I Married A Degraded Alpha
Chapter 115: Hoarah’s Harassment

Chapter 115: Hoarah’s Harassment

When the two level-three commanders had fallen asleep, the leaders of the academy had all turned somber.

The academy’s reputation might be being tarnished.

They were infuriated at the moment, yet they couldn’t afford to show it, or even leave. They had to maintain a façade of graciousness. Apart from these two commanders, there were numerous officers of ranks four, five, and six present. Many of them were alumni of the Military Academy Number One.

Moreover, there were people from all walks of life. The crowd wasn’t quite ten thousand, but several thousand nonetheless. If the leaders stormed off now, the academy would undoubtedly make headlines on the interstellar net news the following day.

The student performers were also quite upset. They had been preparing for the academy’s anniversary celebration since the last semester. Their rehearsals had started with full confidence right at the start of this term. No one would’ve guessed it would lead to this...

Their spirits were almost shattered. The students wore long faces, with tears threatening to spill from their eyes.

Only Tuss, who led the formation module, remained calm and composed, carrying on with his performance meticulously.

"There are other audience members. Show them the class and standards of our Military Academy Number One," Tuss spoke in a cold tone.

At his words, the students on and off stage looked stunned, and their expressions immediately changed.

Ender, Daleks, and Kilana, watching from below, saw the students on stage perform with more focus and seriousness than before, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Yuri’s become even more powerful. All the third-level commanders are SS-tier, yet she managed to knock them all out. I can’t help but feel bad for the students on stage. They’re really having a hard time," Daleks said.

"At least they managed to stabilize the situation," Kilana replied.

"Who on earth thought it would be a good idea to stir things up during our academy’s anniversary celebration?" Daleks expressed his anger.

"Who else but Officer Lyao?" Ender retorted with a roll of his eyes.

Once Yuri had finished her tasks, handing out all the water she had, she calmly left to fetch another box for the other guests.

Only when all the water was given out did she and the other volunteers leave.

Yuri quickly took advantage of a break to rush to the restroom. As soon as she reached, her restrained Enova and psychic power that had been steadily building broke through their peak and advanced to the next level.

Level-five Enova, level-six psychic power. A radiant smile spread across Yuri’s face. Her efforts over the past days had finally paid off.

Especially today.

Yuri stayed in the restroom for a while, allowing her newly elevated state to stabilize before she stepped out.

"Yuri, what a coincidence," Hoarah, leaning against the wall, waved at Yuri.

Frowning, Yuri asked, "Were you waiting for me here?"

"You caught me," Hoarah replied with a smirk.

"Need something?" Yuri’s face showed her impatience.

"Not really. Just checking in on you. Performing the Sea of Consciousness procedure for so many people, are you okay now?" he asked.

"Shut up," Yuri threatened him, "Watch your mouth, or I won’t care if you’re an SSS-tier alpha, I won’t hesitate to hit you."

"I mean no harm, I just want to be friends with you, but you never give me a chance. How about you give it a shot with me, Yuri? With our compatibility, you might have a different experience than with Tuss. After all, we’re a better fit," Hoarah said, his words filled with intrigue.

"Other than making me feel sick, I don’t feel anything for you," Yuri scoffed.

Hoarah’s face fell instantly, "Yuri, my patience has its limits too."

"Perfect, I’ve run out of patience for you as well," Yuri snapped.

The next second, she smelled a faint scent of soapberries.

"You dare use pheromones on me," Yuri gritted her teeth.

Her newly level-six psychic power acted like a sharp blade, stabbing towards Hoarah’s head.

Hmm.

Hoarah’s face turned pale instantly. He hunched over, his body curled up, veins bulging on his forehead and sweat rolling down his face, clearly in great pain.

"Put away your pheromones," Yuri ordered coldly.

The scent of soapberries quickly faded until it completely disappeared. Only then did Yuri withdraw her Psychic Power.

By this point, Hoarah’s clothes were soaked in sweat. He sat against the wall, his eyes sparkling with a stubborn determination.

"Don’t show up in front of me, or next time, it’ll be much worse than today," Yuri warned without even looking at Hoarah, then she walked away with big strides.

The level-two and -three commanders didn’t sleep for long. They were woken up by the soldiers dispatched by Officer Lyao.

Falling asleep at someone else’s celebration was an utmost rudeness. Martin was the first to apologize to the students and officials of Military Academy No. 1. The other commanders followed suit, bowing in apology with sincere attitudes.

However, they remained tight-lipped about the reason they all fell asleep.

Although this incident didn’t make the headlines, it wasn’t kept secret. Not only the teachers and students of Military Academy No. 1 but also many people on Planet Alpha and throughout the Alliance heard about it.

Especially the higher-ups in the Alliance, they all understood what was happening. Before Martin and others left Military Academy No. 1, they received countless messages.

When they returned, they were surrounded by a crowd of people.

"Good job, Martin, keeping such good things to yourself. Have you forgotten who carried you out from the pile of insectoids when you were injured and unconscious?"

"I saved you too," Martin retorted.

"So what? You’re going to just leave me to die now?"

"Of course not," Martin blurted out.

"Then how will you save me?"

Martin was stumped and pointed the finger at Officer Lyao, "Ask Lyao, he arranged it."

In the middle of dealing with official business, Officer Lyao sneezed. He rubbed his nose, wondering who was thinking about him.

"Is the celebration at Military Academy No. 1 over?" Officer Lyao asked.

"It’s over," Bassus said, his face somewhat contorted, "The level-three commanders present today all fell asleep." And loud snoring echoed. It was simply too embarrassing.

Officer Lyao’s face was calm, showing no surprise. "In my personal name, I’ll donate 500 basic model mechas to Military Academy No. 1."

Bassus’ eyes widened in shock, he said incredulously, "500 units?"

"What’s the problem? Don’t I have enough money in my account?" Officer Lyao frowned.

"It’s enough... yeah. I’ll arrange it right away," Bassus hastily agreed, almost as if he feared Officer Lyao would change his mind. He immediately left to arrange it.

The school officials would probably be very pleased to hear this good news.

Officer Lyao, having made a big donation himself, didn’t let the others off the hook. He sent a message to Martin and others, saying, "How did the treatment go? Is the reward ready? How many astracredits do you think this is worth? Pay me the amount you think it’s worth."

Martin and others received Officer Lyao’s group message and exchanged glances.

"How much are you guys giving?"

"This integration was priceless to me, it saved my life after all."

"But if we give too much now, will we be unable to afford the reward next time?"

"It’s quite a dilemma."

"Should we unify the price at 20 million astracredits?"

"That sounds reasonable."
