Chapter 1400: Chapter 64: First Encounter

The newbies widened their eyes, seeing the direction Tang Zheng defended. The Aboriginals were almost shot the moment they showed their heads from the dense rainforest. The one who charged the closest didn’t even make it thirty meters before he immediately moved towards Tang Zheng. In dangerous circumstances, staying by the side of a powerhouse gave them a sense of security.

Zhao Haixing was resentful, Xiang Ning indifferent, and Pan Hui was very happy, believing she had not misjudged people. She wanted to throw a flirtatious glance, but it was a pity that he was focused on combat and completely ignored this side.

Li Kelun was also somewhat affected, missing his target. After all, as a group leader, he had his own pride. Being outdone by someone else was truly embarrassing.

The Aboriginal who had escaped death charged forward, and Li Kelun’s face turned green as he spat out a chilling "Boom."

Boom, the Aboriginal’s head exploded, and the corpse lurched forward a few steps before toppling over, embedding into the fallen leaves.

"Shoot their eyes." Right after Xiang Ning shouted, an unexpected change occurred.

Not all the Aboriginals were brainless primitives. Following a high-pitched howl, the Aboriginals began using their armature to shield their eyes as they charged.

At this moment, the survivors’ heavy firepower was rendered useless. Though Li Kelun and the others had activated their wristwatches, they couldn’t unlock equipment above Level A since they hadn’t defeated enough bosses.

The chieftain appeared, leading the invigorated Aboriginals in a charge, while a rain of javelins covered the survivors.

The teleporting man vanished from his spot, then suddenly appeared behind an Aboriginal, thrusting a dagger towards his back. The ground shook, the soil bulged, and a gold python emerged from the earth, swallowing an Aboriginal jumping through the trees whole, biting him in two. Then, like a steel whip, its body lashed out, sweeping away a large swath.

The Conquerors began to release their abilities, but the Aboriginals were too numerous to be completely intercepted, and they closed in.

The newbies screamed, not knowing what to do, their hands trembling violently with weapons in grip.

"Dreamland!" Xiang Ning’s delicate cry rang out as a transparent sphere instantly expanded, enveloping everyone. The Aboriginals, as if seeing a mirage, completely overlooked the survivors and viciously pulled out short knives to hack at their own people.

"Kill!" Tang Zheng wouldn’t miss such a good opportunity to rack up points. He brandished a curved knife he got from the chieftain’s treehouse, slicing away at the Aboriginals.

The necks of the Aboriginals were certainly not as hard as the blade forged by secret methods; headless corpses fell to the ground, heads rolling about.

It took ten minutes to clean up these weaklings, and the team continued on their way, the newbies trembling, their faces nearly colorless. One woman couldn’t withstand the pressure of death and collapsed.

"I don’t want to die, I don’t want to go to any Golden City." The newbie turned to flee, but before she could make it three meters, she was shot in the calf by Zhao Haixing and fell to the ground.

"Coward." Zhao Haixing took several leaps forward, reaching the female newbie and pulling out a rope, binding her hands and feet.

"Please, don’t kill me, I won’t run anymore, I beg you!" The woman cried and pleaded, to no avail.

Zhao Haixing was unmoved and instead lifted the rifle’s butt, savagely smashing it into the woman’s head and chest. The force was so great that even the sound of bones breaking could be heard.

The brutal Zhao Haixing vented his anger, and in a few strikes, the woman started coughing blood.

"See that? This is what happens when you run. I won’t say anything if you don’t fight, but I absolutely won’t allow escape," Zhao Haixing, with a wolf-like glare, scanned the newbies, then hung the half-dead woman on a tree trunk.

With a faint breath left, the woman hardly had the strength to plead anymore.

The newbies were like cicadas in winter, not daring to beg for mercy. Tang Zheng glanced at Xiang Ning and saw that they were not surprised and had no intention of stopping him.

Zhao Haixing grabbed the woman’s hair, lifting her head and then used a blade to cut open her protective clothing, revealing her body. He then took out a can of honey and smeared it on her.

"Hey, that’s too much," Tang Zheng frowned. He didn’t mind Zhao Haixing punishing the fleeing woman, but this method of death was too cruel. He knew it was a strategy Zhao Haixing had thought up to avoid being penalized for killing.

"This is cruel? I’m already being nice by not breaking her legs. Hey, bite down on this dagger. Whether you can escape or not depends on it," Zhao Haixing pulled out a folding knife, stuffing the blade into the woman’s mouth.

The woman, hearing she might escape, bit down without thinking, but the loathsome Zhao Haixing flicked his wrist, tearing open her cheek, and blood flowed out.

"Enough!" Tang Zheng shouted. Gu Xueqi immediately pointed her gun’s muzzle at Zhao Haixing, ready to fight.

"What’s your problem?" Zhao Haixing was unwilling, "I’m just mistreating a newbie like livestock. What’s the issue?"

"If you say one more word, I’ll hang you here to rot and be infested with maggots." Tang Zheng could tell that Zhao Haixing was a psychological pervert, taking the opportunity to kill for pleasure.

"This is our team, after all, Kelun, say something," Zhao Haixing complained to his boyfriend.

"Let’s move on." Xiang Ning also disliked Zhao Haixing’s actions but refrained from speaking out because of Li Kelun. She had to admit that as the killing game grew more brutal, more perverted individuals would emerge among the Conquerors.

Undeterred by Xiang Ning and about to complain further, Zhao Haixing felt a pressure come down on him, forcing his knees to buckle. He fell with a thud, his entire head pressing into the fallen leaves, unable to call for help, as the earthy smell poured into his mouth.

"Is this your ability?" Li Kelun ignored Zhao Haixing and instead focused on Tang Zheng, eager to understand his power.

"Let’s get moving, we don’t have much time," Tang Zheng left, leaving behind Zhao Haixing, who stared at him with a face full of resentment.

"The Group Leader is very impressive," Gu Xueqi understood that besides being kind-hearted, Tang Zheng acted this way to demonstrate his integrity to Xiang Ning and the others; a person of integrity is always more trustworthy than an unscrupulous villain.

"He seems nice, I think I like him," Pan Hui murmured quietly as she walked beside Xiang Ning. "Look at his muscle definition. So fit. I really want to take a bite."

"You little nympho, careful or he might eat you up so nothing remains," Xiang Ning’s suspicions lessened, reassured by Tang Zheng’s actions.

Because of the recent squabble, the atmosphere within the squad had grown heavy, save for the occasional exclamations of the newbies, no one else spoke.

Tang Zheng was not foolish enough to play the role of pioneer and clear the way, but within ten minutes, he was walking in the middle of the squad again; unfortunately, Carlo and O’Reilly got pushed out to the front.

Milian had lost her way in the rainforest, wandering aimlessly, and was also attacked by the Aboriginals. However, her strength was so formidable that not a single hair on her head was harmed.

When the Aboriginals’ first round of javelin throws were blocked by Butler Charlie, they started to charge. But before they could get close to the blonde loli, they began to fall to the ground one by one, gasping for air.

They failed to notice that when Milian took a deep breath and exhaled, countless bacteria and viruses spread around with the invisible and colorless Plague Fog.

The Aboriginals inhaled these gases and their genetic defects were immediately activated, causing various acute illnesses to break out.

The two chieftains were a bit tougher, coughing up blood as they reached the Little Lolita, but as soon as they swung their curved knives, they were knocked away by a punch from Charlie, tumbling backward.

"Teddy Bear, come out!" Milian straightened her clothing, tapping the ground with her little leather boot.

The Tyrant Teddy Bear burst out from the ground, its heavy fists slamming into the chieftains, releasing bacteria as it did so.

"It’s too filthy; Milian wants to take a bath," Milian wiped the sweat with her handkerchief, screaming as she suddenly kicked the trunk of a nearby tree.

The tree, large enough to require two people to encircle it, snapped with a crack after just two kicks.

"Who’s there?" Milian suddenly turned her head to look to the left. Charlie swiftly positioned himself in front of his mistress.

The Teddy Bear, its hands drenched in fresh blood and brain pulp, charged towards Liu Hang.

"Don’t move, you’re captured!" Before Liu Hang could finish, a shadow loomed over him, and the Teddy Bear swung its heavy fists at him.

Liu Hang retreated; a python sprang out, colliding with the Teddy Bear. The teleporting man appeared next to Charlie without warning, launching a fierce barrage of attacks.

Charlie paid no mind to the assault. Despite being injured, he aimed a punch at the teleporting man.

"Not good!" The teleporting man clearly did not want to trade his severe injury for a dead man, so he dodged instantly.

The Teddy Bear, patched up and filled with sharp teeth in its mouth dripping with dark blood, now roared and grappled with the python, relentlessly tearing at its flesh.

Li Kelun appeared, snapping his fingers rapidly; the Teddy Bear immediately stiffened, exploding continuously.

Milian, her expression solemn, drew out the Hand of Akmond and transformed it into the shape of a surgical knife, staying on full alert.

"Who are you?" It took Li Kelun ten seconds to finish off the Teddy Bear, afterward, he calmly turned towards Milian. They had rushed over after hearing the sounds of battle, not expecting to find a little loli.

"Stranger, before asking someone else’s name, one should give their own name first. It’s a matter of courtesy," Milian, holding her parasol, tapped the ground and four more Teddy Bears leaped out, poised to strike.

Zhao Haixing had been about to talk tough, but upon seeing the Teddy Bears, he choked up. After witnessing the recent fight, he realized that with his own strength, even if he managed to handle one Teddy Bear, he would be injured. But now there were four of them, and a Butler of unknown identity stood by her side.

"Little girl, why are you alone in the rainforest? It’s so dangerous. Tell Auntie, where did your companions go?" Xiang Ning approached with a smile, trying to coax information out of Milian.

"We got separated," Milian, not the scheming type like Lu Fan, was not adept at discerning people’s intentions. "It’s them who got lost, not me."

Through her words, Tang Zheng and Xiang Ning gained some insight into the loli’s character.

"Why don’t you join us? Are you hungry? Auntie has food," Xiang Ning was prepared to fish for intelligence and, in a critical moment, she could perhaps use her as a hostage.

"I’m not hungry, I have food!" Milian shook her head. "My sister said not to accompany strangers, I have to go."

The Little Lolita curtsied and turned to leave.

"Wait, it’s too dangerous for you to walk alone," Xiang Ning urged.

Tang Zheng didn’t say much but observed the battlefield instead. The condition of the Aboriginals’ corpses made him frown and he then turned to look at Liu Hang and the teleporting man.

Through their condition, Tang Zheng tried to assess the Little Lolita’s strength and guess her abilities; he originally thought she was of the summoning system, but the state of the corpses led him to dismiss that idea.
