Chapter 100: Chapter 100

Watts was a bit surprised by the language used since Eve had never seemed like someone who would curse like that. But he could completely understand how she felt.

She really did treat him like her own son. And knowing that he had gone after a dangerous organization all on his own, and that he hadn’t communicated since then, she must have been extremely worried.

"Uuh, I don’t know, but should you really use the ’f’ word in the same sentence as Jesus?" Watts replied with a small chuckle.

"Oh, I said that aloud?" she seemed surprised with herself. "Though it really isn’t my fault with that silly stunt you pulled yesterday," she continued.

Watts could only smile a bit. Honestly, he really didn’t know what to tell her right now.

Eve, now serious, asked, "And by the way, what the fuck was that? Huh? Like what the hell happened? One moment I’m being held captive, the next moment I’m home. Plus... who were those people?" she rambled on.

"Um, those are a lot of questions. Uhm, how about I come there and then we can talk?" Watts replied, a bit embarrassed.

"It really doesn’t matter. In fact, I don’t even want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I was just a bit frustrated. All that matters is whether you’re okay!" Eve sighed heavily in frustration but asked with genuine concern.

"You don’t have to worry. I am perfectly fine. In fact, I will come there to visit soon," Watts reassured her.

Sighing in relief, she said, "Chloe has been worried..." but before she could even finish, Watts could hear Chloe on the other side, screaming at the top of her voice, "IS THAT WATTS?"

And then the next second, she was the one on the phone, "Watts!" she called out excitedly. Watts could still hear Eve in the background telling her to take it slow—which, obviously, Chloe ignored like a pro.

Watts smiled a bit and teased her, "Wasap there, detective?"

"Hey, my plan would have worked if you hadn’t crushed it," she replied, full of mock anger.

However, this time Watts wouldn’t let her off so easily. He had to make her understand that doing things as stupid as that had consequences. Next time, she might get herself killed.

And although he could bring her back to life with minimal effort, he didn’t want her to experience what death felt like at such a young age.

"I will have to talk to your mum about it, you know?" he simply said.

"What?" she whispered a shout, shocked. "But I thought you were my friend?" she asked.

"I am. And that is exactly why I will be doing it. I don’t want you to get yourself killed because of your silly plans, Chloe. This isn’t a game," he sighed.

"I know it was silly, okay? But can we leave this between us? Pretty please!" Chloe whispered in a small, pleading tone toward the phone. She sounded on the verge of tears.

She knew Watts was weak to her cute pleas; she just had to find the right buttons to press, and everything else would work out just fine. She always got out of trouble, and today wasn’t going to be different.

Or so she thought.

Watts smirked, saying, "I’m coming there tomorrow. Let’s see if you can ’cute’ yourself out of your mom’s clutches."

"WHAT?" Chloe shouted in surprise. She wasn’t expecting such a reply. Was this the same Watts? Because her Watts, the moment she started ’crying,’ would sigh and take her for ice cream to appease her.

Watts, on the other hand, smirked even more and immediately hung up before she could come out of her stupor.

Of course, he knew her game; he usually pampered her a lot, after all. And every time she fake cried, he could, of course, see through it. He just found her cuter when she was faking it and thinking that he didn’t catch on.

But this time, he had to make sure she learned the consequences of her actions, and he was damn sure her mom would do such a good job disciplining her.

Honestly, even Watts was scared of that woman when she was angry. Like seriously, you don’t want to anger her, or you would forever regret it.

He had to find that out the hard way.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Chloe looked at the phone in her hand. Had Watts just refused to give in to her ’cute’ plea?

She frowned a bit, touching her face, slightly tilting her head to the side.

"It must be because I’m growing older; my cuteness is reducing," she groaned in frustration.

Thinking of growing older, she shivered.

She had to make sure she remained cute, and that means never, never ever coming near growing old. But it seems old age was catching up to her.

Now even the ’stupid’ Watts was no longer being affected by her cuteness, something she would not allow.

"But first, I have to make sure he doesn’t tell mom, or else I’m in deep shit!" she mumbled.

.................

Watts looked at the time; it was coming towards 10 a.m., so he decided to first leave the games and finish some of the things on his bucket list.

And first of those was officially quitting from his job.

After all, his boss had given him a week, which was the previous week, meaning that this week, he was expected to be at work.

But seeing as he was now the richest man on normal Earth, there wasn’t a reason to go back to his old job.

He could have just called there or sent a message, but he wanted to say goodbye to his old boss; that dude had really helped him out.

Although most of the times he was a strict dude, the guy had heart.

Plus, he didn’t have anything better to do right now, so in just five minutes, he finished up and set off.

He went directly to the parking lot and got his Kawasaki and zoomed off in the early morning sun. Since it was morning, the streets were too damn busy with everyone trying to get to work and all that shit.

But Watts always enjoyed times like these, speeding between the traffic, feeling the morning wind rushing against his face, leaving all the cars behind unhinged.

It was one of his favorite times.

He couldn’t count the number of times he had been given a speeding ticket, but he somehow found himself getting carried away every time.

Maybe it was the feeling of freedom he got, the feeling of being free, free like the wind, or maybe something else. But all he knew is that he liked it.

Though this time around, he couldn’t really enjoy the rushing wind, provided he could make out all the pollution in it, and it was disgusting.

He had to actively stop his nose from smelling all the molecules in the air not to vomit.

Anyway, in 8 minutes, he reached the airport, parked his bike in the employee parking lot, and walked to where he knew his previous boss would be right now, the city side.

A few minutes later of constant security checks and card checkings and friend greeting and all that shit, he reached the reception.

"Hi, Sherry," Watts greeted the redhead seated at the reception.

When she saw him, her eyes lit up like candles in the night, excitedly beckoning him to follow her after telling her neighbor to cover for her.

"Jesus Christ, Watts, where the fuck have you been?" she exclaimed as she grabbed him and literally pulled him along as he desperately tried to say hi to the other receptionist, Sherry’s friend, who by this time was already used to Sherry’s shenanigans.

"You know what? Doesn’t matter. All that matters is that I need some watering right about now," was all Sherry said as she dragged him to the locker room.

Okay then, guys, you got me. Watts might have had another reason for coming back to the airport just for saying bye.

You see, he and Sherry are real good friends, and before you ask, yes, they are friends and nothing more.

But they might have at some point turned into friends with benefits.

After all, Watts is a man, a well-endowed one at that, so he sometimes found himself in tight spots, and the only way to escape is through those tight holes.

So, yeah.

The locker room at this time was a bit full with workers, but hey, they had done this a lot of times, so they could evade literally anyone to reach their not-so-’secret’ place, considering Watts might have brought other... friends here to... ahem.

Point is, Watts gave Sherry what she wanted and then some.

And now that he was a Supreme human progenitor, humans adored him, but he found out he could drive humans crazy with just a touch.

Sherry literally orgasmed with a touch, twice.

Anyway, back to the story, a little over 30 minutes later, they came out of the locker room.

"Damn, how starved have I been? I mean, you have always been good, but... wow, just wow. How did you do it?" Sherry couldn’t help herself.

"Yeah?" Watts asked.

"For real. God, I’m gonna miss you, Watts," she purred.

"Well, you know where I stay. You feel a bit dehydrated, just give me a call, and I’m gonna work to make sure you never feel dehydrated ever again," Watts laughed, with Sherry joining in.

"I’m sure you will. Anyway, see you later. Gotta go back to that damn desk," she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and then ran off.

Leaving Watts with a smile, shaking his head.

Sherry was really a free spirit, and maybe that is what he really liked about her. She didn’t ask where he had been, didn’t ask why he was quitting, didn’t ask where he will be working next; she knew he would tell her anyway.

She was just a bit ’heartbroken’ he won’t be there for their usual lunch break escapades.

Watts couldn’t help sighing; it was really impressive he could do all that without ever being discovered and keeping his ’quiet and always alone’ persona at the same time.

"Oh, Watts? Didn’t know you were coming today?" a voice came from behind.
