Chapter 93: Astonishing Investment

Their meeting started with a threat that left Heston frustrated. Though he tried to stay calm and attend to the esteemed visitors, it was clear that he was going to rain his usual pressuring insults on his daughter again.

When they settled in the lounge inside the Frost Villa, Kael brought out a diamond ring and gave it to Camilia.

"You should wear this. It’s a thirty-million-dollar diamond ring... One of the few in the entire country. When anyone sees this, they’ll know you are taken," Kael smiled.

"Not just taken. But taken by a real prominent figure. That pathetic Jayden boy would surely stay away," King Arthur said as he nodded.

Kael nodded in agreement as he furrowed his brows at Cammy, urging her to take the ring.

Camilia hesitated for a moment, seeing her father’s striking gaze. For sure, she wouldn’t have wanted to take it, but in the end, she did.

It wasn’t as if she was finally succumbing to the pressure... She actually knew what she was doing.

All she had been doing here was what Jayden had told her to do.

He had told her not to be too hard on them but to stay strong on her decision. It was only a matter of time before he would ride them down, but until then, the plots would be cooked slowly, as The Dominus still had prior cases to fix.

Camilia took the ring but didn’t immediately wear it until Kael urged her to.

Somehow, she was obedient for the first time since he had been meeting her, and Kael only thought it was because his father, the king, was there.

Of course, they must have thought that the threat on their alliance had made her succumb, but there was only one person who knew that wasn’t true.

Herself.

"Now that we are done with those pests, I have decided to move on to starting the Grand Development Project."

"With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, we are good to go. Even the King of Nortasia has approved it, so there will be no obstacles in the way."

Gregory told his board in the conference room of the Kingsley Group’s headquarters.

They all nodded, glad. It was more like a reaction that sang the word "Finally."

The Vanes had been the main antagonists against these moves, and Gregory definitely knew that was why they had joined the Coles to sue them.

It was certainly their only way of stopping them, and even so, they still failed.

Gregory just couldn’t help the joy that came with that, but now he was trying to be swift to prevent another disturbance.

Royce was there in the meeting. As the future Chairman of Kingsley Group, he had to be in every meeting.

"The Grand Development Project is a forty-billion-dollar investment, one that would change our lives forever. We have made all the necessary preparations, with smart analysis and research."

"After everything, I have confirmed that I would be buying a complete 40% share of the investment, leaving 60% to new interested investors. The fact that it’s a forty-billion-dollar project makes it completely impossible for a single investor to even buy up to 10%," Gregory said.

Almost every member of the board nodded in agreement.

"That way," Gregory continued, "I will retain my title as the highest shareholder and Chairman, also retaining the Kingsley Group’s legendary name."

"We are going to rise above all businessmen in the country, raising the prominence of the Kingsley Family high above the world!"

The conference room was filled with applause after that speech, as every board member clapped passionately, giving their best reactions.

Royce was already aware of this plan, so he was the only one not reacting freshly to the information.

After the meeting, he left the conference room with his father as he tried giving new updates about Zintech.

"You said you would fix it, Father... Zintech is still rising in the market. For the first time ever, we are having as low as ten sales in an entire week," Royce said as he followed his father.

"I should be blaming you, son. You caused this!" Gregory bellowed.

"Yes, I know I did. But we have to find a way. Only you can. Everyone on campus would start seeing me as a loser if the Zintech cars beat us completely in the market," Royce said.

"It already did, you moron. But don’t worry..." Gregory entered his office and sat on the executive chair. "As soon as the Grand Development Project is successfully done, we are going to be way out of Zintech’s league."

Royce hesitated and forced a nod.

"He thinks beating just one part of our business assets would get justice for his father. Tch, poor boy," Gregory scoffed.

"So, Dad, that means we are good, right?" Royce asked, his face still slightly unrelaxed.

Gregory turned to look at him and glared.

"Come on! Just get out. You should be preparing for the big things coming up, not this. You should get married too, you punk."

Royce chuckled as he said that and muttered, making sure that his father didn’t hear, "Not done with testing all the holes around."

And then it was official. The news of the Grand Development Project spread across the state, and everyone heard about it in no time.

Jayden was with The Core in the villa on Dominion Island when he got the info from Trix. He said the news moments after and was initially uninterested until the system popped up.

[Task #01 as The Dominus (Black Level): Buy the complete remaining 60% of the shares released by Kingsley Group in the Grand Development Project.]

[Rewards: $50 Billion Dollars.]

[Note: It’s your choice to claim complete ownership superiority, but make sure this leads to your revenge on them.]

Jayden’s eyes widened. "Sixty percent of the shares? That’s about twenty billion dollars?!"

>[Trust the system.]

Jayden said no more.

Of course, he had to consider the fact that this was a true opportunity to strike against that tyrant.

He ordered Camilia to make the deal, and it indeed had brought a huge shock after everything.

The remaining 60% shares were to be licensed by the Ministry of Commerce, and then it took everyone by shock when The Dominus bought it all.

******

Gregory was in the office when he got the message.

[The Dominus has officially bought all 60% shares remaining in the Grand Development Project. The Grand Development Project is hereby completed, congratulations.]

Gregory sat there with his mouth agape, completely stunned.

At that point, he felt like he had swallowed hot air.
