Chapter 1281: Chapter 35: Werewolf Lolicon
"Damn, Little Red Riding Hood’s obvious acting, why didn’t I see it?" Dong Zixuan blamed herself, saddened that she realized it too late.
The doctor, whose blood had been sucked by Little Red Riding Hood, had been stripped of his consciousness and turned into an obedient servant. When he saw someone disturbing his master’s escape, he immediately opened his wide mouth filled with sharp teeth and, without fear, smashed through the flaming door to stop the policewoman.
Amidst the flying wood splinters and ashes, Dong Zixuan saw the restroom’s glass window shattered. Little Red Riding Hood spread her wings and flew out, leaving behind a mocking smile in the moonlit night.
"Watch out!" Jing Lan exclaimed in shock. Her Ghost Reaper, like a phantom, emerged from behind and rushed toward the doctor like the wind, its black sickle swiped across, leaving a fine line across his neck.
With a thud, Dong Zixuan punched the doctor’s head, breaking the neck, and the skull flew off. His body still lunged forward due to momentum, but the policewoman dodged and then kicked the corpse away.
Hiss, a large amount of blood spewed out, splattering everywhere. The sickle also pulled out a translucent soul from the wound, sucking it into the blade.
"It’s bad, Little Red Riding Hood has escaped!" Jing Lan yelled frantically. Dong Zixuan had taken out a machine gun and blasted through the wall, but from this six-story building, she could only watch helplessly as the vampire’s figure flew away.
Hearing the commotion, everyone in the living room rushed over. The newbies were horrified at the sight of the corpse.
"Damn it, after her!" Qin Yan just said when a gunshot rang from the street. The bullet, glowing red, streaked like a meteor and hit Little Red Riding Hood’s shoulder. She fell straight down like a crashing airplane.
Tang Zheng quickly ran to where Little Red Riding Hood had fallen, leaped onto a parked Chevrolet, then with a press of his knees and a spring-like leap, caught Little Red Riding Hood mid-air, eight meters above the ground, and landed steadily.
"Xinxuan, treat her injuries!" Tang Zheng, holding Little Red Riding Hood by the collar and looking coldly, saw her bloodied and in a sorry state in her Bunny Girl outfit.
Dressed in a nurse uniform, Xinxuan appeared and purposely took out a large syringe, jabbing it through the clothes into Bunny Girl’s buttocks, injecting a white liquid into her body.
Little Red Riding Hood moaned in pain.
"Tell me your name?" Tang Zheng pulled out a Life-saving Straight Knife, spun it around his finger, and neatly slashed it across Bunny Girl’s face, leaving a trail of blood, "don’t make me resort to torture."
"Mary!" Bunny Girl screamed in fear and quickly blurted out the truth.
"Then why do others call you Little Red Riding Hood?" Mu Nianqi’s brows furrowed slightly, realizing she had made a blunder.
"That’s a nickname because I like reading fairy tales. I was kidnapped by a werewolf once, and my colleagues started calling me that," Bunny Girl cried tearfully, "I’m just a small fry, I haven’t wronged anyone, please let me go?"
"Why were you kidnapped?" Dantai and Qin Yan also jumped down from the sixth floor and rushed over, "Don’t jump to conclusions, let’s interrogate her first."
"Do werewolves need a reason to kidnap a vampire? We are arch-enemies!" Bunny Girl looked at Tang Zheng puzzledly, "You are humans, aren’t you supposed to keep your promise and stay out of our species’ conflict?"
"We’re looking for the Little Red Riding Hood whose real name should match, according to the fairy tale, the villain is supposed to be the wolf; thus, she should be a vampire," Dantai didn’t answer Bunny Girl’s question but grabbed her throat, "Among your people, is there a loli named Little Red Riding Hood?"
"No." Bunny Girl shook her head frantically, almost to the point of suffocation, scared into answering any question.
"Are you sure? If you lie, we’ll slay you." Teng Yuangxiang exclaimed in shock, the response momentarily cooling the hearts of the Conquerors.
"I’m sure, our clan isn’t large; almost everyone knows each other. If you don’t believe me, you can ask other vampires," Bunny Girl’s eyes darted around, thinking about how she could escape.
"Let’s not be misled, Little Red Riding Hood could also be an adult," Lu Fan crouched on the ground, drawing with the Wisdom Sword, carefully contemplating.
Everyone’s eyes fell sharply on Bunny Girl.
"No one among the adults has that name, I’m sure of it," Bunny Girl lamented, vowing to punish anyone who called her Little Red Riding Hood again.
The clues seemed to lead to a dead end, causing all the newcomers to wear gloomy expressions.
"We are running out of time, if we don’t find Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother, the wolf might kill them," Sun Jingshan recalled the story and tentatively asked, "Can we start from the hunter who killed the wolf in the fairy tale?"
"In some versions of the fairy tale, there is no hunter; it’s Little Red Riding Hood who cuts the wolf’s stomach with scissors and climbs out herself," Song Xin reminded, as everyone might be wasting time on a non-existent character.
"The version I read had Little Red Riding Hood dying at the end; Song Xin, that should better match the Dark Fairy Tale," Jing Lan knew her good friend’s kind and sunny personality would never indulge in dark-themed stories.
"No, since the Trojan hinted at her, we definitely overlooked some details," Mu Nianqi denied.
"Silver Trojan has just this kind of evil taste that needs beating, don’t you know?" Ruan Feifei mocked, looking down on Queen Mu’s haughty demeanor.
"Hmph, this guy might provide all sorts of misleading information within the scope of his permissions, but there definitely is some truth in it, because that’s one of the rules he must follow," Mu Nianqi, already hardened, replied calmly. "Maybe she really is Little Red Riding Hood."
"That’s right. Who decided that Little Red Riding Hood must be human? Besides, wasn’t she attacked by the werewolf!" Zhao Yunwu interjected, trying to assert his presence. He realized that for a newbie to survive on their own, there was only a dead end.
"That might have been a misunderstanding. We had just come out of the club, carrying a vampire with us. Werewolves probably mistook us for their kind as well. Besides, once the fight started, we killed quite a few werewolves. Even if there was no grudge, they had to fight desperately," Dantai commented dismissively. "We made a preconceived error; maybe the conflict just now could have been avoided entirely."
"Bad luck," Teng Yuangxiang sighed, frustrated. "What do we do now?"
"Can you stop complaining and offer some useful suggestions?" Lu Fan glanced at Teng Yuangxiang.
Song Xin, watching Tang Zheng’s furrowed brows, longed to share some of his burden but couldn’t think of an answer; she felt utterly worthless and extremely disheartened.
"Don’t worry; he surely has a plan," Jing Lan reassured Song Xin, holding her hand. Being unfamiliar with the Conquerors, she failed to detect any danger within the team.
"Any recent movements from the werewolves, any Lolicon or anything?" Tang Zheng wouldn’t let any possibility slip by. Since fairy tales and wolves were related, it made sense to start digging from their side.
"I don’t know." The Bunny Girl told the truth. "Can you let me go?"
"Since you’re mortal enemies with the werewolves, you ought to have someone in charge of gathering intelligence, right? Take me to them," he addressed the vampires, knowing the best source about an enemy was the enemy’s enemy. It was better to ask vampires directly than to catch some low-level werewolves who probably knew nothing. "Don’t worry, we’re on the same side now."
"I’m just a low-level vampire; I don’t know any big shots." The Bunny Girl’s defense was ignored; she might not know them, but she surely had heard of the vampire hierarchy, and that was enough.
At three in the morning, led by Tang Zheng, the team invaded a high-ranking vampire’s villa. The trash that tried to stop them stood no chance, but to facilitate negotiation, they didn’t kill anyone—just knocked them unconscious.
"The werewolf leader is a Lolicon. Heard that a few days ago he took a liking to a girl named Little Red Riding Hood; not sure if he got her," a man in pajamas said disdainfully, sitting down on the sofa, which then moved as if an invisible hand had lifted the tea table in front of him and smashed it toward his head. The scalding coffee placed by the maid spilled all over him, leaving him in a mess.
"You..." The man’s anger was extinguished by the handgun pressed to his forehead.
The maid beside him suddenly attacked, pulling a dagger from her calf and thrusting at Tang Zheng.
"This is hardly hospitable," Tang Zheng said, swinging one hand, causing the sofa, under the effect of gravity, to smash into her.
The maid jumped, crushing the sofa underfoot, but just as she lunged at Tang Zheng, Pang Meiqin intercepted with a lightning-fast kick, sending the maid flying.
"All the information you want, I’ll give," the man conceded, aware that the other party was only looking for trouble with the werewolves. Why not cooperate? "Little Red Riding Hood is kind-hearted; she often stays at her grandmother’s orphanage, playing with the kids..."
For insurance, Tang Zheng took the Bunny Girl as well, and as for that grandmother, she was wrapped up like a rice dumpling and stuffed in a suitcase.
Following the map, the large bus sped on, but before reaching their destination, the Trojan announcement sounded again.
"Toys, in ten seconds, the Punishment Battalion will arrive. Be prepared to flee or face them."
"Don’t stop, keep driving!" Dantai shouted, reminding the driver, aiming to shake off the Punishment Battalion, but he miscalculated.
Ten seconds passed in a flash, and through the rearview mirror, they saw a black Teleportation Gate emitting mist suddenly appear in the middle of the street. Armored cavalry burst through, the noise of hooves thunderous. They wielded Heavy Repeating Crossbows, firing arrows trailing green glowing tails, sweeping toward the fleet.
"There are more ahead!" Jing Lan shouted, sticking the machine gun out the Window and shooting at the pursuing cavalry.
Using the group killing feature of his Devil Flame Pistol, Tang Zheng blasted a gap through the blockading cavalry, but it was swiftly closed again as the cavalry countered, shooting Crossbow arrows.
"Ice Shield!" On Tang Zheng’s shout, Li Xinlan clenched her teeth and released her Ability. Ice spears burst through the Windshield, shooting out, and then bloomed like a fresh flower, swelling rapidly to form a spherical Shield.
Arrows struck it, sending ice shards flying everywhere.
"Break through!" Mu Nianqi shouted, just as a Sphere Bomb landed beside the bus. (To be continued. If you like this piece, your votes at QiDian are much appreciated. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
