I Married A Degraded Alpha
Chapter 56: Trouble for Tuss

Chapter 56: Trouble for Tuss

When Ender learned that Tuss had been out since morning without returning, he immediately tried to reach him, but his attempts also failed.

"I don’t have Officer Lyao’s contact information, but my grandpa does. I’ll ask him," Ender said.

Yuri nodded, "I appreciate it."

"Don’t worry about it, Tuz is my best friend. Maybe Officer Lyao just held him back," Ender reassured her.

Yuri nodded, but she was less optimistic. If Officer Lyao had held him back, Tuss would certainly have sent her a message, instead of leaving her without a hint of information.

While waiting, Yuri gathered some suppressants, sedatives, Nutrient Fluids, and some commonly used healing medicines. She even changed into loose clothes, suitable for active movements.

After finishing these, she waited for another two minutes until Ender’s call finally came through.

Looking at Ender’s anxious face, her heart tightened. "What did Officer Lyao say?"

"Tuz left his place at four in the afternoon," Ender responded gravely.

Yuri pushed open the door and left her room, quickly descending the stairs, "Thank you."

"Officer Lyao has already sent people to look for him, and I will notify others to help search. Don’t worry too much," Ender reassured her again.

Yuri nodded.

By then, she had activated her mecha and quickly climbed into the cockpit. Watching her on the other end of the line, Ender had a strange feeling.

At that moment, Yuri was just like another Tuss.

But could that be? Ender shook his head. Yuri’s just an omega.

"I’m going out to look for him now. Contact me if you get any news," Yuri said, ending the call.

The mecha lifted off, and Yuri activated the scanning function. She didn’t know where Tuss might be, so she performed a systematic search, with the manor as the center, constantly extending in all directions.

She flew the mecha at a low, steady speed. In addition to the mecha’s built-in scanning function, she also extended her own psychic power.

After Enova’s advancement to level four, her psychic power’s detection range had expanded from hundreds to now a kilometer.

Tuss’s disappearance, like a rising tide of darkness, swept over the entire high command of the Alliance.

Inside the large conference room, officers who should have been home sleeping sat with their faces stern and heavy.

"The test results just came out yesterday, and he disappeared today. Who leaked the information? I want it thoroughly investigated!" Officer Lyao on the main seat was livid.

The Alliance had waited decades for an SS-tier, but within a day, the enemy had made him disappear.

This indicated there was a traitor among them, and this traitor held a high position within the Alliance.

Tuss’s situation was likely grim.

Officer Lyao’s face was dark. Such a remarkably gifted individual was a once-in-a-century occurrence for the Alliance. He felt as though his heart was bleeding.

"Mobilize all the military forces we can and find him!"

As time ticked by, Yuri’s heart continued to sink. From four o’clock to now eleven, seven hours has passed. Can Tuss have held on for so long? Are the enemy after his life or were they just trying to capture him?

Yuri felt it was the former, but emotionally, she hoped it was the latter.

Tuss, you must hold on. Wait for me.

Many mechas and flying vehicles appeared in the sky above Planet Alpha, signaling that this night was out of the ordinary. Someone posted a video online, asking, "Does anyone know what’s happening?"

"No idea, but it must be big."

"Seems like they’re chasing someone."

"Or maybe looking for someone."

"If any of you noticed anything unusual today, you can mention it on the official website."

"I do know something odd. My uncle’s farm on the outskirts somehow lost all signal tonight. They went to check at eight this evening and still haven’t come back."

"Could it be related?"

"No idea, our family is planning to call the police."

...

When Yuri received Ender’s communication request, her heart was in her throat. "Did you find him?"

A mix of sorrow and heaviness was evident on Ender’s face. His voice was hoarse when he replied, "I’ll send you the location. Come here first."

Yuri felt her vision blacken, her body go limp, and she collapsed in her chair. In a barely audible whisper, she said, "Okay."

Receiving the location, Yuri manipulated the mecha using her psychic power, pushing the mecha’s speed to its maximum.

Ender ended the call, looking at the police line not far away, his eyes filled with grief.

Just yesterday they were still drinking together, laughing together...

A tear slipped down Ender’s face as he walked involuntarily towards the police line.

"Stay back, alpha," a soldier stopped Ender.

Ender’s eyes were red. "Are you really running out of ways?"

The soldier looked at him sympathetically. "Whether there is a way or not, as a student of Military Academy No. 1, you should understand better than me."

Ender’s heart ached. Because he understood it better, it hurt even more.

"If he’s lucky, he might still be alive," the soldier said coolly.

"But he’ll be a shell," Ender responded quietly.

The soldier remained silent. Between dying and becoming a shell, he would rather choose the former.

Not far away, Officer Lyao, after hearing the report from his subordinate, said with a murderous look, "They really are ruthless, giving up twenty-two SS-tiers just like that."

"They are SS-tier on the verge of psychic breakdown. In exchange for one of our SSS-tiers, they’ve made a big gain," another officer said.

"Not a single survivor?" Officer Lyao asked, not giving up hope.

"Our men are only on the outskirts. We cannot know what happened inside. Any detection devices lose signal as soon as they approach," the subordinate responded.

"Then we wait. We’ll find evidence," Officer Lyao gritted his teeth, his sharp eyes filled with burning anger.

Yuri’s mecha approached from a distance, its high speed breathtaking.

The soldiers on guard initially wanted to stop her, but when they recognized the familiar red and green, they immediately let her through.

The moment Yuri exited the mecha, she heard the sound of gut-wrenching sobbing.

It was Daleks.

In a blink, she was a hundred meters away.

Daleks only felt a gust of wind coming at him. The next second, his arm was forcefully grabbed, the bones nearly crushed.

"Why are you crying?"

Daleks heard a voice as cold as ice, causing his body to shiver. He looked through his tear-blurred vision at the person in front of him and reached out to hug her, but she evaded him.

"Why are you crying?" Yuri asked again, her beautiful eyes as red as if blood would flow from them.

"Tuz... Tuz... his Sea of Consciousness has erupted..." Daleks choked out before bursting into tears once again.

Yuri felt weak, about to fall over, but Ender caught her in time.

"Yuri, take care," Ender said, not knowing what else to say.

Yuri steadied herself with his hand, taking a deep breath and asking, "Where is he?"

"Inside." Ender pointed towards the area surrounded by troops.

"I have to go in." Yuri declared firmly.

Ender shook his head. "It’s useless. Tuz is in a delirium, he won’t recognize anyone. Right now, he’s no different from a wild beast, knowing nothing but killing."

"No, I have a way. The one who was able to calm the rampaging alphas on Planet 814, it was me."
