Chapter 629: Chapter 628: Hope Not Found

Night, the capital city.

Devin King stood respectfully behind three super-powerful masters with a large group of people, and he occasionally glanced up at Paisley Kirk, who was tucked under the arm of the female cultivator. At this moment, his temples throbbed; that was Yusuf Zuck’s woman, and now she had been captured by the female cultivator!

"Where is he?" the female cultivator turned around and swept Devin King with a cold gaze.

After they left Dragon Spring Villa, they went straight to find Devin King. As for the monsters in the capital, they did not continue the slaughter, for there was no need. Those Blood Monsters had no inner cores, so killing them would be more trouble than it was worth.

"I really don’t know." Devin King grimaced, ingratiatingly saying, "He left the capital with people four days ago, no clue where he went!"

"Where are his family members?" The female cultivator kept probing Devin King with her Divine Sense. Someone with her level of cultivation would know if someone lied to her, so she was certain that this man called Devin King, this agent of Dragon Group, did not know where Yusuf Zuck was!

"His family members... I don’t know either." Devin King glanced at the young nurse and cursed inwardly. His family members had been captured by you, hadn’t they?

"Don’t know? I don’t want to hear those words again. If I hear them once more, then... all of you will die!" The female cultivator’s murderous aura was sky-high as she spoke with an ironclad certainty.

"Yes, yes, yes." Devin King nodded repeatedly.

"So, where are his family members?" the female cultivator repeated her question.

"No..." Devin King barely opened his mouth and then dared not continue, concurrently grimacing, "Senior, the one you’ve captured is his family, isn’t she?"

"What?" Upon hearing Devin King’s words, all three cultivators were momentarily stunned.

"This woman? She’s his family? What is her relation to him?" the female cultivator asked in surprise.

"She’s one of his women." Devin King answered, steeling himself.

"Hmph." The female cultivator snorted angrily: "So he was the one who deflowered her, he deserves to die!"

"Yes, yes, yes, he deserves to die." Devin King continued nodding.

"So she’s his woman!" The other two male cultivators took a deep breath.

"What’s her name?" The female cultivator thought for a moment and asked.

"Paisley Kirk."

"Oh, where are the other family members of Yusuf Zuck? Who else is in his household?" one of the male cultivators asked.

"Yusuf Zuck has a stepfather and a stepsister, neither of whom are in China, and they don’t have much of a familial relationship. He has a few other women, and that’s about it; he’s unmarried with no children!"

"He has a few other women? Were those three from before all his women?" the female cultivator exclaimed with bright eyes.

Devin King’s sweat started flowing, what exactly did these three want to do!

"Why the rush to capture his people? Let’s split up and look for him," one of the male cultivators suggested after thinking: "We are limited on time; the goal is to find him. Devin King, right? Describe Yusuf Zuck’s appearance, his Cultivation Level, and any distinctive features he has!"

"Yusuf Zuck should be about the same height as you, senior, very young, yet quite composed, with long hair, sword-like eyebrows, and his most distinctive feature is the Innate Realm. Oh yes, he always carries a sword with him!"

"Right, that sword!" The three master cultivators’ eyes shone brightly; wasn’t the sword the reason they were here?

"Good, then let’s split up and go our separate ways. We only have three days. Junior brother, go south, junior sister, go southwest, and I will go northwest. First, we’ll search the entire land of China, and if he’s not there, we’ll search abroad."

"Alright, no time to delay, let’s go!" The three nodded to each other and soared into the sky, extending their Divine Sense to its fullest as they began searching separately.

...

Meanwhile, Yusuf Zuck was on the run with Miles O’brien. Although Miles wanted to collect Ariel Higgins’s body, Yusuf didn’t agree and instead carried Miles and ran without a destination in mind, just wanting to leave the capital.

Fleur Carson had shown up at the Prince Spring Villa with a group of people, but when he saw Ariel Higgins’s body lying in front of the main building, he almost collapsed on the spot.

His entire body started to tremble. Hadn’t he told her to leave the capital? Why had she returned to Prince Spring Villa?

"Miles O’brien, Paisley Kirk..." Fleur Carson called Miles’s mobile, and, surprisingly, it went through.

However, the ringing came from the second floor window—the phone had been left upstairs.

Fleur leaped to the second floor, only to find three mobile phones in the guest room, belonging to Miles O’brien, Ariel Higgins, and Paisley Kirk.

"Search for them, search for them," Fleur Carson trembled all over. Ariel Higgins was dead, and both Miles and Paisley were missing; it felt as if the sky was falling.

While ordering others to search the villa, he also called Yusuf Zuck.

However, Yusuf’s phone wasn’t turned off, it was out of the service area.

Yusuf was indeed out of the service area; he was deep underground. Forget mobile signal, not even Divine Sense could locate him.

After his subordinates had searched the villa for half an hour to no avail, Fleur tried to calm himself before calling Dream Morrow once more.

"Turn off your phone, you and Sara’s phones right now, and tell the old master to turn his off too—don’t turn them back on!"

"Got it, what happened?" Dream asked urgently.

"Dragon Gate masters have come looking. Just turn off your phone," Fleur didn’t want to elaborate, nor did he want to worry Dream and Sara, so he hung up after speaking. He then called Marlon Shepherd and his wife, Mila Vazquez.

An hour later, Fleur drove Ariel’s body to the hospital morgue. As he left the hospital, he remembered Yusuf, so he called Yusuf’s number!

Fortunately, Yusuf’s phone was still on.

"Mr. Carson, don’t say anything, don’t ask anything. I am with Master Miles; she’s been frightened and may be a little out of her mind, now very irrational. I am taking her to a safe place," Yusuf was extremely loyal; he just wanted to protect Miles O’brien.

"Where are you? Where are you taking her?" Fleur immediately became excited; Miles was still safe.

"I don’t know, don’t ask me, I’ll call you when we’re in a safe place," Yusuf didn’t want to say more, as he no longer trusted anyone.

Fleur didn’t say anything else either, and the two hung up just as Devin King’s call came in.

"Fleur, have you contacted Yusuf? Have you gotten a hold of him? Something big has happened—they’ve taken little Paisley..." Devin King spoke in a soft yet urgent tone.

"What? They’ve taken Paisley?" Fleur’s ears buzzed with the news; it was as if the sky had fallen, a major disaster indeed.

"I haven’t gotten a hold of him. Where are those three people?" Fleur asked through clenched teeth: "Can you kill them?"

"Kill them? All three can fly, traversing a thousand miles a day. I don’t even have the courage to look them in the eye. Currently, they’re splitting up and searching for Yusuf in three different directions. What are we going to do?" Devin was truly anxious; after all, Yusuf was a friend, and he was worried for him now.

"Let’s hope they... don’t find him," Fleur all of a sudden let out a breath. If they were indeed three high-level masters, then Yusuf would undoubtedly die if found, so he hoped that they wouldn’t find Yusuf!
