Chapter 94: We Are In No Competitions

Gregory just couldn’t believe the fact that he wasn’t having the upper hand in the Grand Development Project. To his shock, the trending sudden billionaire had bought the 60% share he left, and there was no way he could stop it after it was already approved by the Ministry of Commerce.

For the first time yet, The Dominus made a phone call, and it was to Gregory the very same day he bought the shares.

"Good day, Mr. Gregory. This is The Dominus..."

Jayden had made sure to use the voice modulation chip, which had certainly changed his voice to a different one.

"I called just to greet you. Now that we are co-owners of Kingsley Group, I figured it’s best that we become friends."

Gregory clenched his teeth as those words sank in, his eyes dark as he was still stunned by how this man bought twenty-four billion dollars’ worth of shares without even blinking. In fact, he didn’t even sound like the deal was any kind of important factor to him.

Even though he was the only one that had managed to hear the voice of The Dominus, he was still terrified.

"Ho... How did—"

"You shouldn’t be surprised, Mr. Gregory. There are surely a lot of insanely wealthy men out there watching the tycoons of Nortasia. I’m one of them, and perhaps I’ve just been the fastest one to make a move on this potential Grand Development Project of yours. I’m glad, to be frank."

Gregory shook his head, because no matter how he saw things, it just felt like The Dominus was teasing him.

"Don’t worry. The name remains Kingsley Group, and I won’t claim the title of Chairman. You can stay on, since I’m not a visible person. You should be glad that Kingsley Group is about to bloom, and you are the partner to me. Of course, you know that every single man wants my alliance with them. You should thank fate for smiling on you."

Somehow, Gregory began to feel better. The crucial factor that had restructured his mood was the fact that the name of the business empire would remain Kingsley Group. That way, people wouldn’t think he was doomed, because it would have affected his reputation drastically.

Gregory was alone in the office when Royce rushed in.

"Dad, what am I hearing?!!! The Dominus bought all 60% shares left?!" Royce asked in a stunned bellow.

Gregory nodded. "I still don’t believe it, son. But I think he’s not a tyrant. He just believes in our ideas and wants to invest. Remember, he’s the sudden billionaire. The VIREX Coin Lord."

Royce shook his head, finding it hard to go with the flow.

"Do you know what having the higher share percentage means? He’s gonna change the name of the company. He’s going to be the Chair—"

"I already talked to him, Royce! He’s not doing all of that. In fact, with the co-ownership, the rest of our companies that aren’t part of the Grand Development Project will be greatly funded and improved. Soon, we’ll be competing with the top world-class automobile companies. Not Zintech and the rest of those low-levels," Gregory interrupted.

Royce scoffed at that point. "Wait, Dad. You mean..."

"You heard me right. I’m staying on as Chairman. The Dominus, as we all know, won’t always be visible, so I’ve got the job. Besides, even with the 40% shares, we’ll be earning five times the actual amount we got before. It’s a good deal, son..."

Royce, unlike his father, wasn’t entirely happy with this. He never wanted anyone to have a higher share than his father.

This was something they hadn’t even expected in the first place, and now he regretted not thinking of something like that.

He wished his father had just bought over 50% of the shares, because that way there would be no chance of falling as the highest shareholder, but the bitter truth was that Gregory wouldn’t be able to afford it.

That was why he had left the other 60% shares open to investors in the first place.

It didn’t take long before The Core arrived to finalize the deal. Right in the headquarters of the Nortasia Ministry of Commerce, they all assembled, all dressed in gold suits.

Same masks, same hair colors.

The only difference was their hairstyles, and most significantly their names written on the badge on their suits.

Gregory, Royce, the President of Kingsley Group, the Minister of Commerce and his assistant were already waiting at the entrance when they arrived.

As they walked over, Frontline walked closely past Royce, who appeared to be admiring her.

"Hey, little boy..."

Royce’s face turned dark the moment he heard that, and he could feel the teasing smile on her face even though he couldn’t see it.

They all entered the building and went ahead with the signing and finalization of the deal, while on the other hand, the main boss decided to live his other life.

******

After not showing up for almost a week after his mother’s funeral, it was as though Jayden had gone missing.

Sabrina and Peter had both been worried since he hadn’t been picking their calls.

Even Charlotte, who was his secretary, had been unstable at work as she always brought up new excuses every day, making it quite overwhelming for her.

However, today appeared to be blessed when Jayden finally showed up.

Sabrina’s joy couldn’t be entirely expressed, as she almost went hugging him.

"Sir, I was so worried!" she said.

"What for? It’s just business and that’s all. I am fine," Jayden smiled as he spoke, giving her a reassuring look.

Sabrina had to confirm that before she felt relieved, and then she immediately moved on with the reports.

"Charlotte has been unstable. I think she is no longer serious with her job. I might be forced to fire her," Sabrina said.

"Don’t worry about Charlotte. She’ll be fine. What’s more?" Jayden replied casually, like he wasn’t really interested in that complaint.

Sabrina felt it, but she stood no chance to question him.

"The Dominus..."

Jayden furrowed his brows. "What about him?" he asked.

"He just bought 60% share of the Grand Development Project Gregory Kingsley started. The way I see things, he’s going to help boost the Kingsley Group’s economy and might overshadow us in the market," Sabrina said worriedly.

However, just like always, the boss was calm.

He didn’t even flinch, even after hearing that it was the sudden billionaire, The Dominus.

After a chuckle, all he could tell his Grand Ambassador was...

"We are in no competition..."

And in a mutter...

"Let your boss cook."
