In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]
Chapter 135: Different Parts (1)

Chapter 135: Different Parts (1)

Was he mad before at Danich when he was confined for over a month? Of course, he was. However, he did not feel like his heart was about to combust from anger either.

It was already enough when he saw him die, and he moved on quite easily after that, focusing on other matters.

This time, he would not rest easy with just seeing him being killed.

"It looks absolutely disgusting on you," Rise mocked, earning a glare from the other.

At first, Danich looked completely shocked, and as he tried to muster his strength, only to confirm that they had been sealed. As the artifacts came from the gates, they naturally worked quite well with nobles too.

"How dare a human like you..."

"Yeah, yeah." Rise did not bother wasting time on him; he was pressed for time, and he wanted to return quickly to know if Thalia had woken up already.

Danich was so angry that he fell completely silent, gnashing his teeth, wanting to tear him apart.

"Guild Leader," Rise called, reminding of Kamille’s presence, which Danich had yet to notice. "Do we bring him or leave him here?"

As he could not bring such a colossal monster, while Danich’s power had been sealed, his physical body was huge, and Rise could not put him in the storage space.

They could bring him or leave him in this prison, which technically was their prison. The difference was that Danich would have a different prison guard.

Danich frowned at that. Not sensing another person inside, he lifted his gaze and searched for who Rise was talking to. And the moment that he did, he momentarily paused. staring at those pair of indifferent pupils as he locked gaze with him.

A second later, Danich seemed to have seen a ghost; his pupils shrank, and he scrambled on his feet, stepping back a few steps. Fear appeared in his eyes.

"H-How are you here?" Danich exclaimed in shock but instinctively covered his mouth, as though talking like that before Kamille was a huge disrespect.

Kamille only narrowed his eyes before shifting his gaze back to Rise, who was now looking confusingly at Danich’s demeanor. He did remember Danich having the same reaction before.

"We don’t need to bring him." Rise did not dwell on that, turning his attention back to Kamille, treating Danich as air who had a twisted expression from both anger and fear.

Kamille then continued as he explained. "If he left, this gate would disappear." His gaze landed at Danich’s figure, dangerous and intimidating. "We don’t want them to be alerted."

That was simple and precise. They could bring Danich, but as the guardian was gone, the gate would naturally disappear, having no purpose to exist anymore, and thus would automatically have a cleared status.

So, they had to act like everything was still as before and not alert their enemies.

Rise nodded immediately and agreed.

For the most part, Kamille did all the work to seal Danich completely. Although Rise did destroy the throne and enjoyed the look of absolute despair in Danich’s eyes seeing his emergency exit disappear.

Rise did not question the cautiousness and fear that Danich gave Kamille or the other’s nonchalance. All would be discussed after, and this time was not the right time.

"We’ll be back," Rise waved, smiling tauntingly, earning a few more fierce glares and growls, but that was it.

The predator and the prey had completely changed.

When he said he would be back, he meant it... absolutely.

Rise expected that this trip would only take a few hours, and so they did not come with the others. Danich was weaker than Kamille, that much he knew from the previous life, and also the fact that he knew a lot about Danich that this would be a piece of cake.

Without further ado, they returned to the Lionheart city. They only entered the gate when the news reached Rise’s ears.

Thalia was finally awake.

Rise immediately and run to Thalia’s room; Kamille was right behind him, silent.

"Thalia!" Rise opened the door rather roughly and with too much force; it almost got destroyed, but it did show dents.

Rise did not even look at the other presence inside the room; his eyes only landed automatically on Thalia’s figure, searching for her.

Their gaze soon met as the two stared at each other. Rise was about to approach, but he paused, feeling confused by the sudden, different feeling that Thalia gave off.

Sure, Thalia was looking at him with the same devotion, but it was a bit emotional. And he did not look like the naive and clumsy beauty the young Thalia had, which only matured a few years from now.

He was slightly unsure and so called again, "Thalia?" Rise did not know why he sounded like asking her instead.

Thalia’s lips visibly trembled; her gaze also glimmered, tears attempting to flow out. This made Rise panic; he had never seen Thalia truly cry like that. Even when things get rough, she appears to always be exuding a positive vibe, even if they were only on the surface.

He began walking with slow steps, wanting to approach Thalia, but he could not do so since Thalia approached him instead; the woman was already in front of her.

"What..." Before he could inquire further, he was suddenly engulfed in a soft embrace.

Rise swore he heard some gasp around him, also stunned by this scene. He blinked, unable to process for a moment. He lowered his gaze and looked at Thalia hugging him tightly.

Thalia’s face was buried in his chest, her arms tightly locked around Rise.

"G-Guild Leader..." Sheena and the other girls’ voices sounded, shocked by what their leader did. They were about to move and get Thalia but were stopped by a gaze.

Whose gaze was more intimidating than a certain person in this room?

Kamille looked at them slightly and then shook his head. Sheena pursed his lips, Hayes also did, but his heart was already pounding so hard. Who did not know that Rise was their Guild Leader’s lover?

AHHH! His heart was about to explode.

Kamille’s expression also did not help, as he appeared so calm, but the tinge of his pupils was shrouded by darkness. He was holding back, just watching, letting Rise interact with Thalia, for whom he cared so much, although Kamille did not have a clue why.

He only watched the scene before him with a calm expression but suppressed emotions.

Rise was too preoccupied by the shock of what Thalia did. When was Thalia so expressive? Did the trauma of what happened to her party make him seek comfort from him, her idol?

Just as he was about to ask, he momentarily paused, his eyes widening. He quickly withdrew Thalia from the embrace and looked at her face, his expression filled with various emotions, mostly shock and anticipation.

"Wha, What did you say?" Rise looked straight into her eyes, wanting to confirm he was not hearing things,

Thalia’s lips trembled slightly and she took a deep breath.

"I thought I’d be late." Thalia hiccupped and embraced Rise again; her emotions were too chaotic, just like the timeline in her memory. "It isn’t starting yet... I’m early this time."

These words were like a grumble of a sick patient after going through such a traumatic event, and if Rise was also not aware yet of the real nature of this world, he might also think so.

However, now that he was aware, these words had a different impact when they reached his ears.

Was it what he was thinking? Was Thalia... like him? Did she also experience rebirth like he was? Rise could not care less about the people around him; his heart was only racing in so fast in his chest that he might explode from these overwheleming emotions.

Rise finally could not help but respond, engulfing Thalia in a warm and comforting embrace.

"It’s fine." He whispered so soothingly, just like how Thalia did it when he was on the verge of breaking down from everything that was happening to him.

He also sensed how Thalia visibly flinched, finally recovering from the shock and realizing what she had done, wanting to withdrew, but Rise only hugged her tighter.

"I know... I’m aware." Rise spoke that only the two of them could understand. Since as Espers, even just a tiny bit of whisper, everyone in the room could hear.

"R-Really?" Thalia hiccuped again, her voice hoarse, and tears did not stop flowing from her eyes, soaking Rise’s clothes.

Rise nodded, closing his eyes.

"You’ve worked hard; now you’re not alone." Rise did not often voice out encouraging words, but some people were an exception, like Thalia.

As soon as Thalia heard that, tears pooled up in her eyes again, and she could not help but sob like a child finally coming home from the embrace of her guardian.

In a way, Rise was that figure for her, always had been.

Rise only soothed her back, letting her cry out.

His heart was also in such an overwhelming place at the moment, feeling surreal that he found someone like him, aware of this world’s nature.

At the other side, witnessing the two being so intimate for some reason made an awakward atmosphere. Hayes even felt like he was sitting in a pins and needles, wondering if he would need to escape early before everything went down.

He sneaked a glance at Kamille and still saw the same calm expression, but... This calmness was what made it so unsettling! Hayes whined in his heart.

Hayes looked at Rise and showed a look of pity.

You’re in it for a huge surprise after your lovely reunion.

Goodluck, Rise.
