Infinite Harem System: I Grow Stronger From Every Female Lead -
Chapter 33: Face Slapping
Chapter 33: Face Slapping
"I will stand with Ayla’s faction," Cecilia said calmly.
"What!?"
Whispers and murmurs rippled the moment the words left her lips.
’Why didn’t she go to Ha-joon’s side? Did I cause this?’ Arthur thought. ’No... Cecilia was always loyal to Ha-joon, so what changed?’
He couldn’t figure it out.
Well, not like it harmed him in any way.
’It’s honestly in my best interest that she doesn’t join Ha-joon.’
Arthur didn’t know all the details of what was happening.
However, there was one thing he knew:
Things were starting to get interesting.
Cale Von Agres, sensing the tension, clapped once.
"Okay, everyone, I might not be the crown prince, but I am a member of the royal family." He narrowed his eyes. "So why don’t we sit out the remaining ten minutes before the test ends?"
Eric gave a nod. "I agree. The test’s over and we’ve picked sides. So why don’t we chill."
Different people began nodding in agreement.
There was no need for any more conflict.
Although not everyone shared the same sentiment.
Amidst the sixty students behind Ha-joon, a voice rang out:
"We don’t agree with this! No one even knows Arthur Arcain’s strength! Doesn’t it seem like those two are trying to shield their leader!?"
Opposition began forming quickly.
"Come to think of it, Princess Ayla completed a dungeon raid on her own, and Lord Ha-joon has done incredible things... but Arthur Arcain has..."
Before the voice could finish, the speaker collapsed to the ground.
"That’s Prince Arthur Arcain to you," Arthur said, eyes narrowing.
Whispers instantly broke out. No one had expected him to go that far.
"See, I don’t care one bit about your petty arguments, but the one thing I won’t tolerate is anyone disrespecting my family."
The same voice called out again, louder. "So what!?"
Arthur sighed. "So what?" He tilted his head. "I’ll show you the power of the demonic dragons, the strongest race."
Yes, this was the stage he had been waiting for.
He had shown the world that Amelia was his wife.
Now he needed to show them that the demonic dragons weren’t a race to be taken lightly.
They had to understand that his race was no joke.
A race of monsters. Today, he would etch that fact into every mind here and across the countless spectators watching.
"Ten!" He raised his hand, closed it, then opened it again. "Bring out your ten best fighters."
A bulky applicant from Ha-joon’s side stepped forward.
"Hey, you think you’re so special just because you’ve got an SSS-rank talent?" he sneered. "You’re nothing but a—"
Arthur activated a portion of his dragon blood, scales shimmering along his arm, nails elongating.
With a single swipe of his hand, he shattered the bulky man’s skull.
"No."
Everyone in the area froze, their eyes wide.
Fingers tensed, ready to trigger abilities at a moment’s notice.
Arthur turned to Ha-joon and locked eyes. "I said your strongest, not small fry."
Eric grinned from ear to ear.
Ha-joon paused, stunned, then grinned back. "You!" He pointed at Arthur. "You’re not half bad."
He stepped forward, summoning his sword. "You want the strongest? Then I’ll step up. These insects couldn’t even hope to hurt you."
Arthur smirked. "Wow, Young Master Peng is stepping up?" His voice dripped with sarcasm. "I’m truly honored."
He let his "color" flow through him as crystalline scales enveloped both hands, a single sharp horn forming on his forehead.
In a flash, they collided.
Energy surged and flared like wildfire.
"Run!" Cecilia warned. "Get too close, and you’re as good as dead."
Eric struggled to force a grin. "Monsters... those two are monsters."
The crowd in the spectator stands erupted with excitement.
Just moments ago, they’d been stunned into silence, unsure of what was happening, but now the fight had begun.
And this was the fight they had all been waiting for.
...
A single clash between Arthur’s dragon arm and Ha-joon’s sword obliterated the surrounding trees, creating a natural battlefield.
Ha-joon shifted stances, his force stabilizing.
He concentrated all his power into the blade’s sharp edge.
His grin stretched wide. This was his trump card.
Exactly what Arthur wanted.
He needed Ha-joon to be confident.
He needed him to go all out.
Then—
『 Your Authority: Godspell #1 has been Activated 』
Arthur didn’t dodge. He didn’t block.
He simply stood there.
BOOM!
The crowd collectively held their breath.
Cecilia was just about to yell at Ha-joon.
The noble families watching the live broadcast leaned forward, ready to comment.
Then the dust cleared, revealing a lone figure.
Arthur stood untouched at the center, his body now fully covered in golden dragon scales. His horn had grown longer.
But what stunned everyone—
Not a scratch on him.
Arthur channeled "color" into his arm. Blue light—like pure, flickering flame—engulfed one arm, while the other glowed with golden brilliance.
RING! RING!
The alarm of the sealed world echoed loudly, slicing through the silence like a knife.
The crowd burst into even louder cheers.
To the average viewer, it was a spectacular move. But to the awakened watching closely, it was something else entirely.
The candidates—no, the newly recognized students of the academy—stood speechless.
Ha-joon’s hands trembled. ’What?’ He felt the world distort. ’How is he not hurt? How can he stand there like it’s nothing.’
His breathing grew ragged. ’No! I’m the chosen one! He’s just an insect!’
"Chosen one..." Cecilia touched his shoulder gently.
"Cecilia..." he said, trying to force a smile.
She continued, "You were holding back, right?"
Ha-joon’s eyes widened like they were about to bulge from their sockets. ’What is she implying? That I’m weak? That this insect is stronger than me?’
He clenched his jaw and stepped back. ’Calm down. Yes... I was holding back so I wouldn’t hurt him.’
His fist quivered as the glowing doorway out of the sealed world began to shine.
["Amazing! This is by far the best match I’ve seen in years!"]
The voice rang out—not Janica this time, but the principal herself.
["Nice work, all of you. From today forward, you are officially students of the academy!"]
The crowd’s cheers echoed through the glowing exit.
["Now walk through the door. Your future at the academy starts now."]
