Chapter 1467: Thunderclap Child
Chapter 1467: Chapter 1467: Thunderclap Child
When the battle over Blood Energy in the Giant World began, outside the spacetime of the Giant World, there stood a colossal palace. This palace floated among rainbow-colored clouds, unsupported by any ground, as though it were constructed out of thin air in the void.
At this very moment, within the palace was a grand assembly of people, numbering in the hundreds. They sat gathered around a rectangular misty pool, with stone tables placed in front of them. On the tables were fruits and wine, their delightful aroma wafting through the air, with the fragrance of the wine traveling for miles.
Among these hundreds of individuals, there were people of all sorts. For instance, there were men with beards reaching their knees, giants several feet tall, and diminutive figures shorter than a meter. There were graceful married women, as well as radiant young maidens.
Scholars sat among them, along with soldiers clad in armor. Their attire varied greatly, but all were dressed formally.
At this moment, they were sipping their wine while gazing at the rectangular misty pool before them.
Sitting at their elevated seats, looking down at the misty pool, they saw not a cloud of mist but rather an entire world.
That world was none other than the Giant World.
"Water Mark, your descendant has perished."
"Yara, your descendant has also fallen."
"But who is this androgynous one? They’re remarkably strong."
"That one called Landyn Torres isn’t bad either."
"And Hugo Olson from the Tu family is impressive—by the way, who selected him?"
"He’s my disciple’s disciple." The speaker was the man with the knee-length beard. His facial hair, which reached his knees, was enough to reveal that he was an ancient being of unknown age.
"Oh." Upon hearing the answer from the long-bearded elder, everyone’s understanding dawned. They all recalled that this figure had a disciple named Armani Olson, who was a prominent, storm-stirring figure in the Element World.
"Hehe, has everyone noticed the invisible one? Truly cunning. But who does this one belong to? Who made the selection?" Suddenly, a woman chuckled and posed the question.
The crowd all directed their gaze toward the group seated in the central area. These individuals were the hosts of this grand gathering.
The eighty-one participants of the Giant World all had specific origins, so for those unrecognized, the others could only seek answers from the hosts.
When the hosts noticed the audience’s curious stares, a middle-aged man with a green-tinged beard shook his head and replied, "This little one? I, as the Great Emperor, honestly do not know. This question would need to be addressed to the Giant Spirit Slave." The green-bearded man finished speaking and clapped his hands thrice.
As he finished the third clap, a massive figure ascended the steps outside the misty pool. This giant was over three zhang in height—more than ten meters tall. Around his body were two heavy golden chains, gleaming brightly, while his immense form exuded a towering energy—a distinct essence unmistakably belonging to that of the giants.
Indeed, this massive individual possessed the Power of the Giants. What confounded the onlookers, however, was that this being went by the name ’Giant Spirit Slave.’
When the giant reached the top of the stairs, he knelt on one knee and remained silent.
The green-bearded man smiled faintly and said, "Giant Spirit Slave, look into that pool and tell us: who is this person? What is their name, where are they from, and who recommended them?" He pointed at the rectangular misty pool as he spoke.
The Giant Spirit Slave glanced down, surveying the pool, before respectfully replying, "This person’s name is Karson Schwartz. She hails from the Heavenly Realm and was recommended by you, Your Majesty."
"By me? Uh..." The green-bearded man was momentarily stunned. Everyone else was equally astounded. What was going on?
"When did I recommend such a person?" the green-bearded man frowned as he questioned.
"It was Thunderbolt Boy who conveyed your instructions, saying that you had recommended this individual. Thus, I took it upon myself to seize her and bring her into the True Spirit World."
It turned out that the Giant World was also known as the True Spirit World, and all participants had been brought there by none other than the Giant Spirit Slave.
Raising an eyebrow, the green-bearded man let out a sudden cold snort. "Leave now and summon Thunderbolt Boy to the hall."
"Yes, sir." The Giant Spirit Slave retreated respectfully, and a moment later, a young boy dressed in juvenile attire appeared.
If Yusuf Zuck were present, he would undoubtedly recognize this individual as Thunderbolt Beads—albeit a much younger version of him.
"This servant greets the Great Emperor." Thunderbolt Beads appeared extremely uneasy, his face pale with fear.
"How dare you! Do you have the audacity to fabricate orders from the Emperor?" The green-bearded man reprimanded angrily.
"This servant knows his mistake. This servant knows his mistake," Thunderbolt Beads admitted immediately and without excuse.
Indeed, this Thunderbolt Beads was the same figure from the Heavenly Realm. How he had transformed into a child here, when he was an old man back in the Heavenly Realm, remained a mystery.
"Hmph! I’m not asking how you erred. What I want to know is why you dared to fabricate imperial orders?" The green-bearded man, now revealed as a Great Emperor, interrogated him with stern authority.
"Great Emperor, have you forgotten?" Thunderbolt Beads whispered cautiously. "The matter regarding the inheritor of the Yu God’s legacy..."
"The Yu God’s legacy?" The green-bearded Great Emperor was taken aback momentarily, blinking in thought. "Wasn’t the legacy passed on to a young woman?"
"That young woman is currently trapped within that person’s dimensional realm. She cannot be separated. And since the Giant Spirit Slave lacks intelligence, the only choice was to seize that person to fill the quota," Thunderbolt Beads explained.
"Oh~" The green-bearded Great Emperor drew out a long syllable, contemplating before asking, "What is the relationship between this person and the young woman?"
"They appear to be dual-cultivation partners," Thunderbolt Beads replied.
"Understood. That will be all. Go and allow the Giant Spirit Slave to deliver a hundred lashes as punishment for your incompetence!" The green-bearded Great Emperor dismissed him with a wave, then turned to the others with a wry smile. "It’s a case of using a rotten yam to fill the granary, a mistaken capture. Karson Schwartz is a woman, but the Giant Spirit Slave, unaware whether the individual was male or female, ended up abducting this person by mistake."
"Hahahaha~" The crowd erupted in laughter. To have mistakenly captured an unexpected individual, someone not even on the list, whose strength was nonetheless formidable, provided a bizarre twist to the proceedings.
"This person exhibits the Power of the Giants. Could they also be a descendant of the Giant Spirit God?" someone suddenly speculated, their gaze sharp as lightning.
"Shh!" The mere suggestion caused everyone to collectively draw sharp breaths. The descendants of the Giant Spirit God represented an incomprehensible danger.
For example, the Central Emperor, also known as the green-bearded Great Emperor, had the Giant Spirit Slave under his control. This Slave wielded the power of a Great Emperor. If not for the Central Emperor’s specific Secret Technique to subjugate the Giant Spirit Slave, the Slave alone would wreak chaos upon the entire universe!
Throughout the world, all the powerful beings present had only ever encountered a single Giant Spirit Slave in their lifetimes. Descendants of the Giant Spirit God, apart from this Slave, were believed to have gone extinct.
Yet now, here emerged another individual wielding the Huge Spirit Divine Power. This unforeseen occurrence in the True Spirit World’s selection process was likely to set events into disarray.
"Should we intervene?" someone suddenly asked.
"There’s no way to intervene now. The True Spirit World can only be reopened eighteen days from now. We can do nothing before then!"
"Then we’ll let things play out by fate. It’s also a form of trial for the younger generation. We allowed them in knowing their lives were at stake. Let them fend for themselves."
"Agreed, so be it." Everyone nodded, as their minds had long been prepared for the high mortality rate inside the True Spirit World. They never expected all of their descendants or disciples to return alive.
...
Meanwhile, outside the misty pool and the hall, the crackling sound of a whip echoed as the Giant Spirit Slave began lashing Thunderbolt Beads.
After a full hundred lashes, Thunderbolt Beads was utterly incapacitated, unable to stand on his own. The Giant Spirit Slave had to support him step by step to a small courtyard nearby.
"We succeeded, narrowly and without incident!" Thunderbolt Beads, once inside the courtyard, communicated telepathically to the Giant Spirit Slave with Divine Sense.
"Thank you... Thank you! On behalf of my Giant lineage, I thank you!"
"It’s nothing. He’s my friend as well. Now, it’s up to his fate. I only hope he doesn’t blame me!"
