Chapter 1283 - 1283 1269 Epic Battle Insect Race

Chapter 1283: Chapter 1269: Epic Battle Insect Race Chapter 1283: Chapter 1269: Epic Battle Insect Race “You’ve worked hard, Ellis.”

As the insectoid Ellis, covered in transparent mucus, tore open the prepared insect eggshell, he heard a voice that was refreshing and pleasant yet made him feel genuinely content and willing to submit. He looked up and immediately saw the supreme incarnation of the Queen’s mental power.

“I am willing to give everything for Her Majesty the Queen.” The insectoid knelt down, crawling on the ground in an extremely humble posture, devoid of any semblance of the dignity of a nearly divine being.

“Rather than pleasing words, I prefer concrete actions.” The Queen of the Dream Palace was indifferent to her subordinate’s loyalty pledges, “Soon, I will go on a hunt, and you shall show your mettle then.”

“I will do my utmost not to disappoint you.” The insectoid bowed his head, replying with utmost respect, then he raised his head again to ask a question that had been weighing on his mind,

“Is your target the world I just arrived at?”

“Correct, you lost a body, which clarified what I desired.” The pleased Queen responded to her servant’s query, realizing that the enemies were weaker than she had anticipated.

“Prepare well and adapt to this new body quickly; the war is about to begin.”

“As commanded!”

The insectoid bowed his head as the Queen’s mental power projection in front of him dissipated, transforming into streams of deep blue light that sank downwards. In the next instant, within the Void, a massive planet writhed slightly and burst out in a dazzling blue brilliance.

This magnificent light made the huge planet reflect in the starry skies of other worlds within the Void, turning it into a brilliantly shining star.

Such apparently beautiful radiance often presaged the decline of a world. As the giant Insect Nest Planet began to tremble and radiate light, the battle insect race slumbering within the planet started to awaken, assembling orderly according to the Queen’s command.

And under the same glow of blue light, the previously dim and lifeless huge star belt also began to tremble. The lifeless asteroids uncurled their bodies, their fierce hooked limbs moving…

“Lord Mureya, did I win?” Red Dragon Auston, holding the insect carcass entwined and burning with Dragon Flames, asked uncertainly.

“Yes, you won.”

“Is this guy dead then?” Auston asked, his voice tinged with hesitation; the victory had come so suddenly that even he wasn’t prepared for it.

“What do you think?” Mureya showed no interest in answering his question.

“Not dead.” Auston chuckled sheepishly. He had a notion; though he had the upper hand in the battle, finishing off the upright insect creature outright was still highly challenging, making this victory highly unusual.

It looked like his opponent had faked death to escape, a maneuver trivial for a prepared legend. In Elasia, even a Lich of the Soul Intent Level could employ such tactics of fake death to escape.

“Lord, will that insect come again?”

“Definitely, but next time you see him, he won’t be alone; probably accompanied by a calamitous legion capable of conquering the world,” Mureya responded with a smile.

“Legion, that insect is?” Auston shivered, realization dawning on him instantly.

“Likely a minion of some Epic; if I’m not mistaken, that Epic will soon invade here.”

“An Epic war?” Auston widened his eyes, clueless.

“Perhaps.”

“Is it an Epic from this local world?” Auston began recalling the details of his recent battle.

“Probably not.”

“Is it like you, Lord, from another world? How are we to fight this?” Auston was confused; how would they deal with oppression in this world, fighting under the weight of Heavenly Punishment, or would everyone keep their powers suppressed and sneak around in combat?

“We’ll see when the time comes,” Mureya chuckled, the oppression from bigger worlds was indeed daunting, but situation-specific. If four Epics were to gather, it was uncertain who would be oppressing whom.

“Little Muria, your grandfather told you to deal with it cleanly and neatly, how could you let him escape?”

When Mureya returned to the snowy white Tower of Heaven, studying the self-sealed Insect Queen and simultaneously monitoring the battle situation, Golden Dragon Mother approached him, curious.

“He has a big figure behind him, I planned to lure Him in so we could strike together; there should be good gains then.”

Muria was sharing his thoughts, he could certainly ensure the death of that insect person and prevent any chance of his revival if he took action, but doing so might not scare the existence behind the insect person, and at the very least, it would alert the enemy.

Now, by acting this way, the Insect Empress who was spying on them would respond as if she was dealing with a being almost at the Epic level. Caught completely unprepared, the three Epic beings might be put in a difficult situation, and the empress could directly overturn her situation.

“Her true body doesn’t have to come in,” Dimos said to his grandson, outlining a very likely scenario, “You might just trap some insect armies, and all you’ll get are some high-quality insect corpses.”

“If her real body doesn’t come in, no matter how many legions she sends, we’ll wipe them all out,” Muria gritted his teeth harshly, “I don’t believe she wouldn’t save her own kind.”

“If that’s the case, then the empress would be even less likely to come, based on what I know, Insect Empresses never represent the highest combat force of the insect race, it’s the battle insects they create that possess the strongest military strength.”

“Dad, are you saying that an Insect Empress can create minions stronger than herself?”

“Exactly,” Dimos affirmed.

“That’s quite bizarre!” Golden Dragon Mother felt this was quite strange, minions stronger than their creator was an odd occurrence, yet such things existed in the Void.

“It’s not strange, an Epic Insect Empress can create battle insects with Epic combat powers, but these minions only excel in combat aspects and have talents that only an Insect Empress can compensate for in other areas.”

“Tsk, these empresses really know how to play!”

“For the insect empresses, the insects produced by the nests are merely tools, of course, those high-ranking battle insects have irreplaceable, unique characteristics, so they are extremely cautious and careful when using them,” said Dimos.

“Hmm, I’m a bit curious what an Epic combat-force insect looks like?” Although the likelihood of his plans succeeding wasn’t high, Muria’s interest hadn’t diminished at all.

“Although I’ve never seen one, I can speculate that normal Epic abilities are something these insects don’t possess. The epic Body of Myriad Spirits and the ability to wield source power.”

“Lacking these would definitely reduce their combat effectiveness,” Muria stroked his chin.

“Even if it would reduce their combat power, the Insect Empress wouldn’t grant her servants these powers,” said Golden Dragon Mother with utter certainty, “Once they gain the power to use source power, too many unforeseen changes could occur.”

“Hmm, so the enemies we face might just be purely capable of fighting, with very poor abilities in other aspects?”

“Exactly!”

“This is the spatial tunnel, Lord Basolomi.” Insect Ellis eyed the being in front of him with a look of reverence—it was a humanoid battle insect that looked extremely similar to him.

However, its form was more ferocious, or rather more perfect, more suited for combat. He appeared to be a crude copy of this battle insect.

Indeed, that was the case. Insect Ellis was one of the copies created using the strongest battle insect under the command of Empress Dream Palace as a template, and Ellis was the highest in combat power among the many copies, yet still incomparable to Basolomi.

The strongest battle insect, Basolomi, was a being over a hundred meters tall, clad in black armor, with more than ten horns bending in various directions on his head, like a uniquely shaped helmet.

In the center of his chest, a gold-red light burst forth. Upon closer inspection, the light pulsated, emitting terrifying energy fluctuations, which was one of his powerful sources: a heart fundamentally no different from the sun.

“Hmm!”

Basolomi responded with a sound, not hurried to lead his insect army into the spatial tunnel but instead looked up at the sky now enveloped by dark clouds with dense thunder flashing.

“Something is wrong with this world!”

“Is it because the repulsion is too strong?” asked Ellis, who hadn’t noticed anything unusual about this creature-extinguished world not long ago.

But this time, as he followed the insect army into this world, he finally sensed the anomaly—the world’s resistance was unreasonably strong. Despite being a world where the creatures had been exterminated, the degree of its suppression and rejection towards foreigners was extraordinarily intense, causing damage to the insect army as they entered.

“The repulsion is strong, but more importantly, it makes me feel oppressed and in danger.”

Basolomi couldn’t understand. Observing from the Void, this was just an ordinary medium-sized world, so why the unusual behavior? The suppressive force almost resembled that of a much larger world, or perhaps it was indeed a larger world.

“Let’s not worry about these anomalies for now, rescuing my daughter takes precedence,” commanded Empress Dream Palace, who almost simultaneously perceived the abnormalities of this world and made the most mature and prudent decision, “Continue with your mission, I have contacted several other empresses already, and if an uncontrollable entity appears, other empresses will send support in the shortest possible time.”
