Chapter 69: Something That Should Be Kept Secret

When morning came, Mike came to Daren’s room as usual to wake him up. He knocked on the door and entered the Omega’s room.

"Young master, it’s time to wake up. Open your eyes and..." His steps and words trailed off as he looked at Daren who was still fast asleep.

However, he was not alone. He was asleep in Axel’s arms. After their kiss last night, Daren wanted him to sleep with him on the grounds that he was still scared.

Because of the kiss, Axel had indirectly expressed his feelings for the Omega, he accepted and slept with Daren in his arms. Protecting him from the fear that enveloped him.

Mike’s eyes widened in shock, transfixed by the sight before him. Daren was smiling in his sleep in Axel’s arms. For some reason there was an ache in his chest, a tightness he shouldn’t be feeling.

’Daren... You...’

He turned his face away for a moment then tried to restrain himself from doing anything. Soothing the uncomfortable feeling he had at the sight of the two of them.

Mike put down his tray then opened the balcony curtains in Daren’s room, letting in the sunlight and waking them both up.

"Ermn... Morning already?" asked Daren. But he buried his face into Axel’s chest to avoid the sun.

"Yes, it’s morning now, young master," replied Mike who was still standing staring out over the balcony, he squeezed the curtain in his hand. "It’s time for you and Mr. Axel to wake up."

He sighed then turned around and smiled, going over to his bed and pulling up the covers as usual.

"Young master, let’s get up..."

When he was about to rub Daren’s head, his wrist was caught by Axel who stared straight at him. It was as if the Alpha sensed that another Alpha was trying to touch his Omega.

"Don’t worry, it’s me."

When he saw Mike smiling at him, Axel immediately let go of his hand as he realized it was the butler.

He immediately let go of Daren and seated himself. Turning to Omega who was pulling on his shirt to go back to sleep.

"Wake up, Mike’s here!" Axel ruffled Daren’s hair until he finally woke up.

"Mnnn... I’m still sleepy," Daren replied as he sat up and yawned. "Oh Mike, it’s time for tea."

"Right, but before that... Can I ask you and Mr. Axel something?"

They both nodded their heads, then Mike asked about what happened last night between the two of them until they slept in bed together. Even though they just slept together and didn’t do anything more, he wanted to know about it.

Axel then explained about what happened to Daren last night at the restaurant and how they fell asleep in Daren’s bed together.

"That’s why I’m here with him, we didn’t do anything. So you don’t have to worry," he explained.

"I see, I get it now."

"Mike, do you want to know? Axel and I are mates now!" said Daren happily as he took Axel’s hand.

The ginger alpha gasped in surprise when he heard that, he knew this was going to happen. Especially after he watched the two of them fall asleep together. But it still surprised him.

"Who said you were my mate I never asked you to be my mate," Axel said as he flicked Daren’s forehead.

"Ouch... But last night you kissed me twice! Then you said you’d kiss me again and again, so it wasn’t an invitation to be a mate?" asked Daren as he rubbed his forehead.

"I don’t want to be your mate, you’re so annoying. You’re like a kid who just discovered candy."

"But you like it, right?" he touched his cheek with her finger.

Daren laughed as he teased his bodyguard and leaned towards him, making Axel sigh and smile slightly at the sight.

However, Mike suddenly opened his mouth and stopped them both.

"Stop that, young master,"

Daren and Axel immediately turned to Mike who was staring at them both.

"It’s better not to tell anyone about this and not to let the maids know. It would be dangerous if it reached Master’s ears. I know sometimes Master doesn’t care what young master does, it’s just to avoid unwanted things," he explained to Daren.

"Mike..." He was still surprised that Mike suddenly spoke in such a stern tone.

It was different from his usual gentle and innocent demeanor. He also had a very serious look in his eyes toward him and Axel.

He then smiled again and approached Daren and rubbed his head.

"It’s better if it just me who know it and I’m happy to see you happy, young master. Your feelings were finally reciprocated and you became Mr. Axel’s mate. I am happy for you," he said.

However, Axel suddenly pulled Daren away from Mike as he was jealous of his Omega being touched by another Alpha. Mike was silent for a moment as he no longer touched Daren’s blonde hair and then pulled himself away.

"Ahahaha... Sorry, I didn’t mean to do anything to the young master. Rest assured, I won’t do anything more than my duty," the butler said and poured tea for Daren.

He stood waiting for Daren to finish his tea and cake. He watched as Daren ate his cake along with Axel, even seeing how the Omega was enjoying his time with his new mate.

’Good, Daren has finally found someone who can fill the void in him. Someone who will always be there for him and make him smile,’ he thought.

"It’s not too sweet, try it!" Daren fed Axel the biscuit in his hand.

But just as the Alpha was about to take a bite, he ate the biscuit himself.

"What a slob!"

"Hey, you didn’t even intend to give me that biscuit in the first place, did you?"

He laughed and continued eating the biscuits on the plate until the last biscuit, Daren took a bite and then gave the empty plate to Mike.

"Well, if you’ll excuse me," Mike said, taking the plate and placing it on the tray and leaving the room.

"Hey," Axel called out.

"Umnn?" Daren turned around with the biscuit still on his lips.

With one motion, he pulled his chin up and ate the biscuit on Daren’s lips. He even crushed the man’s lips greedily, making Daren freeze.

"You said the biscuit wasn’t too sweet, it’s surprisingly sweet. Could it be because I ate it off your lips?" he asked teasingly.

Daren’s face turned red and he immediately pouted at Axel’s words to him.

"Hmph, you big, annoying Alpha!"

"But you love me, right?"
