I Married A Degraded Alpha -
Chapter 145: Seeking Yuri’s Help
Chapter 145: Seeking Yuri’s Help
Eventually, the feud between Astra, Zenitha, and Electra, along with the soldiers and the alphas, ended up on the interstellarnet.
"So, three SSS-tier couldn’t beat one Yuri?"
"Those who were bragging about Yuri only handling 1,500 people once, yet the three SSS-tier doing 10,000, what do you think of it now?"
"Yuri’s at 1,500, and you guys only do 200 a day in two times. Aren’t you ashamed?"
"This is the gap between an underachiever and a prodigy. It’s hilarious that these underachievers thought they could overwhelm the prodigy with numbers. On what ground? Their weight?"
"As an underachiever, I’m trembling. No, I don’t even qualify. You probably don’t know, Yuri topped the grade again this semester."
"She’s truly a genius."
"...."
Yuri was oblivious to the outside world. During the vacation, the person she spoke to the most was not Tuss or Officer Lyao, but her teachers.
When she ran into a problem and couldn’t find an answer, she would contact her teachers. They patiently explained the concepts to her as they would need her help in grooming the Sea of Consciousness in the future. When they found out about her own mecha workshop, they even kindly sent her the contacts of some mecha masters.
Having received the contact info of the mecha masters, Yuri sent them a message right away.
However, it seemed like the masters were busy and didn’t reply to her.
Until the next day...
That day, in the Grand Theater, Astra, Zenitha, and Electra were helping the alphas calm their Sea of Consciousness when suddenly, the soldiers’ communicators rang out urgently.
A soldier answered the call, and a frantic voice from the other end said, "Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness is erupting! Bring the three SSS-tier betas quickly."
The soldier stiffened, "Send us the coordinates. We’re on our way."
With that, the soldier turned to Astra, Zenitha, and Electra. "You heard the call. Now, immediately, follow me."
Astra and Zenitha were thrilled. Master Vonyee, the greatest mecha manufacturer of the Alliance, are we going to meet him in person?
Only Electra was confused. Seeing Astra and Zenitha following the soldiers, she hurriedly joined them.
"Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness has been unstable for a while now. He’s been too busy working to take time out for calming his Sea of Consciousness. We’ve tried persuading him, but he shrugged it off. This morning he was okay, but by noon, there was a sudden eruption. He managed to call us out but got himself trapped in the workshop. We’re not sure what the situation is inside." A worker of the workshop, anxious, led Astra and the others to the workshop.
"What tier of alpha is Master Vonyee?" Electra asked.
The worker was surprised that someone didn’t know Master Vonyee’s alpha level. He quickly replied, "He’s an SS-tier."
"Master’s mental threads have burst out." Astra looked upset, her hopes of networking with a mecha master now vanished into thin air.
She shook her head, "It’s too late to save him."
"You haven’t even tried, how can you say it’s hopeless?" a worker angrily retorted.
"Master Vonyee’s mental threads have ruptured his Sea of Consciousness, with hundreds of thousands or even millions of mental threads running wild outside. What do you suggest we do? Cut them all? Can the three of us even handle that? And if we could, would Master Vonyee even survive?" Astra fired back, leaving the worker pale and speechless.
The worker looked desperately at Zenitha and Electra, who both shook their heads slowly under his hopeful gaze.
"Let me contact Officer Yuri. Maybe she has a solution," a soldier suggested, reaching out to Yuri.
"Yes, yes, maybe Yuri can do something," the worker echoed quickly.
Astra snorted, "Even if it was Yuri, or a god for that matter, it would be useless."
The soldier and worker’s lack of faith left Zenitha and Electra looking displeased, but they did not intervene. If these people thought Yuri could handle it, then let them experience despair once more.
Yuri’s opticomputer had been switched off for a few days, but since she had added some mecha masters’ contacts and sent them messages, she didn’t turn it off today for fear of missing their replies.
Luckily for her, because the opticomputer was on, the soldier managed to send the call request through.
Seeing the soldier’s request, Yuri hesitated for three seconds before accepting. It might be an emergency.
"Officer Yuri, Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness is erupting. Please come and see," the soldier blurted out.
Yuri’s face changed instantly, "Send me the coordinates. I’m on my way."
Yuri bolted from her workshop, startling Tuss who was in the middle of mecha training, "What’s wrong?"
"Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness is erupting. I need to go there now," Yuri explained hurriedly.
"Climb up, I’ll take you there." Tuss opened his mecha’s hatch.
Yuri leaped onto the mecha, nimbly hopped into the cockpit, and within a moment, the mecha lifted into the sky and vanished.
The soldier ended the call and paced nervously on the spot.
"Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness is erupting. Even if your Officer Yuri arrives now, it would take at least 20 minutes. What can she do then? Pick up Master Vonyee’s corpse?" Astra said nastily.
"Shut up," the worker glared at Astra.
The soldier merely glanced at her, "Officer Yuri is not only an SSS-tier beta but also an excellent mecha fighter. She won’t need 20 minutes in her mecha."
No sooner had the soldier finished his words than they saw a speck in the sky grow larger and larger, and in the blink of an eye, it was right in front of them.
The red and green mecha was eye-catching and unique. Anyone who had seen Yuri and Tuss’s videos on the interstellarnet recognized their mecha.
The next moment, the mecha landed, and a woman with delicate features, fair skin, and a radiant glow hopped out from the hatch.
"Is Master Vonyee inside there?" Yuri pointed at the workshop, a building several times larger than her own.
"Yes," the soldier replied, pointing at Astra and the others, "They say he can’t be saved. Do you have a solution?"
Yuri didn’t glance at Astra and her group, "The situation is serious. Saving him would likely require a significant recovery period."
As she spoke, Yuri’s psychic power surged into the workshop, heading straight for Master Vonyee’s Sea of Consciousness. Almost instantly, her psychic blade severed millions of mental threads. The next step was to help Master Vonyee rebuild his psychic shield to prevent his Sea of Consciousness from collapsing further.
