Chapter 628: Chapter 627: Newlyweds
The Qilian Mountain range spans east to west, stretching for thousands of miles. Yusuf Zuck took Ruth Wilcox to the southwestern area of Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, deep within the Qilian Mountains. The terrain here was high and valleys deep, with a unique landform and treacherous, bizarrely shaped rocks.
Actually, he had no idea where the serpent demon was located; searching for it was merely out of curiosity. Finding it or not didn’t really matter; his main intention was to practice cultivation in the mountains.
Carrying Ruth Wilcox, he flew over several ravines that were utterly impassable to humans. Then, using telekinesis, he scanned an area of over thirty thousand meters within the mountain’s belly. Ultimately, Yusuf Zuck landed with Ruth Wilcox at the base of a remarkable cliff.
From a distance, even when standing atop it, the cliff didn’t seem particularly notable. However, Yusuf Zuck’s telekinesis had revealed that beneath the cliff was a hollow space not carved by humans, but naturally formed.
He circled the perimeter and finally opened a hole in a thin spot. After allowing the murky air to escape, he entered with Ruth Wilcox, who was both tense and curious.
The cave was very dark, but with the help of a strong flashlight, its interior reflected light from many places.
"Ah, are these stalactites?" Ruth Wilcox exclaimed excitedly upon seeing the inside clearly.
"I’m not sure, but there are definitely crystal stones inside, or perhaps other minerals. Also, this cave winds underground, there’s water, and it’s comfortably warm. How about we stay here for a few days?"
"Whatever you say, as long as you’re with me, I’m happy to be anywhere," Ruth Wilcox said blissfully. Having just become a bride, she was completely won over by Yusuf Zuck. He, the old workhorse, had cultivated her fallow land.
"Then I’ll set up the tent and the cooking gear!" Yusuf Zuck laughed heartily, putting down his backpack and beginning to set up the tent with Ruth Wilcox naturally lending a hand.
The two set up their beloved nest on a flat area, and after the field stove was also in place, Ruth Wilcox took out spare water and noodles, thought for a moment, and grabbed two eggs, then started cooking noodles.
After further investigating the cave and finding no dangers, Yusuf Zuck walked confidently towards the distant waters of the Underground River.
The underground water was clear to the bottom and flowed slowly. The riverbed was sandy, and Yusuf Zuck followed the flow using telekinesis.
Moments later, he discovered that the river’s outlet was between some steep cliffs, forming a small waterfall which then converged into a clear stream!
"Can we drink the underground water, like mountain spring water?" Yusuf Zuck’s eyes lit up as he scooped up and gulped down a handful of water.
It tasted sweet and refreshing. The water was free of bacteria or parasites and was all-natural, with a slight sweetness reminiscent of Farm Nash’s mountain spring.
"Hmm, the water is drinkable, and there’s even a stream over there that will surely have fish in it. Plus, there are all kinds of wild fruits and game in the mountains and our own provisions are plentiful. Thus, staying here for half a month without resupplying shouldn’t be a problem!" decided Yusuf Zuck, set on making a half-month stay here.
Shortly after, Ruth Wilcox’s noodle soup with poached eggs was ready, and she called Yusuf Zuck over to eat. After their meal, he took her for a stroll by the Underground River and shared his plans.
"Can we bathe in this river?" Ruth Wilcox was untroubled; having come with Yusuf Zuck, she was prepared for any hardships.
"It’s just a little cold," Yusuf Zuck reminded her.
"How deep is it? Are there any water monsters?" Ruth Wilcox asked further.
"The water is flowing; its source isn’t here, so it’s only waist-deep. As for water monsters? I’m right here, haha!"
"I’ll get you, you big water monster! I’ll get you, you big water monster, I want to take a bath..." Ruth Wilcox and Yusuf Zuck began frolicking by the water.
Later, Ruth Wilcox undressed, turning her back to Yusuf Zuck. Her perfect, intricate curves appeared and disappeared intermittently. Yusuf Zuck sat on the bank, admiring her like a stunning oil painting, his eyes practically on fire.
She stood barefoot by the water, the depth reaching her knees, and continued walking further in.
The water was chilly, but its cleanliness and clarity were worth it. Ruth Wilcox was a girl who loved cleanliness, so she preferred to bathe even if it was a bit cold!
"You should come down and wash too—no peeking!" Ruth Wilcox called out loudly, her back to him.
"I’m watching openly and honestly, okay?" Yusuf Zuck chuckled, stripping off his clothes and running into the water.
The water was indeed cold but still bearable.
In fact, during this season, the temperature of this underground water was higher than that of the streams outside. Here it was a constant warmth while outside it was chilly.
After washing each other in the water, they both crawled back into the tent and into the same sleeping bag.
Since neither of them was wearing anything, naturally, there arose an inexplicable restlessness between them.
However, Ruth Wilcox restrained herself, and Yusuf Zuck also tried very hard to do the same, because Ruth Wilcox knew that Yusuf Zuck really couldn’t engage in that sort of thing anymore—should his body catch fire, it would be troubling.
"When we return to the capital, I’ll resign and become a full-time housewife," Ruth Wilcox shifted Yusuf Zuck’s attention.
"Why think so? This doesn’t sound like you," Yusuf Zuck asked curiously.
"Before, I was a maiden, but now I’m a woman with a man. My man is like an immortal, capable and powerful. For me to do something for money would be superfluous. Thus, staying with you every day and keeping you tied to my side is what’s most important—to prevent you from fooling around!"
"If possible, I’d like to have three children, preferably two girls and one boy, but I’m just not sure if you can still have kids..."
"Who says I can’t? Just watch..." Yusuf Zuck glared, his body getting restless too.
Ruth Wilcox laughed, dodged, and shrank away non-stop.
"I know you’re formidable, okay? Let’s just say you’re formidable and leave it at that," Ruth Wilcox said after a while of fooling around. "And then, we never part until our hair turns white, watching our children grow up. That’s the truest wish of this little woman!"
"Of course, I won’t bother about your Louise Garretts or nurses, as long as we’re not together. Aren’t you capable of flying? Then just put in the effort, flying here and there yourself."
"Weekends could be for appropriate gatherings, where the whole family could sit down for a good meal and watch a movie."
"Then could we perhaps..." Yusuf Zuck whispered the suggestion Ariel Higgins had made a few days ago, about the four of them joining forces to release their frustrations!
"Are you crazy? Not even the Emperor would dare do that; how can you? Don’t you value your life? Can your body even handle it?" Ruth Wilcox pinched him hard.
"I’m not an ordinary person, okay? I’m an immortal, who has cultivated the way of merging Qi. I also have telekinesis, the power to control everything. So don’t talk about four, even forty wouldn’t be a problem!"
"Oh really? You want forty, huh? Once we’re back in the capital, I’ll lock you in a pigsty, and you can sleep with a bunch of pigs. Don’t ever come looking for me again after that!" Ruth Wilcox said angrily.
"No, no, I was just joking," Yusuf Zuck chuckled, his caresses of her relentless.
Night fell, and surprisingly, the cave was quite warm. Although they didn’t do anything, they still both broke out in sweat. Ruth Wilcox was already feeling unbearably hot and itchy with desire but could do nothing about it, so she pushed him out of the sleeping bag, telling him not to come any closer to avoid getting overheated.
Although Yusuf Zuck left the tent with a smile, he felt a deep sense of guilt. He and Ruth Wilcox were newlyweds, but what kind of newlyweds couldn’t love each other passionately, even unable to engage in that kind of activity?
Feeling somewhat sorry for Ruth Wilcox, he stepped out of the tent and ran towards the forest of stalactites ahead. He had to cultivate, accelerate his cultivation. Once his realm advanced, he would be able to enjoy the pleasures of family life!
