Chapter 101: Chapter 101

Watts couldn’t help sighing; it was really impressive he could do all that without ever being discovered and keeping his ’quiet and always alone’ persona at the same time.

"Oh, Watts? Didn’t know you were coming today?" a voice came from behind.

Hearing the voice, Watts turned slowly with a smile, "Hello boss."

There behind him was a dude who seemed to create his own gravity wit his belly, greasily beard and chubby cheeks.

This was Mr. Flemington, his supervisor. He was in his forties, and although he looked to be like those arrogant old men in suits, he really was a chill man.

Now Watts had gotten recommended to this job by Chloe’s mother, he knew it although no one really ever said it.

After all he was just a normal dude hassling in LA like any other person trying to make ends meet, but the moment he helps Chloe and becomes her friend, he suddenly has this opportunity to work at LAX.

Now that’s not a coincidence.

And despite being a dark horse, the dude didn’t really treat him bad, in fact, they were rather good friends.

They even went out sometimes for some buzz after work, and although Flemington was a bit loaded money-wise, he didn’t show it.

That is one of the reasons they hit it off so well, and truth be told, everyone here loved this big man. The same reason Watts decided to come in person to quit.

With a smile on his face, Watts reached out for a fist bump.

Flemington just looked at the Watt’s fist with a deadpan so cold you would mistake it for Antarctica, "What’re you doin?"

"Come on Flems, don’t act like you didn’t miss me," Watts smirked as he took down his hand.

Flemington shook his head and sighed, "To my office," turned and started walking, seeing as Watts wasn’t following, "Now." He shouted.

"Coming boss," Watts smiled as he caught up with his friend to the office.

In Flemington’s office, the two friends were seated across each other in silence that none bothered to break. A few minutes later, Flemington seemed to have had enough and so said.

"So mind telling me where the fuck you’ve been?"

Watts sighed with a small smile, "Dude, even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe."

"Hmhmm," Fleming replied, totally not buying Watt’s attempt at a ’joke’, "Yeah? Then try me." He continued with a deadpan.

"So, I found out that I have super powers, like real superpowers. And apparently, am not the only one, many people on this planet have them but have kept it a secret, in fact, they even have secret cities around the world." Watts replied with a smile.

Of course he wasn’t a fool, he absolutely knew no sane person would believe such a story, he even made sure that the way he said it, it would come out as a joke.

And if for some God damn reason someone with powers heard him, he never said anything important or anything pointing him to the previous waves he has been making, and most importantly, he didn’t say his powers.

But the chances of anyone out there listening in to his conversation without his knowledge was practically impossible considering the fact that he now had a better handle on his death ability after a good night’s sleep.

He was practically death, an aspect of the very universe, and any living thing had that one day when it will be claimed by death.

And so, he could see each and everyone’s life like a book, the past, the future, the present.

In fact even if one used just cameras from a distance, the very fact that someone was spying on death itself, Watts would know who that person is.

Just merely thinking of him would be like pinging your location to him, that is why he currently has the location and background of all the dudes who thought were scheming against his clone in the hidden city.

After all when you stare in the void enough, it stare back at you

And all this improvement was just after a night’s sleep, the advantages of being a supreme human, the rate at which he adapted to this terrifying power was horrifying.

Death was not an easy aspect to control, in fact it was one of the most feared elements out there, even by typical gods, after all even gods die.

It was practically impossible to control.

Even the very few who had it, or to say, a version of it, took hundreds of years to acquire the amount of control he had with true death now.

That’s how death is, terrifying.

So Watts was pretty much sure his conversation was safe, as for why he even said it, well, what else but to see what he was about to see.

"Pfft...pfft... hahahahaha," that was Fleming’s reply.

The dude had tried not to laugh but the way Watts looked serious with the ridiculous story was really amusing he couldn’t help but laugh.

And in doing so, he gave Watts exactly what he wanted to see in the first place.

The shaking of gravity. Yes, Fleming could shake gravity itself just by laughing.

And no, its not a superpower, it’s a belly power, a power that only people with ridiculously large bellies could conjure.

Watts couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight of Fleming’s shaking belly, it was really one of the reasons he liked to make Fleming laugh.

"Aaah ha, you really made my day Jack, I guess I really did miss your jokes after all," Fleming said as he calmed down his laughter after a minute.

Watts just gave him a smirk in response.

Fleming however asked, "But seriously though, what’s up with you?"

He was really a bit worried that Watts was in some kind of trouble, after all this was the first time Watts acted like this.

"Aah, it’s a long story," Watts replied without explaining at all."

Fleming looked at his friend for a moment and sighed, "You can keep your secrets Jack, I wont pry. Just know if you’re ever in need of help, am always here for you."

Watts smiled back and said, "Appreciate it boss, really."

"Okay then, lets get you back to work, its been long enough," Flemings sighed as he stood up with a bit of difficulty.

"Oh yeah, about that."
