Infinite Ebullience
Chapter 1203 - 76: No Chance of Winning

Chapter 1203: Chapter 76: No Chance of Winning

Sudden excruciating pain almost popped the unfortunate man’s eyeballs out before he could scream, ending his life.

Zhou Meng seized the opportunity and sprayed with an M2 Browning machine gun. The .50 caliber bulky bullets whistled through the air, shattering the cement road surface and sending fragments flying half a meter high.

Sister Liu jumped and dodged as bullets hit the unfortunate man’s corpse, shredding it into several pieces of broken flesh.

He Lian and Liu Binshi also climbed into the Hummer and joined the attack. A barrage storm howled in, ripping Sister Liu’s clothes and skin. Any hits inflicted severe damage on the body; a segment of her right leg wrapped in silk stockings was severed, tumbling into a nearby ditch.

"Die!" Zhou Meng bellowed, reducing Sister Liu to a pile of mush, with only a blood-stained high-heel remaining.

Tang Zheng didn’t want to engage in melee combat with Li Wenbo. If he was injured, he might turn into a zombie. But behind him were the sleeping Dong Zixuan and Zhao Dongtao’s group, who were sniping at the long-haired girl and Zhang Cheng. If he dodged, the entire team would immediately collapse, easily defeated by the enemy.

"A bunch of trash, die for me!" Li Wenbo’s body leaned forward, charging almost fifty degrees along the ground, carrying an immense momentum. Ten meters in front of Tang Zheng, he suddenly leaped, smashing down towards him.

After being enhanced by the parasite, Li Wenbo’s body was five times stronger than ordinary people, easily overpowering Tang Zheng.

"Idiot!" There was no way to change direction mid-air. Tang Zheng didn’t even need to aim. He calculated the lead and fired the AT-4.

Boom, the rocket shell hit Li Wenbo, flipping him over. Tang Zheng immediately aimed for single shots, but his eyes narrowed, murmuring trouble ahead.

Li Wenbo burst from the smoke, flesh stripped from his ribs, even exposing his bones, but it had no effect on him. The wounds rapidly healed.

"Haha, you think this can kill me? Too naive. Today, you all will die!" Li Wenbo roared maniacally. He loved his new body, infinite power surging from his heart, spreading to his limbs; he could massacre any foe.

Tang Zheng’s ammo clip was empty, with no time to reload, he lunged at Li Wenbo.

"Overconfident." Li Wenbo scoffed, swinging a punch towards Tang Zheng’s head. He didn’t bother with combat techniques; in the face of absolute brute force, all resistance was futile.

Tang Zheng intended to strike back, but Li Wenbo’s speed was too fast, forcing him to use his rifle to block in front of his chest.

Bang, the metal of the rifle was actually deformed by the heavy punch. Li Wenbo’s second attack came, the gun couldn’t endure, shattering into pieces, clinking as they scattered across the road surface.

Tang Zheng tilted his head, Li Wenbo’s heavy punch grazed past his cheek.

"Aren’t you strong? Why dodge? Come hit me!" Li Wenbo saw Tang Zheng desperately dodging under his ferocious attacks, shouting excitedly, taunting him.

From the first clash, Tang Zheng knew he couldn’t defeat him alone, so he began stalling for time. As long as Zhao Dongtao’s group managed to take out the long-haired girl and Zhang Cheng, they could back him up. Of course, even fleeing was a tactic, allowing him not to worry about them.

As Li Wenbo turned, he unleashed a powerful rear kick. Tang Zheng, seeing no escape, crossed his arms in front of his chest for a block.

Boom, Tang Zheng was like being struck by a speeding train, tossed rolling out, his skin scraping against the road, leaving many tiny abrasions.

"What’s the matter, I only used sixty percent of my strength, and you can’t handle it?" Li Wenbo glanced at Zhao Dongtao, ignoring him, letting the zombies handle them. Tang Zheng was the real threat; he wouldn’t rest until he was dead.

Tang Zheng, still worried about Li Wenbo attacking Zhao Dongtao’s group first, saw him running over and immediately understood the situation, turning to run, aiming to draw him away.

"Look, this is your trusted Group Leader. When faced with danger, doesn’t he just abandon you and run?" Li Wenbo loudly mocked Tang Zheng, chasing after him.

"Tang Zheng isn’t like that, you monster," Song Xin couldn’t stand Li Wenbo taunting Tang Zheng and loudly objected.

"Damn," Tang Zheng was pondering how to kill Li Wenbo when he heard Song Xin’s words. Recalling Li Wenbo’s personality, he immediately turned back to pursue.

Tang Zheng was grateful for Song Xin’s support, but it wasn’t the right moment.

"Trouble, Rong He, focus on Zhang Cheng!" Zhao Dongtao also sensed the dire situation and intensified the attack.

Zhang Cheng’s body was battered and torn, in some places even exposing bones and visceral organs, but he still stubbornly attacked. Fortunately, there were several general-purpose machine guns that could suppress him.

"Tang Zheng, you selfish bastard. Even if we die, we will curse you," Tao Ran obviously understood Tang Zheng wouldn’t flee. Seeing Li Wenbo halt and scan angrily their way, Black Long Straight suddenly shouted out loud.

"What are you talking about?" Song Xin glared at Tao Ran, initially furious, but seeing Black Long Straight blinking non-stop and giving her meaningful glances, she became puzzled.

"Since that’s the case, I’ll kill you first." Li Wenbo had just run a few steps, saw the two girls arguing, stopped in his tracks, and laughed, "That’s more like it, he is indeed a bastard."

The crisis had been averted, Tang Zheng sighed with relief, but slowed down, worried that Li Wenbo wouldn’t keep up.

"What’s the matter? Tired? I’ll show you how formidable this body of mine is." Li Wenbo laughed heartily, as if everything was under his control, and quickly rushed toward Tang Zheng.

In the end, Tang Zheng couldn’t outrun Li Wenbo. Fifty meters away, they clashed again, with Li Wenbo launching a fierce assault with both fists, each strike lethal.

"Go!" Tang Zheng exhaled sharply and shouted, pouring his strength into his arms to withstand the blows. He could see Li Wenbo’s punches coming, and he even knew how to defend, but his body couldn’t keep up.

Bang, bang, Tang Zheng was like a sandbag, continuously pummeled by Li Wenbo.

"Tang Zheng!" Song Xin’s heart ached wanting to help him, but she also worried that her bullets might accidentally hit him.

"Don’t get distracted, never mind him, kill this zombie first." Zhang Cheng was killed in a focused attack, and once they killed the long-haired girl, they could go to help Tang Zheng. Zhou Meng and his group also drove over, attacking the long-haired girl with a machine gun.

Li Wenbo delivered a side kick, hitting Tang Zheng in the shoulder and knocking him over, followed by a downward chop aimed at crushing his skull.

Tang Zheng rolled continuously, dodging the attack, and just as he got up, Li Wenbo’s grimy face appeared in front of him, sneering as he unleashed a barrage at his chest.

Crack—the least of Tang Zheng’s worries were the three ribs that got smashed, unable to defend because his right arm was dislocated.

"Tsk tsk, what a sorry state, where’s the vigor you had when you beat me up initially?" Li Wenbo was very calm, toying with Tang Zheng, aiming to break him both spiritually and physically.

Sighing deeply, Tang Zheng kneeled on one knee, too preoccupied to wipe the cold sweat on his forehead, he grabbed his right shoulder and pushed hard, snapping the dislocated arm back into place.

"Today, you’ll be the same—beaten beyond recognition, begging on your knees." Tang Zheng took off his tactical vest, pulled out the tactical straight knife from it, held it in reverse grip, and stood up.

"Tough talker, die then!" Li Wenbo lunged forward, also pulling out his straight knife, its matte black blade stabbing straight at Tang Zheng’s face.

Tang Zheng sidestepped, his right hand swinging past, leaving a deep, bone-exposing wound on Li Wenbo’s cheekbone, even slicing off a chunk of flesh.

Li Wenbo, furious, brandished his dagger stabbing, but mostly missed by mere inches, while Tang Zheng avoided them and instead left numerous wounds on him.

"Idiot." If it was purely a contest of strength, Tang Zheng was no match, but in terms of skills, his experience from over a dozen games completely outclassed Li Wenbo.

"Impossible, impossible!" Li Wenbo grew increasingly angry. His eyes filled with blood strands and his movements got faster. He was actually being suppressed, how infuriating.

Tang Zheng’s physical strength was limited, there were some non-critical attacks he didn’t bother dodging, letting Li Wenbo stab him, partly to lower the enemy’s guard, letting him continue being conceited, and also to trade blow for blow.

Bang, Tang Zheng kicked at Li Wenbo’s chest, but didn’t manage to knock him over. Instead, he was grabbed by the ankle.

As the blade came stabbing down, Tang Zheng twisted his leg, avoiding the tendon, but the blade still plunged into his calf. As Li Wenbo pulled horizontally, blood sprayed and a chunk of muscle was sliced off.

"Get off!" Tang Zheng supported himself with his left hand on the ground, his whole body airborne, using the momentum of his twisting waist; his left leg swung like a windmill, striking Li Wenbo’s head.

Li Wenbo staggered back two steps, but wasn’t discouraged and instead laughed loudly.

"Ha ha, let you boast, how does it feel to be dismembered?" Li Wenbo, looking at Tang Zheng’s bleeding leg, licked the dagger, then picked up the sliced-off flesh from the ground and chewed it in his mouth.

Tang Zheng’s clothes were all finely cut, turned into ribbons, and the wounds on his flesh made the blood dye his clothes blood-red.

"This little injury is nothing, it’s you who’s in trouble, your ribs are sticking out." Tang Zheng tore off his tattered shirt, revealing his upper body, then pointed downwards, "Another thing, that chunk of flesh you ate, that’s yours."

Li Wenbo looked down, seeing pieces of flesh scattered all around, his excited expression vanished as he stared at his chest, only now realizing he was nearly reduced to a skeleton, his viscera visible. Being a zombie, his pain nerves had degenerated, so he hadn’t felt the extent of his own injuries, thinking he was unharmed.

"I’ll slaughter you." Li Wenbo, enraged, charged at Tang Zheng again.

Tang Zheng exerted force, and immediate severe pain shot through his right leg. Clenching his teeth to endure, knowing delaying would mean certain death, he saw Zhao Dongtao’s group about to kill the long-haired girl; Tao Ran had picked up an AT-4, occasionally glancing over here, immediately intended a risky move, deliberately falling towards the ground.

"Ha ha, you’re done for." Li Wenbo laughed loudly, bending down, originally intending to stab Tang Zheng’s head, but the latter supported himself with his left hand, twisting his waist and spinning, dodging the blade.

"Die!" Tang Zheng’s right arm swept like a whale drawing water, creating a powerful arc, like an antelope’s horn, smashing towards Li Wenbo’s head. The straight knife he held plunged into his eye socket without any suspense.

Tang Zheng stirred his right hand, mashing Li Wenbo’s eye socket, while his right knee also rose, violently slamming into Li Wenbo’s waist.
