Chapter 764: Chapter 27: Newbie’s Death

The middle-aged shop manager didn’t want his gas station to be destroyed, and grabbed some Japanese Yen to hastily negotiate with the leader of the street racing gang. However, before he could utter three sentences, he was hit in the back of his head by a thug with a baseball bat and fell to the ground.

About a hundred gang members, armed with baseball bats, were rampantly wreaking havoc in the gas station. The three terrified staff members dare not resist and hid inside the building, attempting to call the police. But they soon realized that their phone lines had been cut. Attempting to use their mobile phones, they hadn’t even finished dialing when six thugs smashed through the glass and stormed in, snatching their phones and cornering them in a corner of the room.

The three high school girls were also harassed, covering their chests, their faces filled with terror as they screamed loudly.

"Brother, help us!" The girl with long hair broke into tears, she wanted to go home.

The ponytailed girl, thinking she was more worldly, tried to negotiate with a man in a tight sleeveless shirt, but he didn’t even acknowledge her, slapping her so hard it swelled her mouth corner.

Cheng Cheng was very scared, she clenched onto Tang Zheng’s leg tightly, hiding behind him. Seeing Tang Zheng, six hooligans cursed and stormed over.

"Can you keep it down? You’re scaring the child." Tang Zheng pulled a baton from his bag, flicked his wrist, and the alloy stick popped out.

"Trying to resist?" The thugs, confident with their numbers, became even more ferocious at Tang Zheng’s words. They accelerated, running towards him, swinging their baseball bats down with all their might.

The three high school girls screamed.

Tang Zheng didn’t dodge. With a swift swing of his arm, he ’popped’ the incoming baseball bat away, then ’swooshed’ the baton down onto the thug’s hand.

Amid the cracking sound, the thug’s hand bone broke directly, he screamed in pain, no longer able to hold his baseball bat.

Boom, Tang Zheng kicked him in the chest, sending him flying, then twirled his baton, knocking down the other five thugs in the blink of an eye.

The previously bustling gas station fell into an eerie silence, only the painful screams of their fallen companions could be heard. More than a hundred thugs looked at Tang Zheng attentively, with murderous glares in their eyes.

Tang Zheng remained calm. He leaned down to pick up a baseball bat, pulling Cheng Cheng towards the gang’s leader.

"Has he gone mad? Does he think he can take us all down by himself?" The thugs were puzzled by Tang Zheng’s actions. They couldn’t imagine anyone being foolish enough to do that, given the disparity in numbers.

"All of you, get lost within three seconds." Tang Zheng’s words clearly reached the thugs’ ears. They looked astonished, thinking they had heard wrong, then burst into raucous laughter.

"Brothers, beat him up." The leader roared, being the first to charge.

Tang Zheng responded simply by hurling his baseball bat directly at him, like a cruise missile, and hit the leader’s belly.

Before he had a chance to evade, the leader felt a sharp pain in his stomach, his body was knocked back, hitting several of his people, and he fell into a faint.

Tang Zheng’s attack intimidated the advancing gang members, but a few seconds later, they were charging at him again, waving their weapons and yelling.

"Stay in place." Tang Zheng instructed Cheng Cheng, then charged out again, this time unleashing full power. Consequently, the first gang member who charged at him took the brunt of the assault and screamed as he fell.

The three high school girls watched in awe as Tang Zheng, like a steamroller, charged through the crowd, causing blood to splatter, sounds of fractures were heard incessantly.

"A hundred men slaughtered? Is it possible?" The short-haired girl paused, then took out her phone to take a picture of Tang Zheng.

"Didn’t you see it? Anyway, you’re not allowed to compete with me, I want to chase him." This kind of tough guy as a boyfriend, the ponytail girl was willing to even throw herself at him.

Two thugs, noticing they couldn’t take Tang Zheng down, tried to attack Cheng Cheng from behind. They dodged the crowd and charged at her.

Tang Zheng saw this and became infuriated. He threw his baton, hitting one of them in the face causing it to be covered in blood. Then he picked up a baseball bat and threw it at the other, shattering several of his ribs.

Seeing their companions on the ground spitting blood, no one dared to provoke Cheng Cheng again.

Three minutes later, more than sixty people lay on the ground, writhing in pain and moaning. Only Tang Zheng still standing where he was. The rest of the gang who hadn’t had a chance to do anything had lost their earlier arrogance. They had retreated far, looking at Tang Zheng, whose face was calm and who hadn’t even a single hair touched, they did not dare to attack again.

"Still want to fight?" Tang Zheng bent down, tugged on a jacket, and wiped off the bloodstains on his body.

No one responded, everyone looked at Tang Zheng in surprise.

"If you’re not going to fight, then get lost." Tang Zheng had no intention of calling an ambulance. He used the baseball bat to poke a few guys with less severe injuries, "Get up, you see that Mitsubishi multifunctional commercial vehicle?"

The thugs called out, nodded.

"Go, load up the gasoline drum."

The thugs moved a bit slowly and were hit a few times by Tang Zheng.

"This guy is definitely a devil." The thugs were so abused they wanted to call the police to deal with Tang Zheng.

The three high-school girls ran over, jumping with excitement, asking Tang Zheng why he was so powerful.

"Let’s go home, it’s getting late."

The three girls nodded, got into the MPV with Tang Zheng and a gang of hoodlums only breathed a sigh of relief when the tail lights of the car disappeared on the street and then started treating their companion.

The power cut was still ongoing, despite all the policemen being mobilized, the public safety was still quite worrying. Tang Zheng had used a lot of energy just to buy beer.

"No one’s at my house, you can come over." The long-haired girl invited Tang Zheng, her eyes shyly avoiding his gaze while the other two began to cheer.

Tang Zheng glanced at the sky and agreed, the long-haired girl’s house was in Zhang Mei’s hunting zone, which was very close to Cheng Cheng’s.

"You three fill up the beer bottles with gasoline, hmm, make it a thousand yen per bottle."

The high school girls did as Tang Zheng instructed without asking why.

At the same time, the survivors began to encounter the demonic shadows one after another. Qin Yan killed one easily due to her abilities, and although Bai Guo was a bit of an idiot, his invisibility ability combined with cold weapons ensured he was safe. Housewife Xin Lan’s Ice Age ability was enough to freeze everything in sight.

Lin Weiguo, Xu Liangmao and Yu Manli, being melee ability users, had to rely on their bodies and fought hard. Although Lu Fan encountered some troubles, he was fine due to his inherent strength.

Chen Hong and Jing Xiang fled. Just one encounter with the Shadow Demon Warrior scared them enough that they didn’t dare to attack.

"Sister Meiquin, can you handle this? Or should I do it?" Yao Feng and Pang Meiqin hid in a cross junction, looking at the Shadow Demon Warrior a few dozen meters away, discussing their plan.

"There’s no need for you to get involved." Pang Meiqin didn’t want to waste Yao Feng in such a place. Besides, she also continuously strengthened her body. Even though fighting against this kind of shadow was quite strenuous, it didn’t trouble her.

Silver Trojan did give some preferential treatment to the newbies. The shadows transported into the hunting zone were all weakened by half. However, the newbies were still alarmed and panicking.

When the Shadow Demon Warrior and the squad led by Li Han bumped into each other, the warrior pulled out his iron gun and shot it. More than a dozen bullets instantly blew up the upper half of a man’s body. His head was exploded into flesh. After that, they began to disintegrate, and there was no way for them to boost morale, even though Li Han shouted at them.

The Shadow Demon Warrior chased after them, killing along the way. Once again, he fired the iron gun and a woman’s left leg was blown apart and she fell to the ground.

"Help me! Li Han, Liu Qian, help me!" The woman wailed miserably, seeking help. However, none of her former classmates looked back, they just scurried away.

The warrior reached the injured woman, drew out his field sword and placed it on her neck and then picked up her head that had fallen apart and hung it on his belt before continuing to chase after the others.

Boom! The iron cannon shot again. One of the leaders was too fat to run and was left behind. At that moment, bullets blew apart his back.

"Help, help..." The leader hadn’t even finished his cry when a shadow cast over him and then the sharp field sword slashed down.

"Don’t run in a straight line, split up, jump walls." Someone shouted and everybody immediately scattered and ran.

"A bunch of mobsters." Song Huiqiao was so angry. It was all Du Kang’s fault, the coward. If he hadn’t run first, the morale wouldn’t have been lost.

"Wait, wait for me." The last one was still one of the leaders. He deeply regretted it now. If he hadn’t been so gluttonous and often went out for social engagements, he wouldn’t have grown to be this way, and he could have definitely escaped.

Boom! The iron gun roared and the bullets tore his head apart, turning it into a rotten watermelon.

After the Shadow Demon Warrior had collected four human heads, he stopped his slaughter and started wandering on the streets.

Gu Xueqi, who was carrying a backpack full of weapons, ran with a crossbow in her hand, covered with sweat, and after a probing attack, drew the attention of the Shadow Demon Warrior and then began to lead him to a department store which had just been invaded by a gang of delinquents.

The warrior was in a rush, and the arrows from his longbow were shot out. However, they were either deviated or blocked by the backpack.

"Safe." After rushing into the department store, Gu Xueqi quickly hid and then took out a bottle of beer, lit up a cloth stuffed tightly into the bottle, and threw it out.

Clank! The Molotov cocktail shattered, and flames rose, startling the delinquents robbing the store, causing them to rush down.

The shadow entered and saw them and immediately attacked. Arrows whizzed out.

"What is this thing?" Seeing their companion being killed with an arrow piercing through his eyeball, the delinquents roared and then began to throw various pieces of debris at the Shadow Demon Warrior.

However, moments later, the delinquents disintegrated.

"We should be able to consume all of the Shadow Demon Warrior’s arrows." Gu Xueqi lit up a Molotov cocktail, smashing it at the entrance to the department store to prevent the delinquents from escaping, and then she began attacking the shadow with the crossbow.

For the whole day, Gu Xueqi had been busy, first buying gasoline and making Molotov cocktails. After that, she bought hundreds of crossbow arrows and snuck into an uninhabited house to rest and practice her aim. She could have made a homemade bomb, but the materials were too scarce, so she had to make do with less.

Gu Xueqi ran up to the third floor and, gaining a position of height, threw Molotov cocktails at the Shadow Demon Warrior. The creature’s arrows were finally used up, and he was left with only close-quarters combat, chasing after the school beauty clawing and biting, but not posing much threat.

Gu Xueqi’s Molotov cocktails burned and most of the arrows also hit the Shadow Demon Warrior. Yet, the creature hadn’t died even when she reached the rooftop.

Gu Xueqi closed the iron door and stuck a samurai sword in the doorknob against the wall. When she wanted to tie the rope, the Shadow Demon Warrior charged up. (To be continued.
