Chapter 70: Strange Television Programs

From that day until three weeks passed, Daren and Axel kept their relationship a secret from everyone and tried to live normally as if nothing had happened. Except when it was just the two of them, Daren would happily lean on Axel or he would lie on his Omega’s lap.

One thing they couldn’t do was make love. Given that when an Alpha and Omega make love, the Alpha’s pheromones will stick to the Omega, and vice versa. That was what marked the pair as mates, though not as strong as after bonding or bite.

"It’s better we avoid it first than it would risk if your annoying father finding out," Axel said while rolling his eyes in annoyance.

Daren nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he’ll be pissed and think I’m giving the family a bad name by dating an Alpha like you."

They both finally agreed not to do it until the time was right. Daren didn’t want Axel to suddenly get kicked out of the family mansion and they couldn’t see each other again.

Therefore, they minimized the risks that might occur.

Axel drove to a restaurant where Daren would have a meeting with a television program with other actor. Daren didn’t know what program had invited him, but they said it was a new program and they wanted him to be their first participant.

"A new television program? Are you sure you can trust them?" Axel asked.

"They’re from channel SS27, isn’t that a pretty big channel? That’s why I believe in their offer," Daren replied.

They both wondered what kind of program Daren would be participating in this time. After all, this was his first television program. He thought this could be a ladder for him to climb his career instead of doing something stupid like the offer Hans had made.

They arrived at the restaurant and Daren was directed to a special room that had been rented for them.

Upon entering the room, there were two Betas, a man and a woman who owned the program.

"Mr. Daren, please have a seat. And is he your bodyguard?" the woman asked.

"Yes, he’s my bodyguard. He usually stands near me, so please allow him to be in this room," the Omega replied.

"No problem. Mr. Bodyguard, there are more chairs here. You can pull one out for you to sit on," said the man.

But Axel refused and would just stand behind Daren.

The two Betas then introduced themselves as Ruby and Chen. They were in charge of the television program that Daren would be participating in and asked him to wait for one more person to be his partner later.

’Partner? What program are they actually making?’ Axel thought suspiciously.

Ten minutes later, an Alpha came into the room and sat next to Daren.

"Sorry I’m late, my car had a flat tire. So I had to change it first," he said.

"No problem. Well, everyone is already here, so we’re going to explain about the television program we’d like you to participate in," Ruby said and asked the Alpha who had just arrived to introduce himself to Daren first.

"My name is Zach Morgan, you must be Daren, right?" he introduced himself while extending his hand.

"Yes, my name is Daren Harry Wyne. Nice to meet you, Zach," Daren said shaking the Alpha’s hand.

After they were introduced, Ruby and Chen explained that Zach and Daren would be joining a new television program called Under One Roof.

"Under One Roof?"

"Yes, it’s a program where you guys will live under the same roof in the same house for a week. So it will be a real time program that records your daily lives while living together," Chen explained.

"L-live together?!" Daren gasped in shock.

He had no idea that he would be playing in a program where he would be together with an Alpha for a week.

"That’s right, all your activities will be recorded by cameras installed in every corner of the room except the bedroom," Ruby added.

"Oh yeah, you two don’t have lovers yet, do you?" she asked.

"No, I don’t have one. I wouldn’t mind following it either," Zach replied.

They then turned to Daren, leaving him at a loss for an answer. He was already Axel’s lover, but their relationship was certainly a secret. He couldn’t tell them that he was already dating.

Axel himself was very upset by this offer, but he couldn’t interfere because their relationship was a secret and this was Daren’s decision.

’But it’s all for his good, it’s all for his future,’ Axel thought even though he didn’t want to see his Omega living with another Alpha.

"So what, if this program is successful, it can also make a name for both of you," Ruby asked Daren again.

In the midst of his confusion, Axel touched Daren’s shoulder as if to signal that he could accept the shoot. Even so, he still felt a bit hesitant, but since Axel had given him permission, Daren nodded and said he would accept.

"I don’t have a mate, and I don’t mind this. I expect your cooperation, Zach," he said.

"Yes, and so do I."

Seeing that both of them had agreed, they signed an agreement that they were okay with being filmed in real life for Under One Roof.

After signing the contract, they finally left the restaurant to prepare themselves because they would be doing it at a resort near the beach quite far from North Zondalia.

They were leaving in 4 days and Daren had to tell his mom about it.

On the way home, Daren tried to talk Axel out of it, hoping he wouldn’t get upset.

"Hey, I know you don’t like it. I was going to say no, but you said it was okay to go along with it," he said.

"Because there’s no clear reason you can give them. You can’t tell them about our relationship. Then what are you going to say?" Axel asked.

He also knew that he would not be able to be in the house to be with Daren. So he would stay with the crew, watching from the other side through the monitors.

"Avoid excessive physical contact, don’t stare into his eyes for too long, don’t inhale his pheromones, don’t..."

"I see, you’re very jealous, aren’t you?" Daren chuckled.

He then kissed Axel’s cheek while the man was driving, making their car swerve.

"Hey, I’m driving!"

"I know, but I just wanted to tell you that you don’t have to worry about that. I’ll take care of myself!"

Axel sighed and tried to refocus on the road.

"Alright, I trust you."
