Invisible Security Guard
Chapter 149: The Ferocity of Fleur Carson

Chapter 149: Chapter 149: The Ferocity of Fleur Carson

The capital city, 10 p.m., a chilly breeze.

Fleur Carson got out of the taxi and changed into a high-end suit, holding in her hands a big bunch of bright red roses and a bottle of tea.

Yusuf Zuck didn’t know what mysterious plan Fleur Carson was up to, but she told him that these were props.

Moreover, Fleur Carson had repeatedly told him not to go upstairs because he could not even watch what was about to unfold.

Yusuf Zuck figured that since Fleur Carson was involved, there probably wouldn’t be any major issues, so playing the role of a temporary driver would be enough. Of course, although his mouth agreed, he still wanted to turn invisible and follow to see what was happening, as he had to make sure nothing went wrong.

At 10:07 p.m., Fleur Carson, dressed in a suit, wearing glasses, and carrying a big bundle of roses, went upstairs. Before heading up, she also adjusted her expression, trying to make herself look happy.

Yusuf Zuck was very curious about how Fleur Carson would interact with several scumbags, so as soon as he saw her disappear into the stairwell, he immediately turned invisible and followed.

Fleur Carson walked briskly upwards and, upon reaching the fourth floor, directly knocked on room 402’s door.

"Dong, dong, dong—" Her knocking was quick and rhythmic.

At the same time as she knocked, the man in the duckbill cap and his five-person team jolted up inside the room.

By now, they had finished eating and were sitting together discussing the specific steps for their operation.

"Shh—" The man in the duckbill cap made a gesture for silence, then quickly approached the door and peered through the peephole.

It was a young man, very refined, holding a big bunch of flowers and calling out.

"Who are you looking for?" the man in the duckbill cap asked with a frown.

"Hm?" Hearing the voice of the man in the duckbill cap from inside while knocking, Fleur Carson suddenly froze, then her face turned ugly, "Who are you? Winter, open the door, why is there a man inside?"

"Pfft—" Yusuf Zuck, hiding under the staircase, almost laughed out loud upon hearing Fleur Carson’s words; so this guy was also a master at acting.

A brief silence fell inside the room, clearly, Fleur Carson had thrown the man in the duckbill cap off.

"You’ve got the wrong place, the previous tenant moved out," after thinking it over, the man in the duckbill cap replied, truthfully. The apartment had only been rented a few days, and now a man in a suit delivering flowers had come along, so obviously, the man in the suit wasn’t aware that the previous tenant had moved out.

"You’re lying to me, open the door, Winter, open the damn door, why are you doing this to me!" Fleur Carson banged on the door, pounding and pounding, appearing somewhat hysterical.

"You’ve really got the wrong person; there’s no Winter here," a woman’s voice also emanated from inside, the only female among the six-person group of the man in the duckbill cap.

"Open the door, you still trying to deceive me, open the door, Winter, if you don’t open this door and explain yourself, we’re not done..." Fleur Carson continued pounding on the door, seemingly having lost all reason and not listening to any explanations from inside.

"Sorry, but you’ve got the wrong person," the man in the duckbill cap, who was highly vigilant, hadn’t opened the door for Fleur Carson so far.

"You’re still trying to deceive me, huh? Giving me a green hat, and still trying to fool me, is that it? Just you wait, don’t you go anywhere!" While speaking, Fleur Carson pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number.

With a "creak," before Fleur Carson could finish dialing, the door was pushed open, and the man in the duckbill cap and the woman appeared in Fleur Carson’s line of sight.

They really feared this maniac bringing a crowd to cause a scene, so they let this madman in to have a look around, to confirm his Winter was gone and get him out of there as soon as possible!

Upon seeing the door open, Fleur Carson paused for a moment, then rushed inside, shouting as she did, "Winter, you come out..."

"Pfft, pfft, pfft, pfft, pfft—" As her shouts rang out, Yusuf Zuck also heard muffled pops mixed in with her voice, the sound of a silenced pistol firing, which was quite muffled and not small in noise but was drowned out by her yelling.

"Bang—" The door, which had been ajar, was promptly closed following the six gunshots.

Yusuf Zuck’s telekinesis immediately probed into the room, and then he saw six bodies lying on the floor, drenched in blood.

Fleur Carson fired in bursts, and the six men in duckbill hats were all shot in the forehead!

He was too fast. His gun-drawing speed, his striking speed—astonishingly quick, he perfectly executed his assassination operation.

Yusuf Zuck marveled to himself, the ferocity of Fleur Carson was simply not something a few rookies could withstand.

Meanwhile, at this moment, Fleur Carson was quickly slipping on shoe covers. Indeed, he pulled out some shoe covers and put them on his feet, the kind worn by water delivery or air-conditioning technicians to prevent leaving footprints and keep the floor clean.

Fleur Carson gently placed a flower by the door while also quickly searching the bodies. He searched them one by one, tossing all suspicious items he found into a large food bag.

After searching the bodies, he began looking for the men’s cell phones, plane tickets, identity cards, and even grabbed the laptops left on the table.

Then, Yusuf Zuck saw him tear down the curtains, rip the blankets off the beds, and gather the six bodies into the center of the room.

In the end, he twisted open the bottle of black tea he had been holding in his hand and poured it on the curtains, blankets, and the bodies of the six men.

After taking a glance around the entire room, he struck a match and gently tossed it. In a ’whoosh,’ the curtains, blankets, and six bodies ignited into flames.

Yusuf Zuck swallowed hard, thinking to himself, what defines professional—this, this is what defines professional.

"Creak—" Fleur Carson came out, locked the door, and hurried downstairs.

Yusuf Zuck had run out ahead of time, and the two dashed back to the taxi almost flying, and then Yusuf Zuck drove while Fleur Carson began removing his clothing and shoe covers.

"Job done. Find somewhere deserted to burn these clothes and their personal belongings," said Fleur Carson after changing, his voice even.

"Everything okay?" Yusuf Zuck asked with concern.

"What are you referring to?" Fleur Carson asked, puzzled.

"The fire, you set a fire. You’re not going to burn down the whole building, are you?"

"Huh?" Fleur Carson’s eyebrows shot up, "How do you know I set a fire?"

"I saw something that looked like a fire inside from outside," Yusuf Zuck explained.

"No problem, it won’t really catch. The fire department will arrive soon," Fleur Carson shook his head.

"That’s good," Yusuf Zuck nodded.

"Damn it, pay up. I don’t do charity work!" Fleur Carson cursed suddenly.

"Don’t rush about the money; the job’s not done yet," Yusuf Zuck said with a smile. "Those men were just hired killers. We still need your expertise for the real boss."

"No, separate issues. Give me the money first. I’m dead broke recently."

"Okay, how about I give it to you tomorrow night? There’s a big job tomorrow night. We’ll split the loot, and we’ll all get rich together!"

"Forget about getting rich, I’m not cut out for luxury," Fleur Carson joked for a while, then relaxed back into the seat, wondering aloud, "Who’s behind these guys? They can’t be simple characters, right?"

"Hmm..." Yusuf Zuck pondered for a bit and then shook his head, "Forget it, I wouldn’t feel safe sending you alone, so let’s not talk about it for now."

"Yo, sounds like it’s quite a challenge, but I love a good challenge. Come on, spill it!" Fleur Carson said, curious.

"No more talk about this, we’ll put it aside for now. But don’t take my sister’s situation lightly, and remember, everyone’s involved tomorrow night—we’re going treasure hunting!"
