I Married A Degraded Alpha
Chapter 191: All Died

Chapter 191: All Died

Countless eyes from the Alliance were tuned into the battle taking place on Planet 4581, except for the two people who were the most involved in the Planet 4581 affair, who were currently lying unconscious in the healing pod.

Warships, one after another, were being destroyed, and mechas were exploding in mid-air...

People watching the live stream couldn’t help but cry.

"When will reinforcements arrive?"

"They’re on their way, should be no more than forty minutes. The military forces from nearby planets will get here."

"What about Yuri and Tuss? Everyone sacrificed their lives for their kid, what are those two doing?"

"Look, you probably don’t know, but even at the fastest speed, it takes three days to return from the ore planet."

"That’s exactly why the enemy chose this time to attack."

"..."

Officer Ryu, who had been monitoring online discussions, frowned at this and strode towards the infirmary. He opened his opticomputer and took a picture of Yuri and Tuss, who were unconscious in the healing pods. Then he uploaded it to the interstellar network, with the note that they had been carried out of their mechas and had been unconscious since. They knew nothing about what was happening.

In the high-definition picture, Yuri and Tuss were pale, and even after several hours, they showed no signs of color.

Their picture quickly drew a lot of attention.

"Hadn’t we been told about this, I would have thought these were corpses. They are obviously unconscious, and you still want to wake them up to save their own child?"

"Everyone, be mindful of your words. If they were just a little more selfish, their child would still be in Yuri’s belly, safe and sound."

"Yeah, exactly, the warriors of Planet 4581 haven’t said anything, you guys should just shut up."

"It’s the enemy we should be angry at, let’s not fight amongst ourselves."

"..."

The discordant voices on the internet disappeared, and everyone’s attention returned to the battle.

Outside the defense line, a medium-sized warship silently appeared.

"Reinforcements will arrive in half an hour, should we make a move?"

"At this point, if we don’t kill Yuri’s child, will you be content?"

"If we don’t make Yuri suffer, the second prince will not let us off easily."

As the Space-sparkle pirates and the stationed warriors were fiercely fighting, a medium-sized warship broke into the airspace of Planet 4581 without warning and fired directly at the station.

"Another one is here."

"Get up there and stop it."

"Damn, I didn’t get a chance to write my will."

"Write it now."

"Hurry up, we got only a few minutes left."

"Set the course, you guys go down, I’ll ram into it."

"Okay, we’ll see you later."

"I’m eighteen, but I’m brave. I’m not scared."

"Leave a message for Officer Yuri for me. Tell her that my little brother also wants to join her troops, ask her to give him a chance."

"No problem, I’ve got it recorded. Officer Yuri is amazing. She remembers all of us and can call out our names correctly. You and your brother look so alike, she won’t mistake him for someone else."

"That would be great. Goodbye, my brothers, I’m charging now."

"Goodbye."

"See you soon."

The small warship was firing cannons while rushing towards the medium-sized warship at full speed.

"Damn, another daredevil. Quick, dodge!" one Space-sparkle pirate suddenly yelled.

"It’s too fast. We won’t make it, brace for impact."

"Crap, it’s bizarre. They’re willing to die for a woman’s child."

With a loud boom, the small starship was destroyed, and the medium starship, damaged and unstable, began to fall from the sky. Just before the ship crashed, all its crew members managed to escape.

Boom.

The ground exploded, creating a crater nearly a hundred meters deep.

"I’ll deal with them. You guys go find that little runt."

Inside the refuge, Xiva and his group of a few dozen people had taken over a corner. He held a womb-like device, about the same size as himself, in his arms. With sharp, piercing eyes, he warned the crowd around him, "In case enemies hide among you, please keep your distance from us."

Hearing this, the crowd retreated.

At this point, a clear zone of four or five meters appeared around Xiva and his group.

Edgar, Cass, Priscilla, and others stood in front of Xiva, guns in hand, while Xiva placed the artificial womb on the ground and set up protective shields around it.

"Why can we only layer five shields? When will the Alliance be able to layer ten?" Xiva huffed.

"We’re working on it. One day we’ll get there," someone comforted Xiva.

Of course, Xiva knew that day would come; he was just anxious and couldn’t help complaining.

In the large refuge, everyone remained silent and still. Even those with children kept them entertained with cartoons and snacks to prevent them from making a noise.

They knew that in this way, if there were enemies among them, their actions would stand out, and they and the soldiers would be able to detect them immediately.

Time ticked away, with the arrival of reinforcements nearing.

Everyone sat on the ground, watching the clock on the opticomputer and the broadcasts on the interstellar network.

"Fifteen minutes left, warriors and citizens of Planet 4581, hang in there."

"Ten minutes left, everyone grit your teeth, reinforcements are almost here."

"Eight minutes left, stay strong everyone."

"..."

Outside the refuge, the sky’s blaze gradually faded. Among the thousands of mecha warriors stationed, none survived.

The Space-Sparkle pirates were also greatly reduced in number. From the tens of thousands that came, only a few hundred remained. They had won, but there was no joy on their faces. Instead, they were filled with fear and couldn’t help the chill that ran down their spines.

Those mecha warriors were terrifying, they were like madmen, fearless of death. They would explode themselves to drag down the pirates. This was how the pirates’ numbers were depleted.

If there were a dozen more of those mecha warriors, these few hundred pirates would likely be completely wiped out.

"What should we do now?" someone asked hoarsely.

"Where is Yuri’s child?"

"In the refuge. Our people have sent us the location."

"Then let’s bombard it."

Hundreds of mechas flew in one direction.

When the first shell hit, the roof of the refuge shuddered.

"Everyone, stay calm. The refuge can withstand even a level eleven bombardment. We’re safe," Edgar shouted.

"That’s right. They will never get in. Everyone, stay where you are and don’t panic," Cass followed, soothing the crowd.

"Five minutes left. The reinforcements will be here in five minutes. Let’s hang on a little longer," Priscilla opened a light screen, displaying messages from the reinforcements and a timer.

After these words from the three of them, the previously terrified crowd calmed down. Only a few young children were huddled in their parents’ arms, crying softly.
