Chapter 38: That is no conversation!

Chapter 38: That is no conversation!

Chris had forgotten he told Rachel to meet him in the court when she was done meeting her academic advisor for something... academic. Obviously.

He had asked her to come with him to watch the practice he had been invited to by Rain for two reasons.

One, he knew she admired Rain. Whether it was because she was Sky’s twin or not, he didn’t exactly care. Two, he didn’t think it was a great idea to go alone. Besides, Sky had told him to stay away from his sister, so going alone to meet her would cause problems.

Yeah, he knew he had also made up his mind to focus on Rain instead of her brother, but he just couldn’t help it sometimes. It was like you could not think about one without thinking about the other. They were twins for a reason.

Back to Rachel, Chris didn’t bother to consider her when he went in the other direction while reminding himself that he was only here to tell Sky not to leave the dorm since he would leave instead.

But when he got to the door of the gym room, he could not bring himself to go inside. He hesitated by the door for a while before he realized what he was doing and let out a laugh.

Was he being serious right now? He almost slapped himself. This attitude he was displaying now was really beginning to piss him off.

Returning to his usual confident self, he opened the door and entered the room filled with shirtless jocks busy working out.

The gym was big but not so impressive. He hadn’t been expecting it to be either. The equipment didn’t look as new and sophisticated as the one in his home, but then again, he wasn’t expecting it to be.

"You look like you’ve never seen a gym room before. What do you think? Impressive, isn’t it? We got some new equipment recently. See that treadmill over there? Real dope!"

Chris looked at the weird shirtless dude, who had mistaken whatever look he had on his face for admiration.

When the boy noticed Chris wasn’t sharing the same enthusiasm as him by contributing to the conversation, he looked at him and adjusted.

"Are you here to look for someone or sign up?" The boy asked with his hands on his waist.

"Sky."

"Sky?" Confused, the boy looked up.

"Sato."

"Oh... that sky! Come on in."

He said to Chris, who was already inside, by the way, and pointed at a door in the far right corner of the room.

"Take that door, go straight down, and then to your left. He’s probably in the storage room."

Chris said his thanks and took the route he was given, trying hard not to fill his lustful eyes with all of these pretty bodies littered everywhere.

He briefly wondered whether Sky was not wearing a shirt just like the others, but he pushed that thought out of his head when he saw the door he believed was the storage room and opened it.

He had expected a tiny room that was dusty and had tons of dirty supplies but was surprised to find a rather spacious room that was neatly arranged. One side had different kinds of supplies on a big shelf, while the other side had tables and looked properly organized.

Sky was busy preparing something and had his back to Chris. From the look of things and the sound of a blender, it seemed he was making some protein shakes.

And no, he wasn’t shirtless. In fact, he was still fully covered. He wore joggers and a big sweater. Again! Seriously... does this guy ever reveal a little bit of skin?

Well, he did last night. And suddenly, his brain glitched, and he saw Sky standing there in the outfit he was dressed in last night.

He could imagine his bare thighs and everything else he had revealed last night that he always kept hidden in all these clothes he always wore.

He decided right there.

He was attracted to Sky. And there was nothing he could do about it.

The only way to handle it was to not pretend he was not attracted to him. Because the more he tried to lie to himself, the more it bothered him.

"You said you weren’t interested in the gym."

Sky’s voice snapped him back to his senses.

He had thought he was still imagining when Sky twirled around and looked at him since he had still been imagining Sky in the outfit from last night.

He didn’t even know when the blender was turned off.

Chris looked at Sky, who was giving him a questioning look with his hands folded across his chest.

"I came to see you, actually." He said as he entered the room and closed the door behind him.

Sky gestured with his hand, asking Chris to go on.

"You do not need to leave the dorm." Chris went straight to the point.

"I will." He said dismissively and turned around to resume what he was doing, filling up different little bottles with the protein shake he had made.

"We are still talking," Chris said as he went closer to Sky, who didn’t bother to spare him a glance or stop what he was doing as he gave Chris his response.

"We aren’t going to have this conversation. Leave if you are done."

"I came here to have a conversation with you!" Chris snapped. He had never met anyone so difficult in his entire life!

"That is no conversation!" Sky turned to look at him.

Chris had never seen him look this pissed. Well, maybe he had seen part of it this morning, but he wasn’t used to Sky being like this with him.

"It is a decision you made on your own. A decision you stupidly made. There is no conversation here." Sky said pointedly. So stay comfortably in the room. You’ll barely even see me when I move my things out."

Sky turned his back to him once again and continued what he was doing, but Chris was determined not to let him win this fight.

He put his hand on Sky’s shoulder and made him turn around to face him.
