Chapter 65: Little Monster

Chapter 65: Little Monster

Kamille, when in his wild state, Rise preferred to call it that rather than his dark side, was still Kamille. His thoughts and actions were on his own. It only amplified and made him act on his most extreme thoughts.

In other words, when Kamille had spanked him, he would only think of it or have the urge to do it when he was in the ’normal state’ but in his ’wild state’ he would act upon it without hesitation.

Rise touched his butt, startled. He did not expect it in the slightest. He seemed to feel still Kamille’s hand making contact at his rear, only for a few seconds, but...

Oh gosh, Kamille really spanked him.

His cheeks quickly tinted with crimson, but he was smiling widely.

"I didn’t mean that," Rise touched his butt and complained, "Why did you spank me?"

He was only acting cute, though, not like it really hurts.

Kamille snickered, a playful smirk gracing his lips.

"Want me to do it again?" He asked, raising a brow mischievously.

Just as Rise was about to answer him, Kamille suddenly clicked his tongue, annoyed. He touched his forehead and the smirk faded.

"Stubborn." He muttered as he looked up, his pupils’s crimson hue fading. Kamille seemed unable to think of what to say, clearly, the one who spanked Rise was him.

In this state, he was still sober, but with his extreme thoughts taking over more than his rationality and reason. And so, he could not deceive Rise to say he did not know or that was not his intention.

Clearing his throat, Kamille stood up. "Uh, did I hurt you?"

Rise knew that the effect of the wild state was short since Kamille only used the fire to release small balls of fire as illumination in their surroundings.

Instead of answering, he lowered his head, biting his lips to stifle his laughter. He then shook his head.

"It didn’t hurt at all,"

The corner of Kamille’s lips twitched. He had a headache thinking about it; his image of Rise might be tainted at this point. And... He knew it would continue to do so as long as they remained together.

Should he lie? Before Kamille could ponder more, Rise already raised his head, and their eyes automatically locked.

On most occasions, Kamille had this gaze through which he could read Rise’s thoughts, but this situation seemed to have reversed their position. Rise appeared to hear and know his thoughts for some reason.

As the silence stretched while staring at each other, Rise unsurprisingly broke the stalemate between them.

"Actually, Guild Leader..." Rise closed their distance and stopped just as his lips were right beside Kamille’s ear. "I honestly don’t mind."

Who says Kamille was the only with wild side, Rise had it too! If one thing he would indulge in was to make sure Kamille’s wild side did not disappear and manifested more even in his ’normal state’.

Kamille visibly flinched, his head snapping to the side in an instant, meeting Rise’s playful gaze.

"One more thing, Guild Leader." Rise struck again while the iron was hot, before even Kamille processed what he said. If one thing he had learned, he needed to be one step ahead of Kamille’s supposed to be rational mind or something. "Should I guide you now?"

Kamille inexplicably swallowed; his throat dried somehow.

His thoughts spun with excuses such as that he was not exhausted and he could still manage. However, he already responded before those thoughts commanded his body.

He nodded and spoke in such a hoarse voice that the flames he unleashed seemed to be affecting more than he expected them to be. And honestly, Kamille did not feel any resistance as much as he thought.

Finally, after hearing his guild leader’s answer, Rise had released his guiding wavelength, pouring his energy as their lips once again met.

They had kissed a few more times after that intimate scene in Kamille’s office or the kiss underwater; the two tacitly chose kiss contact as part of their guiding session.

Kamille’s hands wrapped automatically around Rise. The two kissed under the illumination of the black fire, blood under their feet.

The scene painted quite a romantic image, albeit a dark romance, maybe?

"That’s the leader." Rise stood atop a tree, pointed at the frail humanoid monster.

They were now in another gate after traversing more than five gates, which Rise did not even bother counting. After they left the bloody falls and stumbled into another chaotic space, the two only entered without thinking much about it.

Below, Kamille, surrounded by the humanoid monsters with huge potruding belly, cut through the crowd with the wind. He casually walked towards the position of the leader; anyone that came into contact with the wind surrounding him was killed as though they were being sliced like tofu.

Soon, Kamille stood before the leader, looking down on it.

A burst of laughter sounded above and blood splattered below, Rise descended from the tree, descending slowly behind Kamille. The force field around him crashed through the monsters below, flattening them in the ground.

"Too ugly," even though he said that, he looked at the monster with curiosity. It looked frail, unlike the huge monsters; if not for his face, wrinkled with four eyes like the others, Rise would not even thought it was a monster, but some other human stumbled into this place.

The monster also only huddled in the corner, protecting itself. It did not even attack or show aggression; in fact, it looked pitiful. Of course, Kamille and Rise were not one to grow soft to the monsters on the gates.

"I’m sure it’s the leader, though." He looked around and muttered, "They are protecting it."

Being protected did not mean being the leader, sure. However, the monster tribe clearly protected this little monster too much.

Growls and incoherent words did not cease from the enraged monsters, but they could not take a step closer.

"Should we kill it now, Guild Leader?" Rise asked, not leaving his agze at the little monster.

"Should we?" Kamille looked at him and returned the question.

They had been to other gates, and the two did not even sweat about most of it. The two also already spent almost a week inside the gate. Rise was enjoying his time and did not take the initiative to stop their little adventure.

Kamille also did not mind, as they still have time to spare before the annual guild convention. The guild was also on the right track, and his presence was not much needed for it to operate.

Rise pondered before crouching in front of it. He did not remove the force field around him though, as being complacent was a weak trait he at least did not have.

"You," Rise called, "do you want to die?"

Rise did not expect an answer actually, and that it was only a playful impulse when he asked it.

However, he did not expect... and Kamille as well for the monster to lift its head, four eyes met Rise gaze.

The monster nodded.

"I want to die."
