Chapter 1334 - 1334 1319 The Aspired Divine Beings

Chapter 1334: Chapter 1319: The Aspired Divine Beings Chapter 1334: Chapter 1319: The Aspired Divine Beings The Arrow of Fire that stretches for thousands of meters suddenly shattered under the Sky Dome, exploding into billions of fiery streaks that plummeted into the azure sea below. The temperature of the sea-dominated Divine Kingdom rose perceptibly at a rapid pace, and as the fiery streaks plunged into the sea, the waters began to boil.

Thus, creatures akin to seafood could be seen struggling in the abnormally warming waters of the sea, then, in extreme despair, they were cooked alive.

Consequently, a strange scent permeated the Divine Kingdom, causing Muria, who was in close combat with the Feathered Fire God, to divert some of her attention to watch the scene below where the vast ocean had turned into a gigantic steaming pot, witnessing the ghastly spectacle.

Although it was unclear what type of creatures those seafood that were being cooked alive were, some of the seafood managed to greatly stir Muria’s appetite… pah, her sympathy.

“What a tragic scene indeed, I feel like I could weep tears of sorrow from the corners of my mouth!”

Muria exclaimed as she casually sliced off a limb of the bird-headed god, which resembled a wing or perhaps an arm. She then watched the god become increasingly irate in a powerless fury.

The deity whose domain is Flames is a hot-tempered one, which isn’t all that surprising, and yet hot-temper is among the most useless of emotions, especially at pivotal moments. During critical incidents, it can only make things worse.

For instance, right now, the frenzied Feathered Fire God may bellow and shout, its voice reverberating across the battlefield, but those sounds are of rage and screams that Muria produced by her doing.

“With such feebleness, you think you can protect your Subordinate God? You’re not qualified!” Muria taunted according to plan, further stretching the hatred value.

By doing so, when she killed this bird-headed god, it would seem justified and not attract undue attention or wariness from other Divine Beings.

“You… I swear by my true name that today’s hatred and humiliation will be repaid twofold.”

Just as Muria had anticipated, and even better than originally expected, the irate deity immediately made a vow to take revenge on her.

Far from worrying Muria, this only made her smile brilliantly; of course, her face was covered by Divine Light, so her triumphant grin was not visible to the deity opposite her.

“Apart from these meaningless dramatics, what else are you capable of? You’re just an incapable waste, and being ranked alongside someone like you brings me shame!”

Muria intensified her mockery, further agitating the increasingly irritable divine being. But at this point, the power of the Divine Incarnation, repeatedly cleaved by Muria, grew weaker, and aside from emitting continuous roars of anger, it could no longer cause any substantial harm to Muria.

“Muria, if you dare harm my protected race, I will spare no effort to make you pay the price!”

After being again shattered by Muria, the Divine Power Avatar of the Feathered Fire God made a fierce threat, then burst into a billion crimson streaks that once again covered the entire Divine Kingdom. This created an aesthetically stunning and grand spectacle, yet it was fraught with danger that could be fatal to most life forms.

“Has the main god been defeated?”

The Void Singing God, who had been incredibly moved and ready to sacrifice himself for his main god, snapped out of his self-imposed trance when he saw the Divine Power Avatar, sent to aid him, getting blown apart by Muria.

“I…”

The Void Singing God, who had just thought of fleeing, had not yet acted on his impulse when a Battle Halberd, with a red glow akin to Blood slowly wafting around it, fell from the sky and impaled him on his own Divine Throne.

“No!”

Golden Divine Blood gushed from the Void Singing God’s chest, soaking half of the blade of the Prison-suppression Halberd, lending the weapon an additional aura of malevolence.

Impaled on his Divine Throne within his own Divine Kingdom, the god twisted his divine body in futile struggle, which only served to inflict greater harm on himself and served no other purpose.

“Did you think of today when you devoured the fleet of my protected race?”

Muria landed before the lesser deity he had nailed to the Divine Throne and spoke words that were merely procedural. What he received in return was a look of tragic fury and humiliation.

As a Deity, erasing any alien armed forces that might threaten one’s own believers was a matter of course, was it not? What had He done wrong? Was it not an action any deity would take? Why then had He met such a dire fate?

“Hmm, I understand your feelings,” Muria said, “but there must be a price for your actions. Today, I shall make use of your head.”

With that, Muria pulled out the fearsome weapon that had drained more than two-thirds of the Divine Blood from the deity’s body, leaving it somewhat withered, and swung his halberd to decapitate Him.

At that moment, all the Temples dedicated to the Void Singing God shook simultaneously, their Idols trembling incessantly, and both the heads and chests of the Idols cracked open.

However, the abnormalities in the Temples and Idols ceased there. The Idols did not collapse because their worshipped Deity had not fallen.

Muria did not deliver a killing blow because, for merely seeking to restore honor to his protected race, his current actions were already overstepping boundaries. If he were to kill another Deity for this, it would make Him seem exceedingly brutal, which was undesirable. Of course, the most important reason was that the fallen deity’s divine duties did not overlap with his.

“The grudge between you and my protected race is now settled,” Muria proclaimed. “However, my feud with your primary deity has just begun.”

Muria, carrying the head of the Void Singing God on his Battle Halberd, left the Divine Kingdom that had turned into a chaotic seafood stew. He then prepared to seek out the Feathered Fire God.

His attack was meant to make a name for himself and establish his divine position. To achieve his first goal, he had to pick someone of sufficient importance, and the Feathered Fire God, with Intermediate Divine Strength, was a very suitable choice.

As for the Void Singing God, He was merely a stepping stone and a pretext for achieving his true objective. Tragic, yes, but He was still alive, wasn’t He?

Although His Divine Kingdom was a wasteland, and He himself was nailed to a Divine Throne and had been humiliatingly decapitated, leaving behind an indelible psychological scar, He was still alive. For a lesser deity, that was the greatest Victory.

“How brutal,” someone remarked. “Look, He actually chopped off the head of the Void Singing God. What was the reason again?”

“I think it was because the Void Singing God swallowed up a fleet of His protected race!”

“To be beheaded in one’s own Divine Kingdom over such an affair, that’s just too tragic, I feel sorry for Him.”

“On the other hand, this Sun God seems quite protective, doesn’t He? To be under His patronage must be a fortunate thing. I just don’t know if He is still taking on Subordinate Gods.”

A deity who witnessed the entire incident and happened to be contemplating self-preservation, seeking a reliable protector, let out a heartfelt exclamation.

“Makes sense, this Deity would make a fine chief god if He ascended to that role.”

“Forget about it. How could a being so powerful casually accept Subordinate Gods? There must be strict criteria.”

“That may be true, but how would you know if you could succeed without trying?”

“Enough with the daydreaming for now. Look, that great deity doesn’t seem to be heading back. He appears to have more business with the Feathered Fire God!”

“What’s going on? He came for the Void Singing God, right? Why has He started a fight with His principal deity?”

“They’ve probably been at it for a while. They might have had a tussle right in the Divine Kingdom of the Void Singing God. It looks like the Sun God had the upper hand.”

“Not content with having the upper hand, He’s relentlessly pursuing the matter!”
