The gang leader’s eyes flickered to his companion’s death. Startled, he flexed his arm, attempting to use the black man in front as a meat shield to retreat from the room.

From behind his waist, the black man produced an Uzi submachine gun, unlocked the safety, and unleashed a burst of fire into the gang leader’s belly.

Amidst the soft thuds of bullets penetrating flesh, the gang leader’s expression froze, his body shook, blood spattered, and stained his clothes.

Indeed, if the guy hadn’t reacted quickly, Tang Zheng would have let them come out before shooting. Otherwise, storming into the room would have greatly increased the danger.

Bang bang, a deep gunshot suddenly rang out from behind, startling Tang Zheng, who turned to see a perspiring Hu Shang whose gun had accidentally discharged.

Tang Zheng shot, killing the white man, and turned the gun on the black man. Pulling the trigger, it clicked empty. Unfortunately, since the black man had fired several shots, Tang Zheng couldn’t know and thus hadn’t counted the remaining bullets. He had anticipated such a scenario and hurled the submachine gun with utmost speed.

The gun struck like an arrow, hitting the black man’s head and knocking him backward. Naturally, his gun’s aim veered off, shooting the ceiling and leaving a row of bullet holes.

Tang Zheng tossed aside the body, leaned forward, powered by his calves as if a cheetah poised to strike, burst forth, simultaneously swinging his left hand, his straight knife slashing across the black man’s throat.

Blood spurted out and the black man hit the ground, shuddering like a chicken with its throat cut, gurgling blood as his body convulsed.

Tang Zheng flicked the blood droplets off the blade, picked up the fallen submachine gun, and turned to leave.

Blood pooled, soaking the black man’s clothes, seeping onto his back tattoo, and activating the demon summoning circle.

Dark red light exploded, overflowing. Tang Zheng immediately spun around, quickly retreating.

The black man’s body shriveled in the blink of an eye, as if drained of all blood and essence, leaving only skin. Then, a wisp of smoke emerged, instantly forming a three-meter-tall demon that bellowed skyward upon its appearance.

The visible sound waves spread out, shattering all the glass in the room and even cracking the walls.

The newbies in the hallway suffered terribly, their heads splitting with pain as they lost balance and collapsed to the ground.

Whoosh. The demon lunged towards Tang Zheng, its palm smashing towards his head.

The demon charged forward, pounding a fist towards Tang Zheng’s head. He ducked, and then the entire wall was demolished by a single mighty punch.

Tang Zheng took the opportunity to slash his straight knife at its arm while raising his gun to aim at its eyes, opening fire.

This demon’s defense power was low—two eyes shot blind, it howled in rage, wreaking havoc on everything around it.

Tang Zheng stepped to the side, observing its attack patterns.

The demon, nearly two and a half meters tall, moved upright with flesh-colored skin but no body hair, as smooth as a newly born wild beast cub. Its muscular legs ended in hooves, and it had a long tail that could whip around like a lash.

"What is this thing?" Zhang Heng’s voice trembled, nearly driven mad by this supernatural being.

"Not sure," Tang Zheng replied. All the while, Dantai and his group, alerted by the commotion of the battle, had hurried over.
