Chapter 45: A Surprise

After a long conversation between Daren and Axel, the Omega finally returned home with Axel. Daren tried to remain patient with the current situation, knowing that if he left he would definitely be sought after by his father.

Of course he would get into even bigger trouble.

The man would wait until the right time like his bodyguard said.

He also tried to improve his relationship with Ivan, because a few days earlier he had refused his invitation to take him to the room.

"I’m sorry Ivan, I shouldn’t be angry with you. You didn’t do anything wrong, but I was too sensitive," Daren said.

"It’s okay, it’s not your fault either. I was even surprised when your father called me to come on stage. There’s nothing wrong in this," Ivan replied as he took both of Daren’s hands.

He then hugged his best friend and rubbed his back. Even so, only Axel still disliked Ivan even though he had no particular reason to hate him.

"I hope no one will ruin our friendship again, because I know you will feel lonely without a friend Daren."

"Yes you’re right, but now I have Axel with me too. He’s like my friend now," Daren replied.

Knowing that, Ivan immediately turned to Axel and looked at the Alpha. The two of them stared at each other which for some reason Axel felt he realized something from the look in Ivan’s eyes.

It was as if the man was saying, "You shouldn’t have done that."

But he didn’t say anything, as Axel felt it was better to remain silent.

"Thank goodness if everything’s alright, I’m glad to see that Young Master and Mr. Ivan are friends again. I hope things will get better," Mike said kindly.

"Yes, you’re right," said the young master.

Since Ivan had to go to work since he had a meeting to attend, Ivan excused himself and left the Wyne Family mansion. Daren himself had a photo shoot scheduled for the Omega clothing model magazine.

As usual, he and Axel went to do the photo shoot.

"Be careful on the road young master!" Mike said with a small wave.

Watching the two of them leave, Mike was silent as if he didn’t know what else to do. Daren had other friends besides him, and sometimes he even felt like he was forgotten.

He sighed softly, muttering something and looked at Deren from behind.

"You’d better get ready."

At the photo shoot studio, Daren was made up as usual by the make up artists. Axel stood in the corner of the room watching Daren. The room wasn’t that big so he could keep an eye on the whole room which only had him, his employer, and the make up artist.

"You look very handsome Mr. Daren, I’m very impressed with you. Are you interested in an Alpha like me?" asked the female makeup artist who turned out to be a female Alpha.

"Oh that’s right, you’re an Alpha? No wonder your body looks so strong and tall. So far I’ve never dated an Alpha female," Daren replied with a chuckle.

Female Alphas did have pheromones that were not as strong as male Alphas. Unless they released their pheromones intentionally, it would be obvious that she was an Alpha female.

However, they are usually distinguished by their body shape. Alpha females look more dominant and also taller than Omega males. Even so, Alpha males still look down on Alpha females even though they are both Alpha.

Considering them taller and more dominant as rulers.

"Do you want to try it?" the makeup artist teased and looked at the mirror. Looking at the reflection of Daren’s face in the mirror.

In the mirror, he could see Axel staring at her for asking Daren out on a date. She gasped in shock and couldn’t understand why the bodyguard was staring at her.

"Oh you want to go on a date with me? Hehe... Sounds interesting, I..."

"Ah no, I’m just joking around. Hahaha... I’m sorry about that," the female Alpha said with a laugh. She cut Daren off because she was afraid of the gaze of his bodyguard.

Of course it made Daren feel surprised, even though previously the woman had looked happy when Daren responded to her invitation.

Until Daren’s photoshoot finally began, he posed well in front of the camera. Not only alone, he also did it with other models.

"You look good today too," whispered an Omega model, who was photographed with him. "Unfortunately, I’m sure I’ll be the only one taking center stage in the pages of the magazine."

His blue eyes glanced at the Omega next to him, as if he didn’t quite understand why the Omega had to say that, as if he was better than him.

"I don’t know, maybe that’s what you think. But it’s all determined by how fashion lovers see it. Whether the clothes fit your body or actually fit me better," Daren replied.

"Oh so you’re saying that this style of clothing fits you better than me? It’s more suitable for an Omega like you?"

Daren shrugged his shoulders. "I’m not saying it like that. But if you think so, then fine."

Axel himself was busy watching from behind the photographer. He noticed how Daren smiled in front of the camera. He also did not forget to pay attention to their surroundings, it could be that the same strange man he had seen during filming was in that place too.

After the photo, Daren approached Axel as he continued to be watched by Omega who had taken a photo with him earlier.

"He’s really annoying. Joan says that he’s much better than me. Just look at him, if he’s that much better he should have received a photo shoot from a much more famous magazine."

The blonde Omega was pouting at Joan’s words.

"Sometimes people don’t realize their position. Let’s go back to your room, you still have other clothes to wear right?"

He nodded and went back to his room to change and get groomed.

But when Daren opened the closet where the clothes he was going to wear later were, they were all damaged and cut and oiled. The man cried out in surprise, causing some of the staff to enter his room. They were also shocked to see that all the clothes that had been given to him for the shoot that day were damaged.

"What? Who did that?!"

The bodyguard growled in annoyance and looked around them. He found a woman wearing a hat and mask among the staff.

Realizing she was being stared at by Axel, the woman ran away. But of course, the Alpha immediately chased after her.

"Don’t run!"
