Chapter 1485: Supreme Evolution
Chapter 1485: Chapter 1485: Supreme Evolution
The team of twenty from the Blueblood clan set out early the next morning, of course, with an additional member, Ivy Frost.
The group of twenty-one still used the Flying Horse Sedan from the previous day. Yesterday, the sedan wasn’t very large, only capable of seating three to four people. But early today, when Willard Frost blew a breath, the sedan rapidly expanded, allowing the twenty-one of them to sit inside without feeling crowded at all.
The sedan traveled at lightning speed, yet it still took nearly a full day of flying to reach the so-called base of the Sacred Mountain.
By this time, the sky was growing dark, and gazing upward from the foot of the Sacred Mountain, one could see the mountain radiating thousands of beams of golden light.
This was the sacred ground of the Sacred Mountain, the dwelling place of the Ancestor of Souls and the Saint Master. The mountain itself was home to countless experts, making it fair to say that all masters from the Soul World originated here.
The Soul World contained five tribes. The Blueblood clan ranked last among them, whereas the Blood Race ranked first, the Birdman Clan, second, followed by the Diamond Wolf Clan, third, the Holy Spirit Clan, fourth, and finally, the Blueblood clan ranked fifth.
The five tribes lived in the five distinct regions of the Soul World, sometimes interacting, but occasionally engaging in wars or intermarriages.
Though they coexisted within a single world, where there are people, there is conflict. In a household with too many members, factions will arise, let alone among five different tribes.
"Oh, Willard, you actually brought your youngest daughter? Did she come for sightseeing?" As the Blueblood clan members disembarked from the carriage, an egg-headed middle-aged man holding a wooden staff approached.
At this moment, there were many people gathered at the foot of the Sacred Mountain, as teams from all five tribes—twenty members each—had arrived, making the total count one hundred...
Wait, no, it was one hundred and one, thanks to the addition of Ivy Frost.
"What did you say?"
"Hmph, who we bring along is none of your concern."
"Do not approach us." The experts of the Blueblood clan stepped forward in unison, glaring at the egg-headed man with the wooden staff.
This egg-headed man was none other than Nikolai Cayet, the Clan Leader of the Holy Spirit Clan.
The Holy Spirit Clan had never gotten along with the Blueblood clan.
"Oh my, my, Blueblood youngsters, has your Clan Leader never taught you to respect your elders?" Old Cayet remarked mockingly with a smirk.
"Enough, Old Cayet, I’m not here to argue with you. This is the sacred ground of the Sacred Mountain, the place of cultivation for the Ancestor and Saint Master. What kind of decorum is this to quarrel here?" Willard said coldly.
Old Cayet pursed his lips. "I’m just curious, why would you bring your youngest daughter?"
"Haha, bringing my Ivy naturally serves a purpose. Haha." Willard laughed heartily, clearly feeling smug.
At that moment, amidst Old Cayet’s odd expression, the summit of the Sacred Mountain suddenly surged with golden light, and from nowhere, a grand golden door appeared, towering in the void.
Simultaneously, the golden door began to slowly open, and one by one, samurai clad in golden armor leapt out, arranging themselves neatly into two rows.
"Wow~" As the golden-armored samurai finished lining up, a foot extended out from the golden door.
Everyone was startled when they saw the foot emerge—it was a woman’s foot.
"Wow, wow~" Before the crowd could react further, the owner of the foot stepped forward.
A tall, striking, golden-haired woman with a captivating smile graced her way forward. She wore a white evening gown and adorned her neck with a vibrant jewel necklace. Even her hands and part of her arms were adorned with netted silk gloves.
As everyone took a good look at her, many remained dazed, enchanted by her mesmerizing smile. Soon after, the five Clan Leaders and several elders from the five tribes knelt on one knee and loudly chanted blessings for the Saintess.
The Saintess!
The Sacred Mountain had a Saintess, and the Soul World had one Saintess and one Saint Heir. However, neither were born of the Ancestor of Souls or Saint Master—they were selected from among the five tribes of the Soul World.
The current Saintess hailed from the Birdman Clan and was named Maria. She and the Saint Heir oversaw all matters of the Sacred Mountain, even the entirety of the Soul World.
Everyone knelt, many trembling with excitement—after all, a chance to see the Saintess was rare.
Particularly the members of the Birdman Clan, whose cheers and shouts surpassed all others, given that the Saintess was one of their own.
Saintess Maria walked step by step through the void, stopping and standing ten meters above the crowd. Sweeping her gaze over everyone, she smiled and said, "The Saint Master is very pleased with your loyalty and efficiency. Soon, the Saint Heir will lead you out of the Soul World and arrange trajectories to other planes. However, I am here to pick up little Ivy Frost."
The Saintess seemed exceptionally kind, maintaining her smile throughout, finally pointing to Ivy Frost, kneeling among the crowd.
Ivy Frost opened her mouth slightly, casting a glance at her father.
Willard, with a triumphant expression, nodded firmly toward Ivy Frost. In truth, he had already contacted the Sacred Mountain the day prior; otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared to bring Ivy Frost here directly.
Meanwhile, Clan Leader Nikolai Cayet of the Holy Spirit Clan furrowed his brow, filled with puzzlement. He couldn’t understand why the Saintess would come personally to pick up the young girl. Of course, he knew who the girl was—the mischievous little princess of the Blueblood clan.
"Little Ivy Frost, you may rise now," Saintess Maria continued.
"Oh, alright," Ivy Frost responded mechanically, standing up.
"Hmm, may I see your Light of the Soul? I need to confirm its grade and determine what level it is!" Saintess Maria said with a smile.
"Oh, the Light of the Soul has levels? What grade would mine be?" Ivy Frost asked innocently. As she trembled slightly, the Light of the Soul surged forth from the crown of her head.
"Wow~" From above her head, a golden halo materialized, and at that very moment, Clan Leader Cayet’s mouth fell open.
The little princess of the Blueblood clan had spontaneously undergone evolution, manifesting the Light of the Soul!
Everyone gasped. The odds of spontaneous evolution were astronomically low—billions to one—and for years, no one had naturally evolved. Normally, to obtain the Light of the Soul, the blessing of the Ancestor of Souls was required. But now, here stood the Blueblood princess, untouched by blessing, with her Light of the Soul born naturally!
Everyone glanced at Ivy Frost, then focused their attention back on Saintess Maria, as the Light of the Soul had grades, and they needed the Saintess to assess its level.
At this moment, Saintess Maria seemed startled as well, narrowing her eyes and studying the golden light atop Ivy Frost for a long time before exhaling and saying, "Yours is a naturally evolved Light of the Soul. Its brightness, density, and soul power have all reached their peak. Thus, it must be... Supreme Evolution. It is the highest grade of Light of the Soul!"
"I will take you to meet the Ancestor. You may very well be the first person in the history of the Soul World to have independently achieved Supreme Evolution. Congratulations, you shall become the most important disciple of our Sacred Mountain!"
