally met with resistance.

“Cultivating a legion adept in warfare is sufficient proof of the great person’s power. How could this not be considered part of his strength? You see, the Giant Serpent’s flesh also constantly spawns monsters. Mr. Mu has simply summoned a force corresponding to it.”

“Not everyone can sustain such a powerful legion. At least none of us present can do so, and that is a symbol of real strength,” the Mountain Control God commented indifferently, unemotional about joining the Nine Heavens Divine Court due to his detached nature.

“It isn’t cheating; this is all Mr. Mu’s own power,” concluded the Heavenly Master, defining the nature of Muria’s summoned legion, “Feel it for yourselves, each warrior possesses Mr. Mu’s Qi. These are Mr. Mu’s minions.”

Engaged in battle, Muria, hearing the words of the Heavenly Master, withdrew the fragment of his spirit he had extended.

If some rural deities dared call His methods cheating and invalid among themselves, then, after He had slain the Giant Serpent, they would truly understand the extent of the Cheater’s power.

“This thing heals way too fast!” Muria, refocusing on the battle, couldn’t help but admire his opponent, although it was a mindless enraged Giant Serpent capable only of endless roaring. However, to give credit where due, its physique was truly formidable.

The serpent’s vertebrae He had just crushed and the heads He had lopped off had all regrown in just a brief moment, and what’s more, the serpent’s aura hadn’t weakened in the least despite such rapid recovery from grievous injuries.

Such a scenario was undoubtedly abnormal, but Muria had already seen the reason—it lay in the Giant Serpent’s identity as an Ancient Giant Beast. Each Ancient Giant Beast was naturally nurtured, or in other words, the world itself was their parent.

Whether other Ancient Giant Beasts were as peculiar as this Giant Serpent was unclear to Muria, but the one before his eyes had the ability to draw strength continuously from the earth.

As long as it could stand on the earth, it could draw endless power… Such a talent, in a way, was also a hallmark of powerful monsters.

Monsters with this kind of talent could only be defeated by inflicting instantaneous damage that exceeded their healing threshold; only then could they be defeated. Otherwise, one would be caught in a war of attrition, exhausting oneself to death.

“Let’s give it a try!”

Though He briefly entertained the idea of lifting the Giant Serpent into the sky to kill it there, considering its immense body stretching thousands of miles, Muria wisely abandoned it. He believed it was more reliable to break through the serpent’s regenerative powers with sheer lethality.

Ao! Ao! Ao!

Just like the legends described, each head of the awakened serpent, with a mere lift, could reach the clouds and stir the winds.

HIs opponent was likewise a massive Giant God. He stood upon the earth, with the floating White Clouds barely reaching his waist, while his upper body was above the cloud layer.

With His hands swinging the Battle Halberd, He sliced off the heads of the Giant Serpent reaching into the clouds, and frequently, a torrential rain of blood would fall from the sky, drenching the land already carpeted with the carcasses of Demon Beasts.

Thunder gleamed amongst the blood-red clouds, torn by the serpent, occasionally striking the two beings who seemed to make heaven and earth capsize but served to do nothing more than highlight their existence; otherwise, they were utterly ineffectual.

The intense battle of three days and nights turned the mountains across thousands of miles into swamps stained with blood, with endless monsters emerging to charge into the sky and fight giants and God Dragons.

But this grisly scene served merely as a backdrop for a contest between a Giant God and a Giant Beast. It was visible that thirty-two Divine Beads shone brilliantly in the sky, completely replacing the sun obscured by the bloody clouds. However, the blinding light from these divine But this glow didn’t inflict any real damage on either side; it just made the Giant Serpent seem more decrepit.

And this was the new approach that Muria thought of after discovering His strongest attacks could not break through the serpent’s healing—He attempted to use the Heart Locking Orbs to seal off the earth’s ley lines outside of the war, cutting off the Giant Serpent’s source of power.

Though the Fixed Star Beads struggled to seal the Giant Serpent, if these Divine Artifacts couldn’t seal the Giant Serpent, couldn’t they seal the unresisting earth? Birthing countless spirits, the earth might sound impressive, but in reality, it lacked any intelligence; it was just an object that couldn’t resist, at their whims to manipulate.

“Mr. Mu is going to win!”

By the ninth day of the war, the Giant Serpent became increasingly wilted. Anyone with sense could clearly see who the victor of the battle would be. The god of slaughter, who had spent the most time with Muria, showed a mixed expression of joy and complexity.

He was born as the hero to slay the Giant Serpent and ascended to God Position through His defeat of the serpent, but now the reason for His existence was being defeated by other deities, while He simply watched from the beginning to the end—an irony, indeed.

Yet soon, the god of slaughter’s face showed a look of resignation; He had come to a clear understanding that what mattered was the impending erasure of the Giant Serpent, not the entity erasing it. In truth, that aspect was not important.

“Uh, Mr. Mu, what are you doing?”

Just when the war was nearing its end, Muria, as one of the participants, took an action that made no sense at all to the Council of Eight Gods.
