Chapter 112: Real One
Chapter 112: Real One
Inside the black dome, there were not as intense guiding sessions as one would expect when these two were involved, especially in this Kamille’s state where the word calm was almost nonexistent.
Rise stayed in Kamille’s arms; neither of the two took the initiative to point this out. Rise would definitely not be one to spoil his own fun.
And so as they sat on the ground, surrounded by the ominious black fire. Rise took the comfortable position, sitting on Kamille’s lap, his head leaning on the other’s shoulders, looking pitifully weak.
His body was truly weak, so he was not acting.
"You should’ve let me kill them." Kamille mumbled, annoyance etched in his tone. His arms were wrapped tightly around Rise’s waist, and occasionally his fingers would stroke the area around them, giving a tickling yet comfortable sensation.
Rise could not help but laugh as he heard that. Sometimes, this Kamille was not just the wildest side of Kamille, which attributes to most of his extremes, but it also held the childish and immature side of Kamille.
"You can." Rise smiled and lifted his head as he met those beautiful crimson pupils. Actually, any color always fits Kamille, and he found them attractive in many ways. "But it will be a pity; they are quite important."
Rise also did not hide his emotions in them; his words were genuine. Kamille could kill all of them if so he wished, and Rise would not stop him so strongly. However, it would be unfortunate as they were important characters of the plan.
Not to mention Zenos, the second male lead of the novel, but Zarilan and the elders or the individuals of the same standing were just as necessary.
"Why?" Kamille’s red pupils flickered as he stared at Rise, seemingly gauging what he was thinking. There was always a hint of menacing glint on them, but an innocent curiosity was also present.
It was the stark contrast of the two that made Rise smile endearingly.
Perhaps it also made sense since this side of Kamille was always just hidden deep within him and sometimes not even seen the light of day for years.
Only recently did Kamille manage to let him out freely because of Rise’s presence.
"Why? Well," Rise paused and looked at Kamille as he pondered. He was always straightforward when it came to Kamille; he rarely lied to him. However, some information was sensitive for the current him to bear.
He remembered what the book answered when he asked if he could reveal what he knew to Kamille. Rise was aware that what he could do as one person was never enough for the whole, so the reason he formed an information network and in the plan to also organize new and strong forces under him.
For this same reason, if it were possible, Kamille’s presence was more than the worth of the forces he would form combined.
However, even if he did not expect too much, he was still a bit disappointed for the answer.
[It’s not time for him to be involved.]
[Revealing the information to him will do more harm than good.]
For some reason, the book’s tone on the page also shifted ominously, which made Rise convinced that something bad might happen once Kamille knew of everything.
He was not scared for his plans to go awry, but he would always be concerned with everything in which Kamille was involved.
Rise slowly smiled mysteriously. "They’re important for my plan."
Although he could not reveal everything to Kamille, it did not say he could not hint about it. Rise knew of his position and that Kamille found everything about him intriguing yet suscipicious at the same time.
No one was forbidding him to use this identity, which is by far one of his best cards.
"Plan?" Kamille narrowed his eyes slightly at him, and the two stared at each other.
One was smiling while the other was silently observing his expression; for a few seconds, their gazes remained locked like that, neither of the two spoke.
Eventually, as Rise expected, Kamille shrugged, but the corners of his lips lifted, as though stimulated about the idea.
"Well then," Kamille licked his lips; his pupils flashed one more, and his smirk slowly became apparent. "I’ll be waiting to witness that plan."
Rise giggled, leaned closer, smiling sweetly.
"You’re always welcome to participate."
Kamille’s expression dimmed slightly as he almost grumbled, "If only I could."
"You can,"
"Heh, as if. I don’t often get loose of my leash, you know that."
For some reason, instead of symphatizing, Rise laughed out loud. It was not that he did not pity him, but that the way he made it sound was ridiculous and funny.
"You’re still Kamille, so... Do the two of you differentiate yourself from each other?" This was one that Rise was curious about; it might be odd, but he never asked this to Kamille before.
The two seemed always separate despite being the same person in his mind before.
Surprisingly, Kamille did not even hesitate as he responded.
"We didn’t."
Rise slightly knitted his brow, not understanding.
Before continuing to explain, Kamille reached out and smoothed the crease between Rise’s brows.
"I am him; he is me. It’s always been that way."
"Then, why?"
This time, Kamille chuckled lowly. "Let me tell you a secret which my hypocrite self will not reveal."
Of course, that was questionable since he also knew that it was bound to be revealed by the rational side sooner, but he was petty and wanted to reveal it himself.
As he said, he was Kamille Han, and so was the other self; they were one and the same, but something was bound to be different.
Rise’s lips twitched slightly; he almost refuted if not for this being Kamille talking about himself. However, deep inside he still did not agree to call Kamille a hypocrite.
Still, he was quite curious.
"What secret?"
Did Kamille have a secret he did not know yet? No, this was not him being too big of himself, but he had been with Kamille for five years after all and also read the novel.
Of course, Kamille might have another secret that he had yet to reveal before.
Kamille slowly leaned closer until his lips were beside Rise’s right ear; he then whispered, tickling Rise with his breath.
"I’ve always been the real one."
Rise’s eyes widened slightly; his mouth even parted from shock. What? What did he mean by he was the real one? Suddenly, Rise felt he was too stupid to comprehend that.
"Shock?" A low, amused laughter then sounded beside his ears. "It’s the truth. Kamille doesn’t want to acknowledge me, that’s all."
What? What the hell? He still could not understand it. His brain might be malfunctioning this time.
Because... If it was the truth... Then, was Kamille’s real personality this? No way! He could not just believe that! Maybe, wild Kamille was pranking him! Right, wild Kamille always did that before, pranking him.
"Ah, shit." Kamille, the curse that made Rise snap out of his messy thoughts, turned and looked at his Guild Leader.
Their faces are now close to each other.
Kamille breathed and smirked.
"You don’t believe it?"
Rise nodded.
Kamille laughed; he did not seem offended, which further proved his suspicion that this Kamille was only pranking him as always.
"No matter, it isn’t too important. Both are me, whether this one, or that one." He smiled, then pulled Rise closer.
"He wants to take over," he laughed. Kamille appeared to find this amusing. "He’s embrassed. Oh, I mean, it should be; I’m embrassed?" Kamille laughed again.
He sounded crazy, but the type of inasanity that Rise would no doubt like still. Both of them were insane, after all.
Rise bit his lips, suppressing his smile. Kamille was sober and awake; he could remember everything that his wild side did. Technically, this was still Kamille, and so Rise did not want to laugh at his face, even though he found those words truly confusingly funny.
"Guide me," Unexpected, this came from wild Kamille’s mouth. "Oh, let me rephrase that, kiss me."
Kamille then traced Rise’s lips before chuckling.
"Hurry up, before he took over. Let me experience these lips in this state."
Come to think of it, it seemed Rise had never kissed Kamille when he was fully in this state. Most of the time he was only half in this state, meaning there was still the rational side lingering that kept everything at bay.
For some reason, Rise gulped and became excited. This Kamille was one that held of Kamille’s extremes, so then... when kissing...
"I can hear your thoughts," Kamille hooked his lips. "Why don’t you try?"
With laughter, Kamille claimed Rise’s lips, someone who would not hesitate as long as he already decided it.
Rise was only startled for a moment before he also smiled between their lips as he succumbed to the kiss.
As the embodiment of Kamille’s extreme side, the way he kissed was also apparent and lingering. It was both aggressive and passionate; the way his tongue licked every corner of Rise’s mouth and sometimes sucking on his tongue made the kiss more sensual than usual.
Their tongues played with each other, with Kamille not slightly concerned with saliva drippeing from their chin. It was such a messy kiss, and yet it was also pleasurable in its own way.
That messy kiss took minutes before it slowly mellowed to a passionate one. Rise already knew at this point that the normal Kamille had returned.
As they withdrew, Rise was already tightly hanging his arms around Kamille’s neck.
"You’re back," he smiled.
Kamille wiped the saliva on Rise’s chin, which also had his own saliva on the mix.
"I’ve always been here." As the wild Kamille said, both were one and the same. His tone was calm, as though his wild side’s antics did not affect him in the slightest.
Rise laughed and embraced him as he exhaled. And if he noticed the shades of pink at the tip of Kamille’s earlobe, he pretended he didn’t.
He’s shy... Why is my Guild Leader so cute?
