Chapter 760: Chapter 760: Coming for the Potion

The syringe had no text labels and its color was different from the P1 or P0 version of the potion.

"Ka ka ka..." As soon as he took out the syringe, the halved forearm he was holding automatically split open, revealing a twinkling small instrument at the wrist after the metallic parts peeled off, the green light flickered twice, and the entire hotel suddenly became hazy!

After an instant sensation of falling, Xu Huo found himself back in the hotel again, but as soon as his feet touched the ground, a strong gust of wind whizzed past his neck. Dodging the attack, he heard a command, "Disarm your weapon!"

Involuntarily, his hands loosened, and the instrument and syringe both fell towards the ground. By the time he regained his senses and tried to retrieve them, a net-like device suddenly appeared on the ground, neatly scooping up both items.

Looking up, Old Zheng and Old Eagle, who should not have been near him, were now blocking his path front and back.

Xu Huo’s eyes chilled as he was about to make a move, but the instrument snatched by Old Zheng flickered sharply twice again. The next second, the hotel became hazy once more; two seconds later, it stabilized again. As the environment changed, noises of a chaotic fight came from outside the hotel, making it clear to the three of them that they had returned to the Corpse-Hiding Hotel!

The instrument held by Old Zheng emitted a puff of white smoke and self-destructed, while he himself immediately barged into a room next to him and ran towards the window, instructing Old Eagle, "Kill him!"

"Vacuum state..." Old Eagle had just reached out towards Xu Huo, but before he could finish, the man who had been standing in the corridor had already blinked into the room. An air barrier was immediately erected between them. The devices Old Eagle used afterwards were ineffective, and by the time the barrier disappeared, Xu Huo was already chasing Old Zheng out of the window.

The distance from the hotel’s top floor to the ground was at least nearly a hundred meters. After Old Zheng jumped out of the window, he used a suction cup device to hang himself on the outer wall of the hotel. Like octopus legs, the two suction cups clung to the wall and moved downward. Old Zheng didn’t expect Xu Huo to come out so quickly. Seeing that the latter jumped down without any protective measures, he punched the glass of the floor below and jumped back in through the broken window.

Following closely behind, Xu Huo grabbed a piano wire with one hand and stepped on the window frame with the other, using "Important Call", he swung his sword horizontally at the moment the other party raised one hand!

"Ding!" Sword Qi was blocked by an inconspicuous metal piece. Old Zheng, who had run to the doorway, turned and shouted at him, "The bind of morality!"

Xu Huo blocked with an air barrier, and in the moment he averted his eyes, Old Zheng had already disappeared from the doorway.

Old Zheng’s expression was not as relaxed as before, and after a brief pause, his face grew even uglier.

"Can’t use the tickets?" Xu Huo, holding the "Eye of the Deceased", looked at him coldly. "Let me make it clear to you, unless you die, you’ll never escape this instance!"

As his words were about to fall, the distance between the two men was only a stone’s throw. Old Zheng seemed to have grown accustomed to his speed and pushed off the ground to soar backward, while tossing out something that looked like a scroll. The cloth that stretched out in an instant blocked the entire corridor.

Unfortunately, the device didn’t hold for two seconds before it was sliced through by Xu Huo’s sword. Watching Old Zheng fleeing ahead, he raised his hand to use "Writing Strength".

Old Zheng, with his back turned, twisted his head in a strange position at that instant—his body continued to run forward, but his head involuntarily turned back and seemed to get stuck, unable to turn around; his eyes could only stare fixedly at Xu Huo!

Xu Huo saw his own figure cast a trailing shadow as he produced a bubble blower from his hand, casually waving it to release countless bubbles that instantly filled the entire corridor and obscured the vision between both parties.

Five seconds passed, and Old Zheng saw Xu Huo within the bubbles, losing his target and standing guard on the spot. Old Zheng let out a cold smile and grabbed a strangling cord to loop it over his head!

The cord automatically tightened, dragging Xu Huo toward him. Old Zheng cautiously kept his distance until Xu Huo’s legs, kicking against the ground, gradually lost their strength. Then he slowly said, "I thought you were more formidable..."

The cold blade of the Sword pierced through his chest, its bloodied tip appearing in his line of sight. Old Zheng looked down, opened his mouth to first cough up blood, and incredulously turned his head to find another Xu Huo standing behind him at some unknown time!

He seemed to want to say something, but the blood choking up in his mouth took away his last chance.

Xu Huo withdrew his hand, casually pushed the man down, picked up the strangling cord that, in reality, had caught nothing, and delivered another sword strike, putting an end to Old Zheng for good.

After the man drew his last breath, Xu Huo received a game notification but only after searching did he realize that there was no green Potion among the loot!

Quickly reviewing the recent events in his mind, Xu Huo leaped onto the windowsill, looked out, and saw Old Eagle, who was supposed to block his path, already running two streets away with Lin Zhenhuai, while the whereabouts of the others were unknown.

Turning around and jumping backward from the hotel, he quickly plummeted from the upper floors of the building, grabbing the "Upright Chair" just before landing, and after a smooth descent, he didn’t even glance back at the now deserted hotel, heading straight for the gates of Museum City.

He had miscalculated; Old Zheng and Old Eagle had split up earlier, one to distract him and the other acting as bait, apparently having already moved the Potion. These people claimed they were here for the high-level items, and while that might be partly true, most likely they knew about the S-Version Drug and wouldn’t have passed it on so quickly otherwise.

The two minutes it took to kill Old Zheng were enough time for these people to disperse and flee.

Although Xu Huo could not be certain whether the item retrieved from the puppet’s arm was the S-Version Drug or not, he certainly wasn’t about to let something he had obtained be taken away by others so easily.

Now, whether or not these people had Tickets, they would definitely have to pass through the main gate to get out.

He dashed across the rooftops of the shops, but after only a couple of steps, it felt as though he suddenly stepped on some sort of trap. Looking down, he saw nothing on the ground, but his right foot was as if clamped by an unseen serrated object, immobile from front and back.

"Hee hee! Another fat lamb!" Two players in strange garb jumped out from beneath the shop, laughing viciously as they approached him.

With a light tap on the "Universal Lubricant," the invisible item on his foot was dislodged. He grabbed the long sword swinging towards him with one hand, then turned his head to look at the player. The moment their eyes met, for some reason, the other player just stood still and was neatly decapitated.

One corpse fell, and Xu Huo turned back to look at the other person.
