Chapter 1483: Chapter 1483: Tragic News
In the Inheritance Hall, Yusuf Zuck, who was hidden within Ivy Frost’s body, paused when he heard the exclamations inside. Were they discussing the Giant Spirit God Race? Who were they talking about?
"Go inside, quickly!" Yusuf Zuck commanded Ivy Frost.
Ivy Frost stepped into the Inheritance Hall in haste, and as soon as she entered, everyone inside turned their heads to look at her.
"Huh?"
"What?"
"Mei’er, how did you reach the Emperor Late Stage Realm?" Everyone in the hall voiced their astonishment, particularly a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Ivy Frost—beautiful, youthful, and almost like an elder sister.
The woman strode toward Ivy Frost, her gaze sharp and unrelenting.
"Mother, Father, dear uncles." Ivy Frost bowed to the woman and saluted the others respectfully.
"Quickly, tell us—how did you reach the Emperor Late Stage Realm?" the woman asked urgently.
Ivy Frost glanced at the middle-aged man sitting in the hall’s main seat and replied softly, "Earlier, I went to Dalby Town with Father. In the town, Father captured a clansman and instructed me to bring him back to the tribe for interrogation."
"Yes, that did happen. Where is that person now?" The middle-aged man in the main seat nodded.
Ivy Frost stuck out her tongue and said, "I killed him."
"Hmm?" The middle-aged man’s brows shot up in displeasure. "You killed recklessly again? That person’s crime did not warrant death."
"It was an accident; I struck too hard and killed him unintentionally. Mei’er knows her mistake," Ivy Frost replied sheepishly.
"What does that have to do with your cultivation level increase?" the woman pressed her.
Ivy Frost continued, "After he died, I looked through his ring and found an elixir labeled ’Creation God Pill.’ After consuming it, I became like this. Also, Mother, Father, look." As she finished speaking, Ivy Frost’s body trembled lightly, and her head emitted a radiant golden light.
"Ah?"
"The Light of the Soul!"
"Heavens, you’ve acquired the Light of the Soul? Did you encounter the Heartlight Ancestor? Have you evolved?"
"Oh my god, the Light of the Soul! How many years has it been since our Blue Blood Clan produced someone who evolved? How many years since anyone possessed the Light of the Soul?"
The hall erupted with amazement, and everyone stood up. The Light of the Soul symbolized glory, nobility, distinction, and unparalleled evolution.
Those endowed with the Light of the Soul could cultivate at speeds hundreds or even thousands of times faster than ordinary people. They broke through realms effortlessly, needing only to reach natural compatibility to advance.
Furthermore, those who possessed the Light of the Soul would often rise to prominence. Usually, they’d be taken in by the Heartlight Ancestor as disciples and become protégés of his lineage.
Everyone in the hall breathed heavily. They knew that even Ivy Frost’s father had never evolved, nor possessed the Light of the Soul, nor had the qualifications to apprentice under the Heartlight Ancestor. But now that Ivy Frost had the Light of the Soul, she could be sent directly to the Heartlight Ancestor, elevating her status far above theirs.
The Blue Blood Clan was not a major clan, with its strongest practitioners only reaching the Sky Monarch Stage. Yet if Ivy Frost became the Heartlight Ancestor’s disciple, she’d likely attain the Saint rank, even the Heavenly Emperor rank, in the future.
"How... how did you evolve?" Her father stepped forward, striding up to Ivy Frost.
"It’s still because of that Creation God Pill; I consumed it, and this happened," Ivy Frost replied.
"Are there any more of those elixirs in his ring?" Her father asked eagerly.
"No, there was only one, and I burned the rest," Ivy Frost said mischievously, sticking out her tongue.
"Hoo—" Her father took a deep breath and gripped her shoulders tightly. "Good daughter, good daughter. We’ve spoiled you since you were young, yet never imagined you’d encounter such great fortune. Tomorrow, you’ll accompany me to the Sacred Mountain to meet the Heartlight Ancestor!"
"Oh, so what were you all talking about earlier?" Ivy Frost suddenly asked.
"Good news." Ivy Frost’s father, Willard Frost, a tall and muscular man, replied.
He returned to his seat and smiled, saying, "Today, we’ve received a summons from the Saint Master, a direct command. Our Blue Blood Clan must send twenty members to venture out of the Soul World."
"Ah, leave the Soul World?" Ivy Frost exclaimed. Everyone knew that the Soul World was inaccessible from outside, and neither the Saint Master nor the Heartlight Ancestor permitted anyone to go beyond its boundaries.
"Indeed," Willard Frost nodded. "Three years ago, a descendant of the Giant Spirit God Race emerged in the outside world. Though still immature, this descendant is exceptionally strong, even killing the offspring of Ancient Great Gods Javier Higgins and Ed Trujillo."
"Descendant of the Giant Spirit God Race?" Ivy Frost feigned shock.
"Yes. Right now, the Righteous Deities, Evil Gods, and various Great Gods across dimensions are searching everywhere for this individual. The Saint Master has decreed that our Soul World must locate this person first. You know, of course, that the Soul World was built atop the heart of the Giant Spirit God itself. Over countless years, only the heart’s core has retained its bloodline and Huge Spirit Divine Power, yet we’ve been unable to access or extract it."
"Moreover, every drop of blood, every piece of flesh, even every strand of hair from the Giant Spirit God is immensely nourishing for all within our Soul World."
"The Saint Master declared that if we capture the descendant of the Giant Spirit God and bring them back, each of us will receive just a single drop of their blood. With that, we’ll all ascend to the rank of Heavenly Emperor. When that time comes, we’ll sweep across the heavens and conquer the gods, free from confinement within this Soul World!"
"Thus, this descendant of the Giant Spirit God is of utmost importance to us; we must have them."
"Oh." Ivy Frost responded with an indifferent tone. Yet, everyone else breathed heavily, visibly thrilled. The Saint Master would not deceive them; the thought of receiving a drop of this precious blood was undeniably tempting.
"Ask him what happened three years ago!" At this moment, Yusuf Zuck suddenly transmitted his thoughts to Ivy Frost.
Ivy Frost acknowledged the command but did not inquire directly. Instead, she posed a circuitous question: "Why did a descendant of the Giant Spirit God suddenly appear? Isn’t there a Giant Spirit God servant by the side of the Central Azure Cloud Heavenly Emperor? Was it that person?"
"That Giant Spirit God servant is already dead," Willard Frost chuckled. "Three years ago, because of the Giant Spirit God Race descendant, the servant fought tooth and nail to break Javier Higgins’ seal. Afterward, they engaged in bloody combat with various Great Gods, ultimately dying to ensure the descendant’s escape. That Giant Spirit God servant inflicted severe injuries on Javier Higgins and others, including Ancient Great Gods Jeremiah Colon and Ed Trujillo. Three gods even perished."
"You know, for countless eons, those Ancient Great Gods who had achieved Heavenly Emperor rank seemed practically immortal. But in that battle three years ago, three were slain—Javier Higgins’ right arm was severed, Ed Trujillo lost an eye, and Jeremiah Colon’s physical body was half destroyed. The battle was nothing short of catastrophic."
"In the end, however, the Giant Spirit God servant also perished. Their blood, flesh, and bones were divided up amongst countless beings. Some of those who consumed the servant’s remains actually experienced breakthroughs in their cultivation levels—truly miraculous!"
"This time, the seven major tribes of the Soul World must each dispatch twenty members. Their tasks are twofold: to search across dimensions for traces of that Giant Spirit God descendant and to spread faith and doctrine."
"I understand." Ivy Frost replied before falling silent. In that instant, she felt an overpowering chill—a bone-deep coldness emanating from the master hidden within her body. It was as if Yusuf Zuck had transformed into an ice block, making her incredibly uncomfortable!
