King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1282 - 1282 1268 Lure and Kill
Chapter 1282: Chapter 1268: Lure and Kill Chapter 1282: Chapter 1268: Lure and Kill Releasing blistering high temperatures, Red Dragon Auston gazed at the equally powerful Insectoid in front of him and announced his name. Then, heaven and earth changed color, as brilliant orange flames explosively spread, even coloring the clouds, located thousands of meters away, into a dazzling fiery red.
“Was it not your master who fought with me?” Insectoid Ellis asked, looking at the youth who had retreated to a far distance, somewhat puzzled.
“What are you to challenge Lor Mureya in battle?” Upon hearing this question, Auston laughed out loud, “To engage in battle with me, Auston, is already a great honor for you.”
“You are just a mount!” Ellis calmly stated his truest thoughts. In his eyes, this beast with brilliant red scales, albeit powerful, was merely a mount and simply not his equal.
“You are nothing but an insect, and yet you dare speak to me with such a tone.” Auston showed a fierce smile. Although it irritated him to be called a mere mount, he did not consider it shameful, especially given Muria’s identity.
“Today, I will let you know the vast difference between an insect and a dragon!”
Known for his fiery temper, the Red Dragon used his power to constrain the space around him and then his conical dragon breath submerged everything visible in front of him.
But this dragon breath, capable of melting mountains, turning them into magma, and evaporating rivers, did not harm the insectoid at all. Bathed in the deep-red, viscous-liquid-like flames, the black carapace on the insectoid shone even brighter under the scorching flames.
“Nice flames, but still not enough.” Like a sharp blade, the insectoid’s body cleaved through the river formed by the dragon breath and appeared beneath Auston’s jaw, then raised his fist and punched directly towards Auston’s chin.
The punch, powerful enough to shake the earth, missed its target and hit thin air, producing a piercing explosive noise. A clearly visible fist mark lingered between the sky, an anomaly created by the blasting of the atmosphere, pushing away all the air it passed through.
The piercing buzzing roared as the air began to refill, forming chaotic and irregular furious wind currents.
But the initiator did not care. He was surprised that his punch had hit empty space and had not met its target, but he did not stop to look for where the large beast had gone; he immediately blinked away from his original position.
Right after he left, a long and powerful dragon tail exploded through his lingering afterimage, and immediately after, flames so red they were nearly black submerged the area.
Boom!
The insectoid, wrapped in the viscous, liquid-like flames, burst forth from the flames, dragging a trail of fiery remnants, but his momentum did not stop. After dragging nearly three thousand meters through the sky, he crashed down onto the earth.
Thus, on the surface of the earth, a mile-long valley appeared, ranging from shallow to deep in color. Within the valley, filled with scorched deep red crystals, searing high-temperature flames burned, evaporating all matter.
“What a fierce attack!” The Insectoid stood up from the deepest part of the canyon he had formed with his body, gazing up at the sky at the red behemoth that was flapping its wings and swinging its long tail, with all scorn erased from his heart.
“Kid, what of it being at the Legendary Peak? You dare to underestimate me, and I’ll still pin you to the ground and thrash you,” Auston said, somewhat proudly, having gained the upper hand in the first round. His opponent was of a higher realm, but had suffered at his hand during the fight.
Though he was pleased with himself, Auston did not foolishly stay in place. He could tell that his opponent specialized in close combat, possessing a physique almost epic in its strength.
Boom!
The next moment, a black and red streak brushed past Auston, hitting only an afterimage. Although it did not hit the main body, viscous blood, like magma, fell from the sky.
“You have a deep understanding of space.”
The insectoid, holding a handful of finely crushed red dragon scales, looked at Auston, feeling somewhat frustrated. His opponent possessed agility completely at odds with his size, but the source of that agility came from space, which he was not skilled in.
This left him floundering, as his own space ability was entirely based on his strength and he actually lacked a deep study of it. Facing an opponent who could use spatial abilities flexibly in combat was truly troublesome.
But it was not without solution—he had fought this type of opponent before and had experience with it.
“If we’re going to fight, why issue such a sweeping attack?”
On the sidelines, Muria sighed helplessly as he watched the intensity of the battlefield escalate.
The aftermath of a battle between two legends could permanently change the geography of an area, not to mention a battle between two high-level legends. At the start of the battle, both could control their power, but as the fight went on, their attacks uncontrollably spilled into the surrounding area.
Indeed, Muria was more concerned about the impact their fight was having on the environment around them than the outcome of the fight between his Red Dragon and the foreign enemy. Their strength was not much different.
Neither could seriously injure the other quickly. Without being able to inflict injuries that could significantly affect combat power, the battle between two legends with ultra-high-speed regenerative abilities was a protracted war of attrition with no end in sight.
However, Muria would rather intervene in attacks that could damage the surrounding environment than put an end to this war of attrition, because he had sensed something.
The Insectoid battling Red Dragon Auston was the eyes and coordinate of a certain entity. With that in mind, Muria let this pair of eyes watch to their heart’s content; if he could lure the entity behind them into the trap, it would be ideal.
His grandfather and his mother were not old-fashioned dragons, not at all like Titan who favored fair battles and duels. When the time came, with three Legends striking together, unless the lured one was excessively strong, they would be able to suppress him instantly.
…
“So, a portal connecting to another world has appeared; no wonder Altis met with an accident, this indeed was beyond my expectation.”
In the Void, within a massive celestial body that was sluggishly rotating with planetary rings, a gigantic woman of stature comparable to Titan laid lazily reclined.
She was in a vast chamber that reflected blue light and displayed evident biological characteristics; one could see dark blue beams of light flowing outward from where the giantess lay.
It was this substantial mental power that rendered everything around her in a brilliant blue, which was key for the Insect Queen to control the insect nest and manipulate millions of legions because of this incredible mental power; the Insect Queen had unparalleled control over her creations.
Even the lowest class of worker insectoids could receive the Insect Queen’s will without any detour, which was simply unbelievable for races outside the insect race, especially when the race had an enormous base.
“A native creature approaching the dominion of Masters; it looks like the world Altis was hunting is connected to a resource-rich world, capable of nurturing such beings,
However, it’s funny and pitiful that this little girl hasn’t harnessed the strength of this world and even got captured by the natives.”
Red Dragon Auston, who was fighting the insectoid Ellis, was reflected in the brilliant blue eyelids of the Insect Queen, and she had come to understand the power he possessed,
“Although this giant beast’s strength is not bad, just this level is not enough to break through Altis’s insect nest. Does he have a stronger force behind him, this insignificant creature?”
By using her unique and irreplaceable loyal general’s eyes, the image of a black-haired and golden-pupiled boy also appeared before the Insect Queen.
But merely observing from afar, she couldn’t begin to guess the boy’s strength, though in terms of status, this boy was far above the Red Dragon. However, she knew well that strength didn’t necessarily match status, and this might just be a second-generation princeling with high connections.
“Ellis, go and test that boy; I want to know his strength.”
The puzzled Insect Queen issued her command to her servant. Even if she needed to rescue her daughter, she had to understand the basic intel and couldn’t blindly deploy her forces without knowing anything.
“As you wish, my Queen!”
…
“Roar!”
The Flames released by Red Dragon Auston, which had scorched the plants below him to a dry and charred state, emitted a roar filled with rage as his opponent dodged him and attacked toward Lord Muria behind him.
“You filthy insect, die!”
A white-hot light flashed in the throat of the Ancient Red Dragon and then transformed into a beam of light, striking the insectoid’s back. However, this attack was too late, as the insectoid, clad in armor-like chitin, had already thrown its biological chitin weapon towards Muria.
“What is he trying to do?”
Muria effortlessly crushed the insectoid’s chitin long spear with a slap, then looked at the insectoid whose half-body had been shattered by Auston’s Dragon Breath. Although its body regenerated in an extremely short time, because of this brainless act, he was completely overwhelmed in the following battle.
“A truly brainless move, not only meaningless but also putting oneself in an extremely passive situation, and the only achievement was to make me take action,” Muria said as he looked down at his palm and laughed. He probably understood now, “Within the insect race, the will of the Queen is supreme; it seems the queen behind this insectoid wants to see my strength!”
“Ellis, that’s enough. Abandon the body and come back; I no longer need you to fight.”
Boom—
Red Dragon Auston watched with astonishment as the insect’s body was consumed by the Dragon Flames.
