Chapter 62: Battle against TAGNOK [2]

The gust of wind that escaped from the beasts mouth tore into Rhett who staggered and fell down. The man beside him was relentless, dashing into the wind, his face stern and determined.

"Spinning tail unleashed", screamed the man. A card appeared in his hands and he read the contents while he ran.

It was: [SPINNING TAIL BEAST SPECIAL ACTIVATED !]

The wind blew the man’s butt, it raised him up by the butt and tossed him into a backflip. As he was somersaulting, in the twinkle of an eye, a tail was on his butt and it swirled and twirled and swirled.

Rhett couldn’t hide a gasp as he stared at the man’s tail rolling round and round like a windmill. The man, like a berk, ran towards the beast, a shout coming out of his mouth in a ferocious manner. The tail served as a propeller and the man felt like a helicopter.

The man crashed into TAGNOK, who tried to wave him off with a shove or some show of physical strength. The tail spinned and rotated, rolling round and round on TAGNOK’S face. TAGNOK groaned, pushing the man away but the latter seemed more determined and he persisted.

Rhett saw this as an opportunity to do something.

’Stay calm and focused and it’ll happen’, he said within himself. ’Be calm and focused, be calm and focused’.

A great force lifted him off his feets and jolted him backwards. He fell down hard and held his breath, sensing a berserk energy wanting to come out of him.

Rhett groaned.

"C’mon dude", said the man, his spinning tale starting to go down and TAGNOK now gaining momentum on him. "Do something already, do something, use your power!"

A very hard pain hit Rhett in the chest now:

"Unleashed!", he screamed out loud and that was it. The sky rumbled and a bolt of lightning shot out of it, striking him straight into the chest. He screamed and even TAGNOK had to pause, the man fighting him also.

Rhett fell to his knees, his face downwards, spitting dark substances from his mouth. And then...

He screamed: "Aaaaarghhh!".

A white shadow like a spirit dragon came out of him , rolled around him and then, with a loud unisonly done gasp, the spirit dragon shot back into him. Rhett realized that the dragon that came out of him looked like the rain dragon he didn’t kill back at the forest, even though Dhamsel had killed it. This seemed to be its spirit.

What Rhett wanted to know was why it came out of him.TAGNOK was thrust into a temporary shock, he shoved the man he had been fighting now and sauntered up to Rhett .

Rhett still bent over on the ground. His face a frown and just at that moment, he felt very strong. TAGNOK paused when he was almost near him. His face was a twisted grimace of perhaps shock, awe, or maybe fear?.

Rhett stood up slowly now, his face shrouded in power?- perhaps?. TAGNOK said to him almost casually as if he was talking to a ’ long time no see friend’:

"That is not power...".

TAGNOK paused and looked at him for long and with the crowd cheering for a fight, he ran over to the other man who laid on the floor and devoted (note the play of words) his fists into the man’s face.

The punch was so thick, it broke the man’s neck and made it twist in a very unusual manner ( backwards).

"That’s power!", TAGNOK said In a loud and fierce voice, pointing to the dead man.

Rhett boiled with fury. He was now a totally different person, he was now ferocious.

"You’ve done enough you monster!", said Rhett . "You may be one of the strongest and fiercest beasts in this realm but I’m fiercer!".

TAGNOK laughed - more of a chuckle really. "Oh!, no..., no..., no!. Didn’t they tell you to get your life’s sake? Didn’t they?". The beast’s accent was very mocking and it sounded sort of demure.

Rhett was speechless, he tried to fathom the talk from TAGNOK but couldn’t come up with anything.

You have to know that you are not powerful in this realm", said TAGNOK. "You used ’fiercer’, you don’t know this realm like I do",the beast’s voice was now in a whisper.

Rhett tried to maintain the fierceness on his face.

The therret monster continued:

"I’ve killed many warriors who come here. I’ve killed many people stronger than you.. Even a man that came here claiming he was a demigod. I killed him too. I’ve killed so many warriors I’ve lost count. Anybody that comes to this realm faces me, unless I’m busy then another monster can take my place".

Rhett remained silent, looking him in the eyes.

"And what makes you think you can defeat me. Cut out the dramatic stuff", the monster now spoke in a whisper. "You’re just entertaining the audience though. No one has battled against me and has survived. No one and you won’t be an exemption!".

Rhett was getting terrified now.

The monster stared at Rhett, directly in the eyes, it spooked him.

"I’ve always fancied killing a dragon slayer".

Rhett released his breath, one that due to the intimidation, didn’t know he had been holding because of the fear he was experiencing.

TAGNOK quickly delved a punch into his face and he went backwards in a THUD!.

The therret beast smirked. "Like I said before, I’ve always wanted to kill a dragon slayer, but I never knew I would be killing the king, the king of the damn dragon slayers!"

Rhett stood up quickly and threw a punch to the left of the monster. The monster nodded the hand with his hard claws and Rhett had to shout:

"It hurts!".

TAGNOK gave him another punch and he fell down. The beast quickly grabbed a sword and with a loud voice it said: "Your soul is mine!", it thrust the sword down towards the chest of Rhett who was stunned and speechless to react.
