Chapter 1037: Chapter 17: The Descent of Demons (3 updates, 10,000 words)_2

"Are you okay?" Pang Meiqin was very worried, and though Li Xinlan didn’t speak, her concerned expression said it all.

"An ordinary person would probably break four or five ribs from a blow like that," Tang Zheng pointed at his heart, "That might be its weak spot."

This low-level demon was not very intelligent and did not know how to locate by sound, blindly raging instead. It let out a sound wave that pierced through the wall.

The Japanese also hurried over, and upon seeing the demon, their faces turned ugly.

"Kill it, it’s useless," Dantai looked at it a few times then lost interest, launched a mental impact, and the demon howled miserably as it knelt down.

Tang Zheng lifted the muzzle of his gun and shot all the remaining bullets into its brain, blasting it into the shape of a rotten watermelon. After it died completely, its corpse burned up, turning to ash in three seconds, leaving nothing behind.

"Go and collect the money and weapons in the room, and get all the captives together on the second floor," Tang Zheng tossed aside the submachine gun and left, he wanted to ask Anna what the deal was with this demon.

"That’s a demon, supposedly you can summon them to the human realm with fresh blood and a life through an evil ceremony, but no one has ever succeeded, and people just take it as a joke," Anna said indifferently, then anxiously added, "My child is at home, there’s no one to cook for her."

Anna sneaked the cash from the front desk drawer into her possession, stripped those women of their jewelry, made a small profit, and after calming down, she became scared and wanted to get rid of these guys.

"I’ll go back with you tonight; if you’re lying to me, you can guess the consequences," Tang Zheng observed Anna, seeing that she wasn’t panicked, he knew the prostitute wasn’t lying.

"Go, notify everyone to meet in room 6 on the second floor," Teng Yuangxiang, like a diligent secretary, always followed Tang Zheng. Upon hearing this, she immediately went to do it.

"Your female slave is very obedient, tastes good, right?" Ruan Feifei glanced at Teng Yuangxiang with disdain and curled her lip.

"I thought you’d never speak to me in your life," Tang Zheng responded casually as he went upstairs, "Keep an eye on the front desk."

Five minutes later, including the sixteen Japanese, no one was absent. They maintained their silence, waiting for the meeting to start.

"In these few hours, your minds must be in chaos, right?" Without waiting for the newbies to answer, Tang Zheng continued, "It’s already late, so the strategy will start tomorrow. Tonight, you need to familiarize yourselves with the weapons and adapt to this world as quickly as possible. Dantai and I will go out tonight to collect as much information as possible and find the fastest way to rack up Sin Points."

There were almost no brutes left; although they had doubts, without permission, they didn’t dare to speak up on their own.

"If you have any questions, raise your hand," Tang Zheng didn’t want the Japanese to increase their combat power, or he would have arranged a lesson on firearms.

"Greetings, sir, I am Sekiya Ganta!" A Japanese man with short hair stood up, bowed very politely to Tang Zheng, and then began his question, "Why not kill people? A few explosions that kill a couple of hundred citizens should earn a lot of Sin Points."

"If you’re wanted by the police, how do you plan to escape?" Tang Zheng countered, "Where are your explosives and firearms?"

"This city is poorly policed, you could use the money to buy from gangsters, and as for the police, just kill them," Sekiya, not one to compromise easily, was polite yet firm.

"How many can you kill? And after you’ve provoked the natives’ military, what’s your plan for the aftermath?" Tang Zheng still questioned back.

"I apologize, sir, it was my oversight," Sekiya Ganta showed a look of shame, bowed, and sat back down.

"You, speak," Tang Zheng said, seeing Zhang Heng raise his hand.

"I’d like to go out with you too, act as a bodyguard, help out with things," Zhang Heng laughed, clearly just eager to commit crimes.

"Fine, who else wants to come?" Tang Zheng agreed, looking at the several arms that were raised.

Watching Tang Zheng sit in the high seat, commanding from above like a monarch, Yin Zhijian was dying of jealousy.

In the end, it was decided that eleven people would take action that night. Apart from Anna, there were three men and one woman from the Japanese side, led by Sekiya. As it was a reconnaissance mission, aside from Tang Zheng and Dantai, who had Uzi submachine guns tucked away, the others did not carry firearms.

The rain had stopped, and the sky had cleared. Using the dim street lights and moonlight, one could see many people who lived by night; for them, the night was the most exciting part of the day.

The bar was noisy, drunks sprawled about, prostitutes stood under the street lights, batting their eyes at passing men, soliciting. And there were some hippies on motorcycles who hollered and roared past.

"So, how are we going to fund this? Rob the gangsters or hit the bank?" Dantai blew a smoke ring and surveyed the surroundings.

"Why not do both?" Teng Yuangxiang interrupted, "With your two’s planning, it’s bound to be foolproof."

"First, we’ll rob the gangsters for weapons, then grind Sin Points to quickly activate the Space Wristwatch," Tang Zheng thought of the demon, "This scenario seems to be of the fantasy genre."

"Yeah, and what’s your plan? Keep committing crimes?" Dantai smirked, "I don’t mind, but can you, the good guy, bring yourself to do it? Like assaulting those prostitutes?"

Those bored hippies had found a new amusement—they surrounded a prostitute and tore at her clothes until she was stripped naked.

The prostitute was panicked and screamed, trying to run away, but failed. The hippies looped a rope around her neck and, like a dog, dragged her toward a telegraph pole.

The young women, their ears full of studs and noses and lips pierced with rings, kept cheering on. The male hippies laughed uproariously, battering the prostitute’s body with baseball bats, causing her to wail in pain.

"Please, don’t hit me," the prostitute begged, to no avail, and was eventually tied to the telegraph pole.

The survivors stood on the curb, watching the hippies assault the prostitute, feeling an indescribable anger clogging their chests.

"No, I want to take a different path, but I haven’t figured it out yet." Pure crime, Tang Zheng didn’t want to do it, nor was he willing to, for he had his own bottom line. He turned and asked, "So, do you find them displeasing to the eye?"

"Yes, sir," Sekiya Ganta still had some sense of justice, "Please allow me to fight for justice for that woman."

"Be my guest." From Sekiya’s posture and the way he spoke, Tang Zheng guessed that he might have practiced Kendo.

"These hippies are scum, every night they find pleasure in tormenting prostitutes and the homeless." Anna’s face displayed utter disgust, hoping they would learn a harsh lesson.

"Go for it, Mr. Sekiya!" A girl named Aihara Chiharu cheered, encouraging her comrade, as the other two Japanese were about to join the fight but were stopped by Ganta Sekiya.

"Conceited fool, one against eighteen, is he asking to die?" Teng Yuangxiang mocked him, "Even if wearing Protective Clothing doubles your physique, you don’t turn into a superhero."

Sekiya Ganta didn’t respond but stood in the middle of the street, assuming a combat stance.

The hippies, cursing, charged at him.

"Brave, but a bit foolhardy," Dantai evaluated, "If we don’t help him, he’ll be beaten to death."

Sekiya Ganta did indeed have a decent level of skill; he employed a move to disarm and seize a baseball bat, then swung it, knocking down five unlucky souls. Soon after, he took a blow to the head, and blood streamed down over his eye.

"Mr. Sekiya, watch out behind you!" Aihara’s warning came too late, as a rope was thrown around Sekiya’s neck and yanked, pulling him down.

"Drag him to his death!" The hippies, with a sinister grin, climbed on their motorcycles, holding the other end of the rope.

Tang Zheng intervened, sprinting out and grabbing the rope. The engine roared to life, surged forward, and the rope instantly went taut. The hippie on the back seat was no match for Tang Zheng’s strength and was promptly yanked off.

The other hippies quickly surrounded him, but Tang Zheng flicked his toe up, and a baseball bat on the ground flew into his hand.

Whoosh, with a powerful swing from Tang Zheng, all the baseball bats whirling at him were knocked away from their hands, followed by a bat circling around on some unlucky soul’s cheek.

The hippie’s entire set of teeth was nearly shattered, teeth loosened and mixed with blood, spitting out several of them.
