Chapter 1529 - 117: Light Gate Gamble Life

Chapter 1529: Chapter 117: Light Gate Gamble Life

The Trojan infection has deployed more than five divisions of Giant Soldiers in Babylon. They have now entered combat mode, bombarding in the direction where the survivors are landing.

The Mechanized Forces have also set out, with hundreds of war chariots roaring out from the streets and shelters, to drive these invaders away.

The Trojan Alliance has no retreat, Mutated Creatures jumped into Tokyo Bay, swimming hard to get across, the whole sea surface filled with densely packed figures.

The mutated sea creatures also followed, storming the survivors’ landing under attack.

Natasha commanded the combat, the situation was very disadvantageous for us.

"Trojan, are you sure? This is the opponent’s home field, creating an illusion to lure everyone into a trap wouldn’t be difficult!" Emily was skeptical of its judgment, considering the Space Wristwatch had always been restricted.

The Trojan fell silent because it was unable to discern the truth. This kind of silence made the atmosphere even worse.

"If it’s a Silver Trojan announcement, it would definitely charge ahead without care, and let us charge first!" Lu Fan raised the White Ivory and Ebony Incense and blasted at the mutated sea creatures.

Giant Soldiers, relying on their numbers, clashed with survivors, but their strength was insufficient after all. Casualties kept occurring, the battle line filled with Corpses and blood, occasionally seeing limbs and broken arms being blown up into the sky.

"This artificial island is not very big, I’m going to launch a mass magic spell and flatten it completely!" Natasha couldn’t wait any longer, it wasn’t a tone for Deliberation, she directly spoke out and told everybody what to do.

Emily nodded, she likewise had this intention.

"How Lucky, to witness the mass attack formations of two major teams." A Group Leader who had heard their rumors shouted out in excitement.

"Yeah, it’s said a single hit could destroy a large City, millions of people!"

Hearing this explanation, the Conquerors drew a cold breath, their opponents’ trump cards were indeed formidable.

"All Group Members, prepare the AIM Diffusion Stand One-Winged Angel System!" As soon as Natasha’s voice fell, four squad leaders took their respective subordinates and left from four different directions.

This was a city-attack, to launch it would require at least ten minutes of preparation time.

"What about your other half of the Group Members?" The Night Saint had thirteen Apostles, but only five were here, which made Natasha suspicious.

"Secret mission." Emily refused to answer; she had already noticed the anomalies in this Theme World. She had sent them out for reconnaissance, and even the information Ferrando received was intentionally leaked by them. The goal was to let the Mitochondria and them clash, to benefit as the third party, but evidently, something unexpected happened during execution.

Time ticked away, and just as the One-Winged Angel System was about to be completed, a voice as if from God thundered in everyone’s ears.

"Damn Conquerors, detestable Trojan, you all go to hell."

The sudden outburst and cursing took everyone aback; this person sounded like an insane madman, spewing various filthy words. They originally did not want to bother, hoping anger would kill him, but one sentence forced them to pay serious attention to the situation.

"I’ve had enough of this stalemate, you ants, I shall grant you the opportunity to challenge me fairly. Kill me, and you’ll obtain Spoils of War worthy of God’s envy!"

"This guy’s rambling, in this world, where is there a God?" Silver Hair’s complexion turned iron blue, the situation did not match what he thought.

Besides Tang Zheng who imperceptibly glanced at Silver Hair, no one else paid attention. Their gaze moved to the sky above the City.

Ten Light Gates, each three meters high, appeared in the sky, imbued with golden Light, against the blue sky and white clouds, they seemed like the gates of heaven.

Each Light Gate was carved with occult runes, with a large number etched at the seam of the gate.

Boom, a Light Gate like a Meteor, heavily crashed down onto the beach, the Shock Wave’s resulting dust spread in all directions, some Giant Soldiers who didn’t dodge in time were crushed into Broken Flesh.

Amidst the deafening boom, the gates opened, revealing an unknown Passage.

"FUCK, everyone don’t be fooled, this is definitely a trap."

"That’s right, only fools would go in. Captain Natasha, please deploy that One-Winged Angel and sink this City; let’s see where the ultimate boss will hide now?"

"Are you really willing to fight us?" Natasha questioned loudly towards the sky; she was considering, after all, using her ultimate ability would lead to an immense consumption of resources, she didn’t want to use it unless absolutely necessary.

"Hold your horses, let’s listen to the other party finish." Emily signaled for everyone to be quiet; in such a situation, the stronger the Team, the more options they had.

"I am behind one of the Light Gates, waiting for your arrival. If you choose wrongly, you will face my lesser bosses. Defeat them, and you’ll have the choice to leave, end the mission, return to your world, or continue to choose another Light Gate to challenge until you find me."

The Conquerors immediately had various cautious thoughts. The timid ones showed a relieved expression; this mission’s brutality had genuinely terrified them, and they couldn’t wait to return. Meanwhile, those powerful individuals like Silver Hair were visibly angry.

"Their tactic is clearly to defeat us one by one," Silver Hair roared out, dissatisfied. "Even without any traps, finding you would take a lot of time and energy, wouldn’t it?"

The weak did not echo his sentiment; their only concern was whether the other party was lying or not.

"You don’t have a choice. If you don’t enter, the number of Mutated Creatures and Giant Soldiers will double every three minutes, and their attacks will become stronger!"

"Ferrando, I know you’ve got the Alliance ready to reap the benefits, huh, do you think I am that stupid?" The voice ignored Silver Hair and continued to roar, "Come on, let’s see how good you are. If you want to kill me, be prepared to die a thousand times!"

The Conquerors fell silent, the other’s momentum was too strong, but this voice caused their hearts to beat ever faster, as if about to burst, clearly carrying a Mental Attack.

No one went in, everyone was waiting. A minute later, a second Light Gate fell and smashed onto the beach. Though there were more gates to choose from, still no one moved. The Conquerors watched each other, waiting for someone else to test the waters.

The assault of the Mutated Creatures and Giant Soldiers was unrelenting. Right when three minutes passed, their ferocity suddenly increased as if they had been injected with adrenaline, launching a desperate charge.

Time was ticking away, yet no one made a decision. Those who have lived until now were all extremely cautious.

"Damn, I’m envious of you guys!" some small teams on the brink of Team Annihilation cursed as they looked at Tang Zheng’s team. They could afford to keep on waiting, but these slightly weaker teams couldn’t wait anymore; otherwise, they would be wiped out by these minions with their overwhelming numbers, and by the time they entered the Light Gate, they would probably be facing a desperate struggle with a nine in ten chance of death.

At six minutes, ten Light Gates appeared on the beach, and another ten in the sky.

"This must be what Q Sister was referring to when she said to go into number 63!" Tang Zheng suddenly felt very lucky, knowing that even Vasily and Bingxu were frowning in thought.

"What should we do?" Sha Ou was somewhat worried and asked Tang Zheng.

His question also made nearby Conquerors look over. After all, Tang Zheng’s Team had a high Hero Ranking, and their decisions could influence many others.

"Wait!" Tang Zheng decided to trust Sister Q since she had even given him precious Props. At this time, there was no way to consult with Dantai because whatever means they used would be overheard by Natasha and the others.

Seeing Tang Zheng finish his words with a single sentence, his team quieted down, and people couldn’t help but marvel at his authority within the team. In all honesty, if it were them, they absolutely couldn’t achieve that level; to know that this is handing over their chance of survival into someone else’s hands, who would be responsible if the choice was wrong?

"Do you think it’s a trap?" Vasily gave Tang Zheng a thumbs up. Only a Group Leader who cared for their members could receive such unquestioning support.

"Hard to say, but I think it’s a bluff," Tang Zheng said, expression cold, pressing the numbers on the Light Gate, calculating the time for gate number 63 to fall.

"According to the previous frequency of the Light Gates falling, for sixty gates to fall, it would take at least fifty minutes, which means the attacks would intensify at least seventeenfold. I have to make these Conquerors hesitant, wait it out, otherwise, we won’t last until then." Tang Zheng was about to incite them, but someone already grew impatient.

"Fuck it, not waiting any longer, let’s go!" A Group Leader saw a member die, and the team suffered significant depletion, unwilling to keep on draining away. If they exhausted all their Life Energy, entering the Light Gate afterwards would be even more dangerous.

The Group Leader took the lead and rushed into the Light Gate, followed closely by the other members. Their actions were like a spark to the powder keg, and some of the weaker forces started rushing towards the Light Gates.

"Don’t be impulsive, calm down, just in case there is a trick!" Tang Zheng tried to change the situation.

Dantai was very smart; though he didn’t understand Tang Zheng’s thinking, seeing him stop these Conquerors, he immediately followed suit, passionately detailing the dangers of entering the Light Gate.

Some hesitated, but others were resolute, after all, they had struggled through life and death and wouldn’t be easily swayed. However, the next unexpected event made all of them stand still.

"Hey, why did the Light Gate disappear?"

"Group Leader, come out quickly!" The remaining three Group Members were scared when they saw their Group Leader enter the Light Gate and then it vanished without a trace, without their Group Leader, their death was nearly certain.

"To add, each door, each faction can only have up to thirty people!" The deep voice of the BOSS sounded, seeming to carry a laugh.

The three group members’ faces were filled with despair, making the atmosphere even heavier.

Thirty Light Gates fell, earlier than Tang Zheng had anticipated.

Conquerors entered the Light Gates more slowly, but a few minutes later, the offensive of the Mutated Creatures and Giant Soldiers doubled again, wilder than ever. The small teams couldn’t hold them back and began entering the Light Gates.

"Huh? Why did it disappear again? Only three people went in!" Seeing the Light Gate vanish, a Conqueror who was cutting off the pursuing Mutated Creatures became anxious; his team had all gone through the Light Gate, leaving him alone.

"To add, once someone enters a Light Gate, it will disappear after ten seconds. Please seize the opportunity!"

"Fuck, open the gate for me!" The Conqueror roared furiously, his voice hoarse.
