I Married A Degraded Alpha -
Chapter 179: Officer Yuri’s Mecha
Chapter 179: Officer Yuri’s Mecha
When Yuri spoke, everyone present thought they were hallucinating.
It was a widely accepted truth that once a beta was fully marked, they couldn’t enter the Consciousness Sea of another alpha, or even sense it.
But Yuri just claimed that she could.
They didn’t believe her.
Yuri knew they didn’t, and said, "Let’s let the facts speak for themselves."
Without further delay, Yuri’s mighty psychic power surged toward the six hundred alphas. Everywhere she turned, there was absolute awe and dominance, silencing the alphas instantly.
Then, she began to sever mental threads, reinforcing their Consciousness Sea shields.
The whole process only took ten minutes.
The onlookers were stunned. What’s going on? Did Tuss marking goes wrong?
Yuri knew what they wanted to ask, but she had something more important to say, "I think I just heard someone mention unidentified battleships above the planet."
"Commander Ho is already intercepting them," Xiva replied, still dazed.
"I’ll check it out. Can you guide everyone on Planet 4581 to the shelters?" Yuri asked.
Xiva frowned, "Has it gotten that bad?"
The answer was the fiery sky and a horde of enemy mechas.
"It seems worse than we thought," Yuri said grimly. "Those with mechas, follow me. The rest, help the citizens evacuate to the shelters. Quickly."
Her red-green mecha rose into the air. Other mechas followed suit, each one tailing the red-green mecha.
Looking at the stunned alphas, Xiva yelled, "Can you still move?"
"We can," the alphas croaked back.
"Then do what you’re supposed to." Xiva ordered.
"Yes."
The alphas sprang into action.
In the sky above Planet 4581, two battleships were locked in fierce combat.
Inside the Alliance battleship’s command room, the atmosphere was tense.
"The Space-sparkle pirates really are in the top three," a sergeant grumbled.
"Right now, our priority is to stop their mechas from reaching the ground. If they land, they’ll wreak havoc. There won’t be a single creature left on 4581," another sergeant warned.
"We know that, but we’re struggling just to intercept their battleship. Where do we find the resources to stop their mechas?"
"All six hundred alphas, all six hundred mecha warriors, ruined. Gosh... Those Empire scoundrels..."
"You command here, I’ll intercept the mechas," the man at the main seat said.
"Commander, don’t. They have thousands of mechas and we have only a dozen people," someone tried to stop him.
"We can’t just do nothing." The man kept walking.
"We should go, you stay."
"Yes, we’ll go. You stay and hold the fort."
The others got up to leave.
"Huh, there are people coming from the ground. Quite a few," in the space, some Alliance’s soldier staring at the screen suddenly said.
"I thought they all lost control. Who’s coming up?"
"The one leading is the red-green mecha, that’s Officer Yuri. Apart from her, many other mechas are taking off one after another."
"The Alliance’s reinforcements arrived so soon..."
"No, those are our station’s mechas, our alphas."
"Who resolved the alphas’ Consciousness Sea revolt?"
"Who cares who it was, first we need to defeat these pirates. Commander, you stay here, we’re going out."
"Be careful."
"Yes, sir."
With a five to six-meter sword, the red-green mecha, piloted by Yuri, went straight for the enemy’s power units. The tough outer shell of the enemy mecha was cut through as if it was butter.
With their power units destroyed, the enemy was doomed.
At that moment, Yuri kicked a disabled enemy mecha to an Alliance soldier, "Take this to the ground, remember, gently, don’t damage it. And, the pilot inside is only knocked out, once you get to the ground, drag them out and kill them. Repeat, drag them out first, don’t get these mechas dirty."
The Alliance soldier: "...Yes."
He could only do as told, carefully bringing the powerless mecha back to the ground.
Not only that soldier heard Yuri’s words, but everyone on the public communication channel did.
Then, quickly, they all received similar orders - to bring all powerless mechas from the pirates back to the ground.
The soldiers gingerly transported the enemy’s mechas back to the ground, dragged the pilots out, and took them down, careful not to splatter a single drop of blood on these mechas.
Yuri’s actions were swift and efficient, unmatched in speed. By the time the pirates realized their numbers were dwindling, it was too late.
The pirates began to retreat towards their battleship.
They were scared.
This Yuri was indeed as fearsome as the legends.
Even though she was fully marked, even though she was pregnant, her combat power hadn’t decreased at all.
The pirates now realized how stupid it was to invade the territory of a woman who dared to confront a level-eight insectoid alone. They began to resent their leader Nick, for he had made a most irrational decision.
The pirates wanted to escape, but Yuri wasn’t going to let them. If the prey she had in her grasp flew away, that would be a disgrace to her reputation.
Yuri rushed to the pirates, and with a kick, sent them back.
"Officer Yuri, we’re here to help. Don’t worry, we won’t hurt stain your mecha."
"Hey, let’s catch them together."
And so, a comical scene unfolded in the sky. The red-green mecha either pulled or kicked the fleeing mechas back, and the waiting Alliance soldiers jumped on them together, grabbing legs and arms, hitting heads, and stunned the pirates inside the mechas.
With Yuri and the soldiers’ combined efforts, the pirates’ thousands of mechas were all defeated. Aside from the ones blown up by artillery fire on the spot, Yuri harvested nearly five to six hundred mechas.
With all the enemy mechas taken care of, there was only one battleship left.
Yuri was contemplating whether or not to help when Tuss’s voice came over the public communication channel. "Yuri, return to the ground. Leave the rest to us. Everyone, go with her and make sure she doesn’t wander off."
"Sir, Officer Yuri is too fast, we can’t keep up." Everyone expressed their difficulty.
"She’s pregnant, all you have to do is make sure she doesn’t overwork herself." Tuss’s voice held a hint of helplessness.
As Tuss’s words rang out, the public communication channel fell into an eerie silence.
After a while.
"Officer Yuri, let’s return to the ground. The child shouldn’t see all this violence."
"Right, all this violence is too bloody, it’s not good for prenatal education."
"You should go home and rest, you’ve exhausted yourself today. I’m going to find a medic now, to have them come and check on the baby."
"We’ll help you transport the mechas back to base. Don’t worry, not a single one will be missing."
"...."
Everyone was talking at once, giving Yuri a headache. All she could do was agree. "Alright, alright, I understand, I’m going back now."
At that moment, Tuss sent her a message: Be good, everyone’s watching you.
