Chapter 1486: Saint Heir
Chapter 1486: Chapter 1486: Saint Heir
"Supreme Evolution, the most important disciple, granted an audience with the Elder Heart!" Saintess Maria’s words were like a thunderclap, leaving everyone utterly stunned.
What is Supreme Evolution? It’s a transformation so profound it alters even the bloodline itself, or rather, it purifies the bloodline, turning it into a higher-level life form—one significantly more powerful than any of the current members of the Blue Blood Clan.
Of course, there might be countless other benefits too; otherwise, it wouldn’t be called Supreme Evolution.
As for the "most important disciple," that’s easier to explain—essentially, it refers to a direct protégé of the Elder Heart, one who is favored and regularly receives instruction and teachings from the Elder Heart.
Regarding the qualifications to meet the Elder Heart, if Ivy Frost weren’t considered a Supreme Evolution, then her arrival today would not qualify her for an audience with the Elder. At best, the Elder might acknowledge her existence, before leaving her to train alongside everyone else with regular opportunities to meet him in the future.
But clearly, things are different now; on just her first day, she’s granted an audience with the Elder.
One must know that the Elder Heart is a transcendent being, unlike the Saint Master, who spreads doctrines and faith and governs the Soul World. The Elder Heart is extraordinarily mysterious, with very few ever having glimpsed his true face.
The entire Blue Blood Clan was filled with excitement, especially Willard Frost, the Clan Leader, whose arms were trembling uncontrollably. His daughter had ascended in one leap, and because of her existence, their clan might rise in rank, produce more strong members, and gain the favor of both the Saint Master and the Elder.
So how could Willard not be ecstatic?
As for the other major clans, they were a mix of envy, jealousy, and doubt, their emotions complex and varied.
"Follow me," Saintess Maria beckoned with a wave.
"Oh." Ivy Frost’s heart was pounding wildly. She hadn’t expected herself to qualify as a Supreme Evolution. All of this, however, she knew was a gift from her master.
"Take a deep breath; calm yourself." Yusuf Zuck’s voice finally sounded again. Ever since hearing about the Giant Spirit Slave’s death yesterday, he had remained completely silent, devoid of any reaction or remark, even when the mother-daughter pair shared a bed at night, whispered, and undressed. He’d had no mood to eavesdrop or admire.
An entire day and night passed before he managed to suppress his anger, resentment, humiliation, and grief.
Not resolve them, though—instead, he buried them deep within.
The Giant Spirit Slave had died to save him. And so, Yusuf suddenly realized his life, or perhaps the remainder of it, now had a renewed purpose: endless and unyielding vengeance against the ancient gods.
The ancient gods reignited his fighting spirit and thirst for blood; he vowed to kill and kill—to slaughter everything under the heavens.
Without bloodshed, his rage could not be extinguished.
But first, he must strengthen himself—he must reopen the Golden Pearl and nurture the growth of the Giant Spirit Seedling once more.
Thus, the Soul World, with its heart brimming with bloodline power and Huge Spirit Divine Power, was essential to him. No matter how difficult or perilous, he had to obtain it.
"Yes, Master. Ivy knows." Ivy Frost began walking upward, treading on empty air as she ascended. Despite progressing, she asked timidly, "Master, are you feeling better now?"
Yusuf’s mood yesterday had been terrible—she could sense it keenly.
Yusuf didn’t respond but continued speaking instead: "Soon, I will entirely retreat into silence. That Elder Heart, I fear, is no ordinary figure. Given his audacity to claim the name ’Heart,’ he might indeed possess the ability to read minds and memories. So shortly, I will erase all memories of me from you completely, and fill them in with irrelevant ones."
"Ah... How... What about me...?" Ivy Frost gasped aloud, stunned and utterly lost for words.
"Don’t worry. The removal or retrieval will only be temporary. Once we’ve evaded the Elder Heart’s scrutiny, I’ll restore your original memories." Yusuf chuckled lightly. Now residing within Ivy Frost’s body and soul, erasing her memories was effortless—he could even implant others’ memories into hers if he wished.
"Okay, okay. Just make sure I don’t forget Master completely," Ivy Frost muttered shyly.
"You won’t," Yusuf assured her with a faint smile, then promptly fell silent.
Simultaneously, Saintess Maria—the untouchably pure and holy figure universally heralded as the number one beauty in the Soul World, possessing unparalleled talent and unmatched favor, and wielding authority second only to the two ancestral figures—reached out gently to clasp Ivy Frost’s hand, laughing softly, "Sister Ivy, you’re truly beautiful. Such youthful charm, and such alluring eyes!"
"No way—Saintess, you’re the true number one beauty of the Soul World! People dream of meeting you even once, let alone learning from you—how you maintain yourself and make yourself even more beautiful each day! From now on, Ivy will cling to Saintess Sister forever..."
"Haha!" Below them, the kneeling crowd collectively gasped in bewilderment at Ivy’s remark, while Willard Frost broke into a nervous sweat, completely on edge. His daughter truly had an irreverent personality!
"Haha!" Sure enough, Saintess Maria burst into laughter, clearly delighted by Ivy Frost’s sweet words.
"Let’s go." The two advanced shoulder to shoulder toward the Golden Gateway.
But just as they were about to step through, an energy ripple emanated from the portal, prompting the Saintess to step back and leaving Ivy Frost puzzled, her gaze fixed curiously on the gateway.
"Whoosh!" A figure emerged from within the Golden Gateway.
This person was a man in his forties—unsightly and even a bit repulsive in appearance. Yet, he donned a golden crown and a red cloak, radiating an aura of discordant authority.
Upon his arrival, he cast a deep glance at Saintess Maria—his gaze filled with devouring intent, as though he wanted to absorb her into his eyes entirely, to consume her whole.
His eyes betrayed greed, ferocity, aggression, and possessiveness.
The Saintess’s gentle smile faded into a cold, solemn expression; she refrained from speaking to the repugnant man.
The lecherous man’s eyes shifted from the Saintess to Ivy Frost, brightening instantly as his icy demeanor vanished, replaced by a syrupy smile and a nod.
He said nothing, ascending in one leap to float above the crowd.
"Greetings, Saint Heir!" Everyone thundered in unison.
He was the Saint Heir—an individual of equal rank to the Saintess, beneath only the Elder and the Saint Master, widely regarded as the most ruthless in the Soul World. Furthermore, he had a peculiar background, rumored to have been brought back from the Mortal World by the Elder and Saint Master.
"Is everyone here? If so, let’s move—this Saint Heir detests idle chatter. This mission was jointly assigned by the Saint Master and the Elder. If we fail to locate the descendants of the Giant Spirit God, we won’t return. Brace yourselves to die outside—now follow me!" His tone was cold and abrasive, his words thoroughly unpleasant.
Yet no one dared show displeasure, as it was common knowledge that the Saint Heir was remarkably favored and immensely powerful.
The Saint Heir led a hundred men, departing swiftly in flight, possibly exiting the Soul World entirely. Ivy Frost stuck out her tongue, muttering, "He’s terrifying."
"Hmph, don’t pay him any heed. Stay far away from him in the future—never let him approach you. He’s exceptionally dangerous!" The Saintess snorted coldly as she stepped through the Golden Gateway, followed closely by Ivy Frost.
Meanwhile, hidden within Ivy Frost’s body, Yusuf Zuck nearly bit his own tongue off.
Because... because... that Saint Heir was...
"This can’t be possible!" Yusuf muttered in disbelief.
