Chapter 1583 - 45: Alliance

Chapter 1583: Chapter 45: Alliance

Two Level 3 Heroes, that’s enough for the Americans to swagger around unchallenged; even if they can’t win, they are confident they can escape with their Power Armor.

The Germans only have one Level 3 Hero for Group Leader, one Level 2, and the rest are Level 1. They seem strong, but are still insignificant in front of a true powerhouse.

"It’s all Tang Zheng’s fault for killing my deputy leader!" The Group Leader was extremely frustrated. If it wasn’t for Tang Zheng’s ruthless move yesterday that weakened the team, he wouldn’t have to worry about those American guys.

"Step back!" Tang Zheng waved his hand, and everyone immediately retreated from the Battle Circle.

"I offer 500 slaves!" The German Group Leader made a quick decision, offering a price that would please Tang Zheng; otherwise, any injuries could lead to a complete Team Annihilation.

It’s too late. Seeing the Asians’ tactic of staying out of trouble, the three Americans shot out like arrows, with almost teleportation-like speed, appearing in front of them.

Boom! The ground shook, and dozens of Roman column-like soil spikes burst from the ground, splitting the German formation.

"Psychic type barrage, the rest guard!" The Group Leader threw away impractical ideas, fully engaging in battle, yelling out with a cold sweat of anxiety, realizing these guys were battle-hardened the moment they made their move.

The Group Leader prepared to withstand two by himself, with the rest targeting the Level 2 Hero. He never thought of winning, but killing to intimidate and reach a stalemate would be the best outcome. Unfortunately, things did not go as he had hoped.

"Kill that one in the back, the Psychic type!" Tang Zheng reminded, but the Germans had no strength to spare.

A surge of Psychic tides ravaged, the Americans who had entered Hero Mode ignored Tang Zheng’s group and went all out against the Germans.

The German Psychic type was only Level 1 Hero and got suppressed. They experienced a direct hit, dizzy for just a few seconds, but that was enough for them to be killed three times over.

A Level 3 American’s body suddenly melted into the ground, and in less than a blink of an eye, two hands extended from beneath the Psychic type’s feet.

"Protect me." The Psychic type knew she was the primary target and was on full alert, but she was still steadily grabbed by the ankles. She then felt a strong suction coming, her view descended, and she saw endless soil burying her head.

Soil and blood filled her mouth. Her Mental Impact was at full strength but utterly ineffective.

As a geyser of blood shot up, the Germans suffered a death.

"I offer 800 Natives, kill them for me!" The Group Leader yelled out, completely entangled and unable to execute tactics, giving the Americans enough time. A Level 3 Hero could annihilate his subordinates effortlessly, and following him meant bad luck.

"A bunch of Waste wood!" Tang Zheng did not expect the Germans to be so weak; if this guy died, they would also be suppressed, with the newly activated Newbies simply handing over their necks.

Tang Zheng targeted the Psychic type. The Gravity reversal burst forth with all its strength, followed by an Electric shot. He went berserk, pulled out the Undamaged Lake Light, released the Demon Sword, and entered his most aggressive attack posture.

"Hold on for ten seconds!" The American team leader roared, speeding up his actions, and another German fell.

The Psychic type’s Radiation fluctuated; despite the power of the Power Armor, they attempted to use Human Train Tactics, but even with the thruster at full blast, they couldn’t fly away, as if they were mired in a muddy swamp.

Xu Biyun’s puppet rose from the ground, fists clenched, slamming onto their head. Bai Guo disappeared into the shadow, Li Xinlan’s Ice Spear shot out powerfully.

Shen Jiashu released a Mental Impact, Fang Zhiwen was doing something unknown, Xie Yundan was holding a Rifle with a trembling hand, but the Shooting series ability allowed her to hit her targets without aiming.

"Ten seconds? That’s underestimating me." Tang Zheng, whose resistance to magic had increased greatly, was only dazed for less than a second; because he had released the Gravity Abyss beforehand, the Psychic type did not escape and the Gravity reversal had caused them significant damage.

A Level 2 Hero is Fight Scum against Tang Zheng.

"Not good, save him!" One American saw something was amiss but was entangled with the German Group Leader and couldn’t break free. The remaining one immediately abandoned the small fry he was facing to come to the aid of his comrade.

Columns of earth dragons soared into the sky, fiercely charging at Tang Zheng, while also spiraling to form a barrier to protect their comrade.

"Too late." Tang Zheng teleported, appearing behind the Psychic type, and struck with all his might.

The Gravity Abyss and the earth dragons were squeezed together, shattering countless amounts of soil; a warrior appeared, drew his sword angrily, and blocked the charging American.

"He..." Before the Psychic type could finish her plea for help, her head was smashed by Tang Zheng, with blood and Broken Flesh oozing out of the gaps in her armor.

The American guys abruptly ceased fighting and retreated to the side. Among the Conquerors, there are no newbies. Although they had already been doubly cautious of these Easterners, they still suffered a loss of a comrade.

"This guy is strong." The American smashed the puppet with a punch, sweeping his gaze over those Easterners who were no better than small fry. Yet this Group Leader was worth an entire team.

"No wonder the Germans are wary of them." The American cursed his complacency. He should have made them the primary target.

"What, that’s it?" Tang Zheng lifted the Hellfire, tossed the Corpse inside aside, then threw the Spoils of War into his Wristwatch.

"That’s all for tonight, but we’ll be back," the American guy dropped a fierce line and decisively retreated.

The Agate Man stared blankly at Tang Zheng, speechless, while the burly man felt a wave of relief, thankful that he hadn’t come to a head with Tang Zheng the day before. After all, Tang Zheng killed Level 2 Conquerors like killing dogs, and someone insignificant like himself wouldn’t even merit him lifting a finger.

The German Group Leader, looking at the Corpses all over the ground and left with only three subordinates, was on the verge of tears. Even if they survived this round, what to do next?

"Go, accept the Natives, choose the strong and healthy ones." Tang Zheng ignored the self-pitying German, pulled over a robust Native woman who was skillfully doing such tasks.

"Alright, it’s over, go back and rest. We still have to travel tomorrow," Tang Zheng clapped his hands, signaling everyone to disperse.

"Why not take the opportunity to kill us?" The Group Leader was puzzled, with a hint of desperation.

"Why kill you? Isn’t it good to get Natives this way, avoiding conflict?" Tang Zheng laughed, "Don’t forget, unity is what keeps us alive."

The Group Leader felt relieved; indeed, without him in the way, Tang Zheng could escape, but his men would be doomed.

"Slow and steady wins the race, killing them all at once takes too much effort." Tang Zheng didn’t want any losses, and with Germans around, it made it easier to repeat the trick with new Teams.

The Great Chief regarded the Trojan Squads as prey, dividing the allied forces into four parts for the hunt. Each part was led by a Chief comparable to a Level 4 Hero, supplemented by seven or eight Level 3s, overall a very formidable force.

"We’ll consume them when they’re utterly exhausted," the Great Chief accelerated the attack.

Each Trojan Squad, with their captured Slaves, had no choice but to flee toward the northwest. From above, they looked like disgusting patches of moss.

As time passed, more and more Trojan Squads encountered each other, some clashing and some making temporary alliances. Those who didn’t make it were already bombed by the Great Chief.

"All these preys, I hope their bones could fill up the Great Northwest Rift." The Great Chief rode a Ferocious Beast four or five times larger than an elephant, looking into the distance. He was not worried about the prey escaping, for to the northwest lay a vast Great Rift, and beyond that was the land of death. There, the magnetic field was in disarray, and any life that entered would go mad and then die.

The Agate Man was deeply worried as his Group Leader had not returned, and the burly man’s entourage began to lose their cool, subconsciously being nicer to Tang Zheng, who they saw as their fallback option. If the Group Leader died, they hoped that Warhammer Team, seeing they were fellow countrymen, would spare their lives.

"Beg for mercy? Without Natives, the mission can’t be completed, no basic Points can be obtained, and they’ll be eliminated just the same." The Agate Man felt utterly miserable, thinking that if he had followed a good Group Leader, he wouldn’t have to suffer like this.

Looking at Shen Jiashu and the other carefree Newbies, the Agate Man was green with envy.

Ignoring the anxious Agate Man, Tang Zheng was negotiating with two Trojan Squads.

"Wanna join forces?" The Russians were rough, confident, and greedy, eyeing the nearly two thousand Natives behind Tang Zheng as if they wished to claim them for their own.

The French appeared more restrained, but the occasional glimpse of killing intent in their eyes also revealed their treacherous thoughts.

Tang Zheng put on a hesitant expression, portraying the image of a timid and safety-first Group Leader to perfection.

"You’d better team up with us, there’s another thirty-thousand-strong Native allied army behind us, pretty formidable," said the Russian beauty, licking the corner of her lips and throwing a seductive glance at Tang Zheng.

The French nodded in agreement.

"Idiots, Tang Zheng can’t wait for you to join him," the German Group Leader watched those eagerly inviting Tang Zheng, laughing so hard his belly ached, "Your misfortune will come."

The German had lost too much and was now resentful towards everyone, hoping Tang Zheng would conflict with them so he could muddle through.

"Impressive," the Agate Man admitted defeat. If Tang Zheng had suggested it, he would be suspected, but now he had truly become the target, yet was regarded as weak enough to be easily manipulated.

Seeing Tang Zheng agreed, the Russians and the French exchanged satisfied glances. They had keen insights; those Easterners were too weak.

"Hmph, a bunch of conceited fools, Tang Zheng alone could wipe you all out," the burly man watched the European’s contemptuous attitude, wishing Tang Zheng would take action immediately and teach them a lesson.

Unconsciously, these people had come to view Tang Zheng as their pillar, and it couldn’t be helped, in an environment fraught with crises, a good Group Leader can greatly boost morale.

"I’ll deal with you after I’ve figured out everyone’s Strength," Tang Zheng coveted the Natives that these two teams possessed, over three thousand people—a huge piece of Cake, "Dantai, hurry up and show yourself, or else I’ll finish them all."

Those weaker Trojan Teams had all been absorbed. Those who had managed to hold out until now were not too shabby. Another day passed, and Tang Zheng encountered another allied team made up of French, British, and Swedes, numbering over five thousand.

Already harboring ulterior motives, the teams began to have more conflicts. The French were clearly the strongest, keeping the other Group Leaders uneasy. (To be continued.
