Chapter 1068: Chapter 1055 Second Awakening, The End of Awakening Chapter 1068: Chapter 1055 Second Awakening, The End of Awakening “Don’t you have an urge to devour this crystal?”

Ferdinand watched as the black smoke surrounding his offspring’s body grew denser, indicating that his power had entered a boiling and turbulent state. He knew firsthand how difficult it was to control power in this state, which made him all the more curious.

“Yes, the power within me really wants to devour and merge with this crystal.”

“Then why haven’t you?” Ferdinand asked, looking at his offspring who remained composed, his curiosity growing.

“I control the power within my body, not the other way around. I am the master,” Muria replied.

Every Titan learns to control every bit of power within themselves from the moment of birth, and they don’t need any other Titan for this; it’s an innate awareness they are born with.

To be the master of one’s power, rather than being controlled and influenced by it, becoming its slave, is a basic skill for a Titan. Just like Muria now, even if the power inside him very much wants to devour the crystal, he needs to clearly understand the origin of the crystal in his hand. No matter how much his inner power craves it, it must obediently submit to him.

“If only you could have been born twenty years earlier, no, even ten years earlier would have sufficed.” Hearing his offspring’s response, Ferdinand couldn’t help but sigh and a look of regret appeared in his eyes.

“Stop suppressing the power inside you and let it devour, this crystal holds no danger for you, and consuming it will only bring benefits,” he said.

“What kind of benefits?” Muria asked seriously.

“It can bring forward your Second Awakening,” said Ferdinand with a faint smile on his face, his voice laden with a tempting force. He believed even his son, with his strong self-control, would find it difficult to resist.

“Second Awakening?” Muria raised his eyebrows slightly. The royal family typically undergoes an Initial Awakening around the age of ten, followed by a Second Awakening at adulthood, around the age of eighteen, which triggers a qualitative transformation in the royal family’s power and overall form.

“Exactly.”

“So you’re saying, this crystal can shorten the time needed for awakening, right?”

“Exactly, after you have completely devoured and absorbed the Power Crystal in your hand, not only can you complete the Second Awakening, but you can also shorten the time required for the Third Awakening.”

“Is that so!” Muria reached out, took the black and red crystal from its case, and held it in his hand, releasing the suppression of the power within his body.

And so, Muria felt the power within him surge like a fierce dragon from his arm, forming a dense cloud of black smoke that completely enveloped his entire arm. The black-red smoke was thickest at the fist clutching the crystal, appearing somewhat sinister.

At that moment, Muria also felt his strength beginning to increase as the energy contained within the crystal in his hand was ceaselessly plundered by the power inside of him.

The most direct external manifestation was the flickering of tiny specks of gold and red light within the black and red smoke that shrouded Muria’s entire left arm.

Sure enough, Muria’s body began showing distinctly vivid changes as well. His body started to swell and enlarge. Although the process was slow, the change was visibly noticeable to the naked eye.

Muria could clearly feel his perspective slowly rising, and he also felt himself progressively growing stronger, filled with a surging sense of power swelling throughout his body.

Then, Muria felt a tickling sensation all over his body, indicative of new tissues growing all over him.

Muria could clearly “see” the changes taking place on his body; he could “see” the Fire Patterns that were previously only on his face starting to spread along his neck and throughout his body.

His skin, which had appeared fair and delicate, began to darken and deepen, exuding a sense of toughness. Simultaneously, at the joints of his elbows, ankles, knees, bone spurs sharp as crescent blades pierced through his skin, projecting from his body with a metallic luster.

“Second Awakening!” Ferdinand exclaimed, watching Muria who had now grown to nearly the same height as himself. Surprise emerged on his face.

And when he saw that Muria’s body was sprouting crescent-shaped Bone Blades everywhere, the surprise became even more pronounced, mixed with astonishment in his eyes.

“How can it be absorbed so quickly?” Ferdinand frowned and murmured to himself. This transformation completely shattered his worldviews.

Yet he couldn’t deny the reality of the transformation, as it had taken place right before his eyes, and it was him who had caused it.

While Ferdinand pondered, Muria’s stature had already grown close to three meters tall. His clothes had burst open from the growth, fully exposing his current state.

The nearly three-meter-tall figure was both tall and slender, with clearly defined muscular contours filled with a sense of strength. Titan’s pitch-black skin resembled obsidian that had cooled from molten lava. Between this tough skin, streaks of fire patterns with the hue of lava spread across, imbuing Muria with majesty and an extremely powerful visual impact.

“Is there a problem?” Muria, who had completely absorbed the power crystal given by his father, crouched down and asked his father.

“The problem is significant. Based on my predictions, it should have taken you at least three months to fully absorb this power crystal, but in reality, you took only half an hour to completely absorb it.”

“The effect of my strength absorption far exceeded your expectations. That should be considered a good thing no matter how you look at it, right?”

“That’s correct.” Hearing Muria’s words, Ferdinand’s furrowed brows relaxed, “This is indeed a good thing.”

As he spoke, Ferdinand couldn’t help but touch the center of his chest, a look of hesitation appeared in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared as he covertly covered it up and looked up at Muria.

“Don’t discuss this matter with anyone for now. Keep it a secret, remember, not a word.”

“I know.”

“During this time, don’t engage in any battle with anyone, and certainly do not reveal your Second Awakening form,” Ferdinand continued to instruct, but soon shook his head, “Forget it, I’ll make the arrangements. Get ready.”

“Ready for what?”

“To leave this Royal Palace and undergo training that is exclusive to you alone.” Ferdinand turned away, his heart already had plans for Muria.

“Spend these next few days honestly staying here, getting used to the strength you’ve gained, and don’t go out.”

After finishing, the king, whose heart was filled with surprise, left Muria’s sleeping chamber. Next, he had to find a suitable teacher for Muria.

His son was no longer fit to be educated alongside his other offspring. At only five years old, he had already completed his Second Awakening, an achievement unparalleled in the entire history of the Gai Nation.

“With such Talent, Arnold may very well be able to perfectly bear the strength of our ancestors and rekindle the peerless grace from when our ancestors first established the Gai Nation.”

Upon returning to the interior of the Royal Palace, Ferdinand began pondering how to arrange for Muria. During his reflection, his palm involuntarily pressed against his own chest.

He could feel a hard Crystal Core at the very center of his chest. He knew what it was—the power left behind by the first King who had established the Gai Nation.

This power crystal was the proof of each sovereign. Only the one who merged with this power crystal was the true King of Gai.

“My natural abilities are mediocre, unable to bear the strength of the ancestors. Merely using it has become a heavy burden for me, but perhaps Arnold can.”

Ferdinand sat upon the Throne, slowly closing his eyes, a look of weariness on his face. Although he appeared strong and vigorous, his days were numbered,

“It’s just a pity that Arnold was born too late. How much longer can I hold on? Ten years, or eight? There just isn’t enough time for him to grow.”

While the king, sitting on his Throne, was troubled and sighed over the issue of succession, Muria was in his own sleeping chamber, savoring his newfound strength.

“Initial Awakening, Second Awakening, and then comes the Third Awakening…” Muria, observing his current Awakened Form, also fell into thought, “What will I become at the end of the Royal Blood Awakening? To what extent will my strength increase?”

Muria had no answers to these questions; he could only speculate based on his current strength. But one thing he could be sure of was that the more times the Royal Blood Awakened, the less human-like one became.

For example, his current Second Awakened Form had some resemblance to humans in overall shape, but in other aspects, it had nothing in common with humans.

At the very least, normal humans do not breathe out sparks from their mouth and nose while speaking or breathing. Nor do their joints have Exoskeletons.

Of course, maintaining this humanoid Form required strength. When Muria retracted the power within him, his body began to shrink slowly, reverting to the harmless appearance of a five-year-old child.

“Continuously absorbing Royal Blood Crystals seems to be a way to get stronger quickly. If I could obtain more of these crystals, I would grow stronger at an unbelievable rate.”

Muria put his clothes back on and then fell into contemplation, “The power of the royal family is of the same kind and source, with very little rejection amongst them. Does that mean that I can merge all of the royal family’s power, and can I also devour the power of other royal members?”
