Chapter 1069 - 1069 1056 Three Teachers

Chapter 1069: Chapter 1056: Three Teachers Chapter 1069: Chapter 1056: Three Teachers It was unclear if it was because Ferdinand was extremely far-sighted, or if he had once harbored a similar thought, but just as Muria was considering whether to deal with his own kind, his father sent someone to deliver some information about the Royal Blood Crystal.

“Only the members of royalty who have willingly undergone the Third Awakening can leave behind a Royal Blood Crystal, otherwise, no power would remain.”

Muria looked at the pile of ashes on the table in front of him, somewhat bemused. These were the remnants of an envelope that had spontaneously combusted after he had opened it.

“Never mind, it seems that my idea from yesterday is unworkable, but even if it were feasible, I would not engage in such an act. It now appears that the only way to obtain the Royal Blood Crystal is through my father.

Having demonstrated such perfect control over my talent, he should not be stingy with me,” Muria mused, stroking his chin as he fell into a deep thought.

Due to various conditions, the Royal Blood Crystal was incredibly rare, but when one thought about it, it made sense. If the royal families could freely plunder power from each other and thereby enhance themselves, the Gai Royal Family would likely have fallen into chaos long ago!

Only under the condition of willingness can a Power Crystal be left behind, which also ensures that each monarch can sit securely on the throne, preventing horrific occurrences like regicide or patricide.

Muria had long sensed a powerful force within Ferdinand, or rather, in his chest, but he also felt that this power was not Ferdinand’s to begin with; he probably could only manipulate it with great effort.

“That power must be the inheritance of the monarch of Gai Nation. According to the power characteristics of the royal family, this power could be a legacy passed down from the first monarch.

The power inheritance of the Gai King is a culmination of all past kings, which makes this power quite substantial.”

A look of interest appeared in Muria’s eyes. If he could obtain this power crystal, which would allow him to skyrocket to the heights of power, it would save him a lot of time.

“From this perspective, I just found another reason to claim the Gai Nation’s throne.”

“His Majesty Arnold, please come with us.” When Muria’s three-day confinement was over, a group of knights came in front of him.

Then Muria, led by this group of royal guards, met Ferdinand in a small palace.

“Change out of your clothes and wear this.” Ferdinand didn’t say much after seeing Muria, but instead, threw him a loosely-fitted robe.

Muria took the clothes and glanced toward the corner of the palace, where a pattern emitting a dim light pulsed, a familiar vibration that confirmed to Muria it was a Teleportation Array.

“Arnold, now I will send you to a place known only to me, where you will undergo the training I have arranged for you. Only upon completion of all your training to my satisfaction may you return here and receive my reward for your completion.”

“I want the Royal Blood Crystal,” Muria said, ignoring what Ferdinand was saying. He did not need any so-called training, as he only needed one thing, so he added, “I want it now.”

“All this, I have already prepared for you in the training location I have arranged for you.”

Hearing this, Muria no longer said anything, changed into the set of clothes, and following Ferdinand’s instructions, stepped onto the Teleportation Array, disappearing from the dark, oppressive-feeling palace.

“A fifteen-year-old king, unprecedented,” Ferdinand mused as he watched Arnold disappear in the Teleportation Array, “When I announce my next successor, the look on those fellows’ faces will certainly be spectacular!”

“Arnold, do not disappoint me! To become the youngest king in history, you must possess a power comparable to the first monarch; otherwise, you will not be able to securely hold this position.”

Ferdinand took one last look at the dimly lit Teleportation Array in the corner of the palace, then with his knights, he directly poured molten copper into the crevices of the palace, sealing it shut.

If Arnold met his demands and returned, then he could easily break down the palace gates.

At that moment, standing atop a mountain peak, Muria gazed down at the vast, rolling Cloud Sea below, lost in thought. He looked back at the rudimentary Teleportation Array not far from him.

This was a damaged Magic Array, but with his expertise in the field, given some time, he could repair the Teleportation Array and even reduce its energy consumption by more than 50% while maintaining its effectiveness.

But there was no need. Ferdinand had already resolved to have him undergo some training and, judging from it, had even prepared a substantial amount of Royal Blood Crystal for him. Since that was the case, why would he run back? To seek a reprimand?

“Are you Ferdinand’s son?” Just as Muria was contemplating his next move, a voice came from the sky. Muria looked up following the sound and immediately saw a colossal giant descending from the sky.

This was a giant with iron-gray skin, and behind him were a pair of broad wings as if forged from steel. On his forehead, a horn covered in spiral patterns stretched forth.

“That’s right.” Muria, observing the giant whose height neared twenty meters, showed no sign of surprise on his face. The monster before him should—unless something unexpected happened—be a human who had undergone multiple awakenings.

“I heard that Ferdinand’s sons and daughters already number over a hundred, many of whom have grown up. And you, so young, were sent over to us for guidance. What’s unique about you?”

As the giant landed, the cloud sea around the mountains surged, and then a cloud of mist rose from below, circling around Muria before a graceful woman composed purely of mist appeared before him.

“Because his talent is the most outstanding among all his brothers and sisters.” Just then, another aged voice rang out, and countless vapor particles condensed in the air to form an elderly man who appeared of no particular note, answering the man and woman’s question.

“The most outstanding? How outstanding?” The steel-gray giant looked down at Muria, who seemed impossibly small in his eyes, both in age and stature.

“Rather than I answer that, why not let His Majesty the Prince demonstrate it to you himself?” The elderly man said with a smile, looking at Muria as kindly as the friendly old man next door.

“Boy, show us the reason Ferdinand sent you to us!” The giant crossed his arms and then looked down at Muria, “If your talent doesn’t satisfy me, I’ll turn around and leave. I don’t teach the worthless.”

Muria looked at the three who seemed to be teachers hired for him by Ferdinand. His body gradually showed fire patterns. His short stature swelled and enlarged, then a fierce and majestic demon stood atop the peak.

Once Muria transformed, his robe, too, seemed to absorb some of his seemingly insignificant power, enlarging with him and sparing him the embarrassment of his clothes bursting.

“Hmm, this form, if I remember correctly, seems to be one that the Gai Royal Family only acquires after their Second Awakening!” The woman formed from mist sized up Muria, thought for a moment, and then said somewhat uncertainly.

“That’s right, this is indeed the form of the Gai Royal Family when undergoing a Second Awakening. I was right beside Ferdinand when he went through his Second Awakening; I’ve seen him fight in this form.”

Unlike the woman’s uncertainty, the giant was very certain. He looked at Muria and couldn’t help showing a trace of admiration, “Boy, how old are you this year?”

“Five.”

“Not bad,”

“My Second Awakening came because I merged with a royal crystal, not because I achieved it through my own cultivation.”

“What of it? Being able to swallow that proves your ability. Some worthless ones, given a crystal, take years just to swallow it,” the woman’s face showed disdain as she seemed to recall some of the worthless ones she had seen.

“That’s right, being able to swallow it is your ability,” the giant agreed with the woman’s statement, and then affirmed Muria further, “Five years old, Second Awakening, you are quite good, I’ll take you as my student.”

“Hold on, if you want to be my Teacher, you’ll have to see if I’m willing. What can you teach me?” Muria looked at the giant and challenged.

“Brave.” Hearing Muria’s challenge, the giant threw back his head and roared with laughter. Then he stared at Muria, “I can teach you how to fight amidst ten thousand troops, teach you how to lead your own army to victory after victory.”

Muria nodded at the giant’s response and then looked towards the woman formed of mist who, as he enlarged his form, also enlarged her own body, always maintaining a position about half a body taller than him, though he didn’t understand the meaning behind it.

“I can teach you how to be a king,” the woman formed of mist said as she saw Muria’s gaze.

“You are a king?” Muria asked.

“I was.”

“And now?”

“Not anymore,” the woman replied to Muria’s question with a face showing neither displeasure nor care, “I threw the throne to my sister, being a king is no fun.”

“…” Muria fell silent, then turned to the old man.

“I have nothing special to teach you, it depends on what you wish to learn,” the old man promptly replied with a chuckle before Muria’s gaze came his way.

Upon hearing this response, Muria felt somewhat reassured, and he roughly knew which of the three teachers Ferdinand had specifically hired for him was the most capable.
