Chapter 100: Kill Him
Chapter 100: Kill Him
A white yacht flew towards Dominion Island at high speed, leaving behind rough waves on the water.
There were up to six men on the yacht, who appeared to be working personnel in The Dominus’s villa.
At that point, when they were in the middle of the lagoon, one of them spotted something strange from one end.
Alfred, one of the External Affairs men in The Dominus’s villa, spotted two hands in the distance. The movements were frail, like it had been quite a while since this person had sunk in.
"Hey! Stop! Stop!!!" Alfred quickly commanded, and the driver immediately slowed down.
Alfred then showed the others what he had seen, and they were all stunned.
"Ah, none of our business. We have to head back to the fort quickly. Miss Trigger needs to get the report before tomorrow," one of the men said, turning away.
"True. Nothing happening there concerns us. It might even be a trap or something. I don’t want to die for not keeping my oath," another man said as he turned away as well.
This made Alfred’s face tighten, and his jaw dropped, seeing the helpless figure trying to cling to life.
At one point, he felt overwhelmed, and he knew he wouldn’t be able to do it on his own because the lagoon was not a mere water body to mess with.
A simple overconfidence could result in the loss of his own life, and Alfred didn’t want to die—not after finding a job that could make him a millionaire in weeks, enough to take care of his mother and siblings.
If he died, he wouldn’t die a hero...
He would die a fool.
He had to consider that before trying to turn away, until the other guys turned to him.
One of them placed a hand on his shoulder. "Wanna be a hero? Well, it would be my pleasure to assist a hero."
Alfred gave them a soft gaze, and they nodded back.
"Majority carries the vote, right? Now let’s save that fellow over there!" one of the three guys with shaky hair laughed softly as he turned to the two guys who had declined Alfred’s order.
And with that, they turned in that direction and dashed forward.
They stopped at almost the exact spot, noticing that the person couldn’t hold on anymore and had drowned, probably dead.
However, Alfred still insisted on jumping in, but they didn’t let him go until they had tied a rope around his legs, just to make sure he wouldn’t drown as well.
Alfred didn’t hesitate.
He swam in, gliding through the cold, blue waters as he followed the lady, who was now drowning, to the very bottom.
His aim was just to grab her, but he was hopeful he wouldn’t get attacked down there, because there would be no escape.
Fortunately for him, he was able to grab her before she reached the bottom and swam back up as fast as he could—not just for the sake of his safety, but for the chance of saving her life.
"Whoa! Mr. Hero did it! And it’s a chick here. Haha!" one of the guys laughed.
"Yes. This is definitely the best way to find a wife for yourself..."
"It’s simple... Find a random girl who’s drowning in the ocean, jump in and save her. There’s no way she wouldn’t fall for you after that."
"You jerks! Let’s help her!" Alfred shouted as he dropped her on the side of the yacht and began to press hard on her stomach.
"Oh, shit. She must’ve drunk a lot of shark piss!" one of them said as he rushed over.
"And shit too... It’s usually like half-melted cheese," another added.
Alfred didn’t pay any attention to their jokes and just continued trying to revive her, as she wasn’t even moving at that point.
He had been working with these men for a while and knew how they took almost everything as a joke—except the boss’s work—so he was getting used to it.
Though that didn’t mean they didn’t help out.
In fact, they helped Alfred in the process of reviving her, and soon the lady began to cough out large portions of water, and they had to make a few more presses before being assured of her well-being.
However, when she woke up, her reaction to being alive was not even close to what they expected.
Raising her head to look at Alfred’s face, she let out a faint, crackly statement that left the whole group in awe.
"You... You shouldn’t have... saved me."
And then she slumped back, this time into a deep sleep.
Alfred’s face tightened as he turned to the guys, who just couldn’t hold in their laughter, trying to tease Alfred about being embarrassed after trying to help her.
However, Alfred wasn’t even thinking about that statement. He was only curious about what made her say such a thing.
Because from what he saw, it looked like she had tried to take her own life—and saving her wasn’t something she wanted.
She wanted to die... But why?
With her on the yacht, they headed straight to Dominion Island.

The Dominus’s influence on the Grand Development Project had raised the status of Kingsley Group overnight, and surpassing several rival companies was just the start.
In under a week, Kingsley Group had topped the chart as the highest-earning business corporation in Cloudbridge City, following EC Consortium in the rankings for the entire New Wiston State.
That was a massive bang—and this was just the beginning, because truly it was. It had only been a week since the commencement of the alliance, and they had already surpassed so many.
The Dominus’s influence had even made Kings Automobile surpass Zintech, earning its place as the second-best in Nortasia.
Zintech, which had recently risen to second, dropped to third—and the bad part was that it was Kings who had brought them down.
Sabrina reported it immediately on a call, where Jayden answered as his real self, even though he was on Dominion Island.
"The sales dropped. The demand rate has also decreased. I think we’ll need to make an alliance with The Dominus, no matter how much it costs," Sabrina complained on the phone.
"Nah, we don’t need to. Let’s just do our thing. We’ll accept whatever results come. Get on with the new projects as well. Don’t reduce the workforce just because the demand decreased."
That was Jayden’s order.
Sabrina was someone who thought deeply before making a decision, but at this point, she was completely confused about what to do.
The best thing was really to do as her boss ordered, and not even suggest an opinion—because she didn’t have one anymore.
But she wasn’t happy.
Just a few weeks ago, they had beaten Kingsley Group’s automobile branch in the rankings, and now they were behind again.
Sabrina wouldn’t have wanted this to happen.
However, now she had nothing to do about it.
Although it might have been a different case if she knew the root of all that was happening...

Gregory and The Core had just finished their third meeting in Kingsley Group’s headquarters, and they settled for some wine.
Royce was there too, admiring the woman who had called him "Little Boy" some days back.
Frontline.
She was charmingly beautiful, blessed with all the gifts of a complete woman.
The sweetest part was that she was also staring at him, in a way that looked like she might be interested in him too.
Royce was so glad things were going this way, and sooner or later, he wouldn’t hesitate to steal one of The Dominus’s ladies.
That’s what he loved doing.
As they discussed, it got to a point where Jayden Cole slipped into the conversation.
The ladies were smart enough to act like they knew little to nothing about him.
"The one whose mother conspired with the Vanes to set you up?" Trix asked.
"You’re right. He’s the Chairman of Zintech Automobile. He was once ahead of us in the charts, but thanks to The Dominus, we’re far ahead of him now," Gregory said with pride.
"We’ve been hearing about that man. The Dominus has made it clear that anyone who messes with you messes with him as well. No one will dare to blackmail you again," Frontline said in a sharp tone.
"I appreciate that, Miss Frontline. I really do. And I’m so grateful to The Dominus," Gregory replied, his face bright, unable to contain the joy of now being ten times more powerful than he used to be.
"That Jayden guy has been a tough stink in my way on campus. No one has troubled me the way he has. I really want to deal with him. I don’t know if you can help me... In a way that won’t raise suspicion," Royce suddenly said.
Trigger nodded. "Hmm, what do you want us to do, Mister Royce? I mean, how do you want us to deal with him for you?"
Hearing that, Royce smiled and gave her a sharp stare, confident that she would do whatever he asked.
"Kill him."
