Chapter 1484: Chapter 1484: Mother-Daughter Night Talk
The Blood Race clan meeting was concluded, and the twenty individuals tasked with carrying out the mission were finalized. To fulfill the sacred task given by the Saint Master, all clans in the Soul World had mobilized their elites. The Blood Race was no exception, with the Clan Leader, Willard Frost, personally leading the team, accompanied by eight Heavenly Kings, while the rest were warriors from the Heavenly King Realm.
Willard Frost gave everyone a night to prepare, as the group would depart for the Sacred Mountain early the next morning.
That evening, Ivy Frost was summoned by her mother for a heartfelt conversation, and her mother intended to leave her with instructions before their farewell.
Her mother, one of Willard Frost’s concubines and known as "Lady Ming," resided in a luxurious palace attended by countless servants.
When Ivy Frost entered Lady Ming’s palace, the first things she noticed were hundreds of new outfits, along with an array of food and delicacies.
"Wow, so many beautiful new clothes, so much delicious food, and look at these, these, these! Mother, you’re the best!" Ivy Frost exclaimed with excitement when she saw all the stunning outfits and exquisite food, leaping with joy. She immediately grabbed two pieces of pastry and began eating enthusiastically, showing none of the poise of a proper lady.
"Slow down, slow down; all of these are for you to take along." Lady Ming walked over to Ivy Frost, held her hand, and said with a hint of reluctance, "Tomorrow, you’ll be living in the Sacred Mountain. It’s very different from home; there are many rules, and there won’t be anyone there to pamper or protect you anymore. So you mustn’t throw tantrums or be arrogant. Remember, anyone who trains at the Sacred Mountain is an elite from their respective clan with status and standing."
"Your aunt is cultivating within the Sacred Mountain. Earlier, I sent her a letter, so you’ll likely see her once you arrive tomorrow. She’ll look after you."
"However, aside from your aunt, you mustn’t trust anyone at the Sacred Mountain—not your uncles, cousins, or anyone else. They can’t be trusted."
"And absolutely make sure to heed the words of the Ancestor. Whatever the Ancestor instructs you to do, you must do it."
"Is the Ancestor male or female?" Ivy Frost blinked her wide eyes and asked, "People outside say the Ancestor is male, but others say the Ancestor is female. I asked Father, but he wouldn’t tell me and even scolded me, warning me not to ask such questions."
"They say the Ancestor and the Saint Master perceive the heart of heaven, knowing the thoughts and actions of all the Soul World’s billions of citizens. Is that really true?"
"Silly child." Lady Ming playfully tapped Ivy Frost and smiled, "The human heart is the most complicated thing. Not even we know what we’ll think next, so how would anyone else know?"
"Then is the Ancestor male or female?" Ivy Frost persisted.
Lady Ming shook her head, "I don’t know either. In fact, your father doesn’t know. Even though he occasionally meets with the Saint Master or the Ancestor, neither ever appears in their true form. Your father told me that in their presence, he doesn’t even have the courage to lift his head, let alone tell whether the Ancestor is male or female."
"Coward!" Ivy Frost pouted.
"Don’t laugh at your father. The cultivation level of the Ancestor and the Saint Master naturally brings a pressure that not everyone can withstand."
"I understand, Mother. I’ll remember your advice—I’ve grown up now, and I won’t throw tantrums, act spoiled in front of others, offend anyone, or get into conflicts with others. I won’t bring trouble to you or Father!"
"My little girl has truly matured!" Lady Ming said emotionally, embracing Ivy Frost.
"Then I’ll return now. Tomorrow morning, I’ll bid you farewell again before setting off." Ivy Frost bowed to Lady Ming.
"No leaving tonight! I have so much more to say to you. Come to bed; let me hold you properly." Lady Ming took Ivy Frost’s hand and led her to the bed.
Ivy Frost was taken aback, flustered because she had a "master" residing within her soul—a male—who was aware of everything happening between her and her mother.
But as she froze in her thoughts, her mother had already removed her outer clothes, revealing short silk shorts and an inner gown.
The inner gown was made of premium silk, making her look particularly... particularly alluring.
"Why are you just standing there? Take off your clothes! Are you embarrassed now?" Lady Ming teased with a laugh.
Ivy Frost’s face turned red as she wished deeply to hear her master’s voice, providing her with guidance on what to do.
But her master seemed to be asleep, saying nothing.
"Mother, you have such a great figure," Ivy Frost blurted out.
"It’s because I take good care of myself. Now, hurry up and get on the bed." Lady Ming, still wearing her shorts and inner gown, climbed into the covers and beckoned Ivy Frost to join her.
Left with no choice, Ivy Frost took off her outer garment, leaving herself dressed similarly to her mother. Her face flushed red as she slipped into the covers beside Lady Ming.
"You’re sixteen now. With your looks, once you’re at the Sacred Mountain, you’ll undoubtedly be one of the top beauties, attracting many young men who will pursue you and profess their love."
"Mother..." Ivy Frost blushed deeply at her mother’s words.
"No need to be embarrassed. I kept you here tonight to talk about things only women understand." Lady Ming whispered softly, "If boys pursue you, you mustn’t promise them anything recklessly. You’ll need to examine their character, personality, and family background carefully. If any of these three aspects don’t meet the mark, you mustn’t approach them."
"Also, never act impulsively, and above all, don’t give yourself to anyone physically. This stage of your life is when you’ll yearn most for love, so don’t be swayed by sweet words into giving your body to someone. Remember that your body belongs only to your future marriage partner. If you lose yourself prematurely, you’ll suffer countless hardships in the future!"
"I understand, Mother..." Ivy Frost replied with a glowing red face.
"Do you really understand? All you do is play around. Sometimes, I wonder if you even know what losing oneself means..." Lady Ming teased, playfully hitting Ivy Frost.
"Mother, can we not talk about such topics?" Ivy Frost pleaded, embarrassed.
"It’s just the two of us here; what are you shy about? I’m going to tell you—all losing oneself means is..." Lady Ming, feeling just as awkward but determined, leaned in close and whispered a long explanation into Ivy Frost’s ear.
"Oh, this is so embarrassing! Mother, please don’t say any more!" Ivy Frost dove under the covers.
"My little girl has truly grown up. Alright, alright, I won’t say it anymore. Come out from under the covers now," Lady Ming laughed. Ivy Frost understood the sentiment.
Her cheeks flushed red as she popped back out from under the blanket. Suddenly, her large, bright eyes blinked, and she asked, "Mother, what if I find a man in the future who doesn’t have a good family background and might even be a bad person? What would you do? Would you accept him?" Ivy Frost’s mind filled with images of Yusuf Zuck. She didn’t know what fate awaited her or whether she’d ever have a happy future.
"I might reluctantly accept it, but your father would absolutely never agree."
"Oh." Ivy Frost murmured softly.
Lady Ming grew curious, "Has Ivy already found a boy she likes?"
Ivy Frost shook her head, "No, I was just asking."
