Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 661: I Have Some Good News

Chapter 661: Chapter 661: I Have Some Good News

Everything went smoothly thereafter, and once they passed the third fence, it meant they had left Country X.

"After we cross that stretch of woods, we’ll be there," Bald Head said, revealing a hopeful expression.

Throughout the journey, Girl in the Painting kept sneaking glances at him. Finally, unable to hold back any longer, she asked, "Why do you want to leave Country X?"

Bald Head glanced at her, "The same reason you do, why else?"

Girl in the Painting was shocked and turned back to look at Xu Huo.

Xu Huo pressed his hand down to signal her not to say too much.

Crossing the mountains wasn’t particularly tense, so the young player started chatting with them, "To be honest, I really like Country X. Where else is as stable as here? But the players of Country X don’t welcome me. I have no choice but to return to my homeland, to at least visit my elderly mother."

"What’s so good about Country X?" Bald Head said with disdain. "All the resources are controlled by the Special Defense Department, and ordinary players don’t stand a chance. You work your ass off in the game only to come back and be suffocated by Special Defense Department players."

"They talk about doing it for the country, for the family, but the game is so dangerous. I don’t even have the freedom to do what I want. I’m a player, why should I live like an ordinary person?"

"You could always make a fuss," the young player said with a smile. "Go blow up the Special Defense Department."

Bald Head choked on his words, "All the good gear is in the hands of the Special Defense Department, how can ordinary players compete with that?"

The muscular man relaxed his arms, "The Special Defense Department’s gear is also fought for by people in the game. If you’re envious, go rob it yourself in the game. Betraying your own country over this, you’ll be cannon fodder in any country, loser!"

"What did you say!" Bald Head was ready to charge at him instantly, but the muscular man simply pulled out a gun and aimed it at him. The coward immediately chickened out and barely managed to save face, "Special circumstances, I won’t argue with you!"

The muscular man scoffed disdainfully.

Yet, the young player wrapped an arm around Bald Head, still smiling, "Don’t be so petty, man. We all got out together, we’re friends. Friends should get along with each other."

Bald Head pushed his hand away, "I don’t have friends."

The young player shrugged and stopped talking to him, instead circling around Girl in the Painting, "Sister, where are you from? How old are you? What’s your job? You’re really pretty..."

Xu Huo stepped in to separate the two, telling the young man, "Focus on walking properly."

The young player backed off automatically upon seeing Xu Huo’s gaze and hurried to catch up with the two foreign players in front.

"Don’t talk to strangers without care," Xu Huo warned Girl in the Painting, "They could be con artists."

Girl in the Painting wasn’t very interested in talking to the young player either, so she nodded her head in agreement.

The group crossed the mountain and fully entered foreign territory. As they walked through the woods, the young player murmured, "How come there’s no one here?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a hundred people surged from the surroundings, the lights shone brightly, and guns were pointed at them. Someone yelled, "The four of you are surrounded. Any move will be regarded as a provocation against our military. Now follow my orders, raise your hands high...!"

Four people?

The group of four turned around, but Xu Huo and Girl in the Painting were nowhere to be seen.

A few hundred meters away, Xu Huo was hiding up in a tree. He didn’t come down until the military had taken the four of them away, then he called for Girl in the Painting, who was bored enough to be sticking to the tree bark, to leave with him.

From there, he no longer needed to lower his speed but continuously used Straight-Line Distance to quickly head towards the city.

He had fake documentation courtesy of Zheng Liang, so passing through wasn’t a problem, and his purpose for this trip was to catch a flight to Country Y.

It was a flight dispatched by Country Y specifically to pick up a group of either rich or powerful individuals. After confirming the time and place, he hijacked one of them, disguised himself as the other person, and boarded the plane.

"Welcome aboard, Mr. Qi. Please feel free to choose your seat," the flight attendant said, taking his carry-on luggage and warmly guiding him to his seat. After he sat down, she brought him a drink.

Bearing a strange, wealthy appearance, Xu Huo casually flipped through the magazine in his seat. After takeoff, he glanced at the two passengers at the back of the cabin before closing his eyes to rest.

Two hours after departure, Xu Huo opened his eyes.

An additional person had taken the seat in front of him, dressed in a dark coat, wearing leather gloves and sporting a Small Beard, giving the appearance of a gentlemanly middle-aged man.

"Awoken, sir? Did you rest well?" the middle-aged man placed a snow globe with a Crystal on the table, tinkling music began to play, but it didn’t seem to draw the attention of the other passengers.

"Don’t mind it; it’s just a little gadget that won’t allow others to disturb our conversation," the man introduced himself, "My name is Cabey Knicks."

"That name is quite famous in Country Y," Xu Huo raised an eyebrow, "Rumored to be Country Y’s top Rank-C Player."

The situation in Country Y was not like that of Country X. Whether it was to suppress the frequent outbreaks of violence or to boost national morale, expanding the influence of elite players was essential. Thus, Country Y had long established an internal player ranking list. Cabey Knicks was a well-known figure on it. He was originally a rich businessman in electronics technology, later joining the government of Country Y, becoming a covert player. Out of sight but not out of town, his legend persisted in the forums where many speculated that as Country Y’s chosen player, he might have gone on to challenge Player Levels. Amongst players, his call to fame was the highest.

"That’s a joke. Becoming a Rank-C Player in such a short time? Even twenty hours a day of dungeon grinding wouldn’t be enough," Knicks said with an amiable smile. "I have a question I’d like to ask you to clarify, sir."

Xu Huo gestured for him to proceed.

"I’m responsible for the security of this flight. Could you inform me where the real Mr. Qi might be?"

"He’s in a hotel, probably will sleep for another two hours," Xu Huo said calmly, taking a sip of his drink. "You have time to send someone to pick him up now."

Knicks nodded, "I’ll send someone to confirm his status shortly."

"How should I address you, sir?"

"My surname is Yu."

"Mr. Yu, what is your purpose for traveling to Country Y?" Knicks asked courteously, "Please don’t misunderstand; I’m only asking to avoid delays to the flight. If you can’t specify your purpose, the plane may have to return. I believe that’s something neither of us would like to see."

Xu Huo put down his drink, "That should be good news for you. I have a deal I’d like to discuss with you."

"Not now, but after we arrive in Country Y."

"If you don’t want to discuss it this time, we could always set up another time."

There’s always a next time if the first doesn’t work out; he was quite open about it.

Clearly understanding what he meant, Knicks continued, "Would you mind if we land the plane at our military airfield?"
